I am a long-time customer at Tagawa and just had a negative experience that left a horrible impression on me: I bought a sheffelera there in January. It wasn't expensive, (especially relative to the very high prices they charge for houseplants.) It was $20, and it was huge, filling a one gallon pot. Well, you get what you pay for... I brought it home, and planted it with brand-new potting soil in a brand-new pot. Said pot is enormous, and very heavy once filled with dirt. It took two people to bring it upstairs. Within a couple of weeks, IT WAS COVERED WITH APHIDS. I cut the plant down to dirt level, put it in a trash bag, and took it out to the trashcan before it could infect my other plants. I called the nursery and left a voicemail. A woman called me back and explained that I needed to dig said trash bag out of my garbage, put it in my car, and drive it to the nursery before they would issue a store credit. Now, I ask you: If you ran a business and had a loyal customer who spent well over $1000 at your store over the years, would you put them through the ringer to give store credit for a $20 plant? Or would you appreciate your loyal customer, give them the benefit of the doubt, and own the problem without annoying them and making them jump through hoops? Management missed this one and lost a customer.

The staff at this Garden Center are so friendly and helpful. I am always greeted with a smile and have nice conversations, regardless of much I spend.Happy New's Years and enjoy the well deserved time off! See you next year.

I brought my 2.5 year old to the Lil Buds event, and it was so fun! (And free, what??) Karen and Tom had a bunch of different activities planned that all centered on teaching kids about nature. There was a Storytime, then Tom lead them through the “forest” (Christmas tree section lol) with his flashlight while they pretended to be animals just like in the book. Then they had an adorable craft set up for the kids to make bird feeders out of pine cones to help the birds find food in winter. My son was especially into dipping the pinecones into the birdseed, and was so proud and happy to have made some presents for his grandparents. And I was very happy they had a cleaning station all set up for messy little hands. They even had cute little green bags to take them home in. All in all, definitely a new monthly staple on my calendar!

Love Tagawa! They are not the cheapest garden center, and if you live in Denver it's a bit of a drive, but worth it. In the Xmas holidays great trees and wreaths and holiday decor, ornaments and poinsettias. In growing season excellent selection of plants, flowers, perennials and annuals. Also lots of nice decor and accessories. Very knowledgeable staff as well!

The fall festival was lots of fun. There were fun activities for the kids like headband making. My granddaughters chose to make bees. They also glued faces & accessories on a pumpkin. We went for a horse & wagon ride. The kids also did a scavenger hunt throughout the store. We saw part of the hawk show. There are lots of beautiful plants & accessories. My personal favorite is the fairy garden plants & accessories.

Terrible Service, bunch of hens clucking at each other and ignoring their customers and their employees. Women managers are bitter and rude.

This is a premier garden nursery!!! They stand by their products, unlike any other garden shops in Denver. They patiently listen and offer expert advice. They offer classes in a vast array of plant-related topics and other topics like crafts. Everyone there seems to love what they do!!! My favorite place to shop and just browse for inspiration!!

I went into to check the place out since the greenhouse by me is now apartments. This place is huge and has an excellent selection of anything you possibly could need or didn't think you did. Or perhaps, just didn't realize that you needed something in your life. Tom G helped me out with the shrubs and trees out front. He was very friendly and had great knowledge of what my area would need. I definitely recommend this place and the drive is pretty worth it too.
