“This is not much a review but more so a response to Karen R who gave Merrill Lynch at this location a 1 star rating. First of all, if Karen actually had a relationship with Merrill Lynch, she would have had her own dedicated Advisor at this location who would take care of the IRA distribution for her. All she would need to do is sign a distribution form or get on the phone with a Client Associate (the Advisor's assistant) for a verbal recording and she would get her distribution check within a week. The fact that Karen had to contact a general customer service number for this request and got different answers everytime was clear indication that she must have had an account at Merrill Edge which is an entirely different division than Merrill Lynch. The Advisors at Merrill Lynch work with a specific group of their own clients and only have access to their own clients' accounts so if a random client called in to request service, these Advisors would have no way to accommodate. Long story short, it's unfair to call out an entire company if Karen R. couldn't even tell where her money is at.”
