Glen Eden Resort is a lovely, fun, and relaxing weekend getaway located in a rustic, gorgeous area along the river, about 13 to 20 miles outside of Steamboat. The cabins are nice, clean, cozy, and well-maintained, with all the necessities and well-stocked kitchens. Some are pet-friendly and back right to the river, offering quiet stays with the lovely sound of the water. The staff is very nice, helpful, knowledgeable, and communicative. The resort is a perfect spot for reunions or enjoying beautiful Colorado scenery and nearby activities like Steamboat Lake State Park. Guests should be prepared for mountain conditions; the road can be snow-covered in ski season, and snow removal is handled efficiently. Occasional WiFi outages or brief power losses can occur during heavy snow, but the location is ideal for those seeking snow and scenery rather than resort-wide WiFi. While generally comfortable, some cabin details like squeaky beds or a hot tub without jets have been noted. Overall, it is a highly recommended, everything-you-were-expecting place where guests love to return.
Great place, just be aware that a lot of the restaurants on the grounds and surrounding area after Steamboat Springs are closed on Monday and Tuesday. We had plenty to do and was able to have down time to just relax.

We stayed in the Rabbit Ears cabin. Beds are comfortable, decor is nice, kitchen is well stocked for cooking needs. It is located right near the path to the river for morning and evening strolls to the river or fire ring. Dog friendly cabin is a huge bonus!

My family and I have been coming here for years. It’s a family tradition.
