Way too long waiting to get checked. All my hot food was cold by checkout. Only 1 check stand open at least 15 customers in line for it. Self checkout line went all the way to the back of the store.

They’ve setup some new self checkouts that use video verification which are absolutely HORRID. Every item above 21 items needs video verification. Even with the clerk helping me, they had to badge in like 6x to finally allow the system to check out. With your billions, please either hire more check out people or invest in better technology. They have tech that can automatically see what’s on the scale and account for it. These horribly programmed self checkout machines need to be replaced.

Employees do not want to help- they will look at you and ignore you till you have to yell at a group of them to please help. Not the first time this has happened. The staffing is a joke. Do better

It is worth driving a bit farther to shop at this KS. Friendly, kind workers, clean and well stocked store. I love the self serve olive bar.

For everyone that thinks they are “saving money”, enjoy getting price gouged on groceries and gas. Kroger raised prices on everything because they will be forced to lower mark-ups when their merger with Albertsons is complete. Heck, even their water refill station saw a 40% mark-up and gas is $0.80 more than other places.

This King Soopers staffing levels are a joke. Forget ever being able to “hop in quick” for anything. The lines are always snaking back into the middle of the store because this location is too cheap to staff anything more than a lane or two of checkout. Since Commerce City won’t build any other retail up in this area this is the only option close by so no incentive to change or staff up. If I just need some milk or something simple, I just stop at a gas station instead even if it costs double, because I’ll spend 2 minutes grabbing the milk, and 15 minutes waiting to checkout, at this King Soopers.

Expect to wait in long checkout lines because King Sooper's is too cheap to hire anyone to work the registers. Even the self-checkout lines will have long lines going back into the aisles. Terribly disorganized and it shows. Shop elsewhere if you can.

It does not seem fair to rate this store a 1 star based on lines alone, if that were an option it would receive a -5. Please, PLEASE do something about the line wait times. I cannot imagine how a line extending *full aisle lengths* OUTSIDE of self-checkout stations is not a 5-alarm fire to management. If your transaction processing speed vs customer volume ratio is severely imbalanced, you have the constant influx of revenue and ultimate ability to fight staff attrition and pay them a respectable amount of money to keep them on board. Also, for what it's worth closing down half of the self-checkout stations in evenings is an absolute failure in efficiency. When both are open, I have seen many occasions where the two staff members are busy socializing when multiple people on both sides are waiting for help. One can easily manage both sections and if loss-prevention is a concern you have an armed security officer standing 15 feet away. Other than that, I find the staff to be consistently friendly and ultimately empathize with the situation(s) ultimately out of their control.

Look - I understand how busy this King Soopers gets daily, but there's not really an excuse for only having self-checkout open VS never having other checkout lines open.Unless you're here early in the morning or late at night when there's not as many people, it kinda sucks to shop here.Unfortunately, I've stopped coming to this store as often and just went to 7/11 to avoid the constant stream of people. It's not really worth it anymore. I used to come here for lunch during the weekday as well, but it's still just not really worth it. This King Soopers has just kinda fell off.

I would not recommend doing pickup orders from this location. I consistently get incorrect items (not substitutions) the correct item is on my receipt, it's just not what I got. Items are missing frequently, even though I'm charged for them. Once I got the complete wrong order and had to go back. For pickups, definitely go to another King Soopers location.

From first walking in Green Valley rd location is double the size and a friendly employee vibe, this is what other locations strive to be. Maybe my wife wont call the chain King Stupid. Good food pricing very relaxing location

There is ALWAYS a long line to check out. On busiest days they have 3 registers open, both self checkouts open with lines going back to the middle isle of the store. On non busy days, they have 2 or 3 registers open with only one self check out area open with lines half way down the isle. Forget about running to the store for a stick or butter or Gallon of milk. You are stuck in a ling line that never goes away. There are other grocery stores about 7 miles in 3 directions. That's where we shopped before this one opened. I knew it was going downhill when the baggers disappeared and the we had to bag our own groceries. Then they reduced the people to run a register even though the community is growing every week. I don't know how that works. Nice store otherwise.

Not a bad market, but they cannot for the lives of them figure out how to keep enough people employed to check out. Self checkout is backed up to the warehouse and they have one regular checkout lane open. This is such a terrible look for management. This store just went through a worker strike and yet they still can't staff correctly.

Had another bad experience with this store this morning. Some of these reviews say that there isn’t another store nearby, and I just thought I’d address that.• Target is 12 minutes away from this King Sooper• Walmart is 14 minutes away• Safeway is 17 minutes away• And, if you really want to go, another King Sooper is 12 minutes awayIt’s inconvenient, but it is entirely possible to go to a different store and not deal with the issues with this one.------------This store is miserable. To summarize my review below – if you can go somewhere else, anywhere else, you should. When you walk around to get your stuff, there are people stocking and people gathering groceries for home delivery. It’s a crowded store, even when there are no customers, but no one is there to help you. These people are in the way. They are running all over the place and they have no respect for customers who come into the store. The prices in this store make no sense. The recent inflation may be the cause, I’m not sure, but there are things in this store that are way overpriced. For example, deli meat at King Sooper is almost twice the cost of deli meat from target. Progresso soup is a dollar more at King Sooper than it is at Target. The selection of produce also seems pretty slim. You can go to Safeway in Brighten and get a better selection, and that store is tiny. The meat is the only competitively priced thing in the store. The people who work here – the cashiers – are hit and miss. Almost universally you have to bag your own groceries. Last time I visited, I had a cashier actually stand there for a few minutes while I bagged my own groceries. If I have to spend that much money for groceries, someone ought to step up and help bag themWhen the store is busy, it takes longer to check out than it does to get your items. The Self-checkout here is pointless. It doesn’t speed anything up. There’s typically a line. It just means that going to the store is a lot of work. I’ve tried to go to this store at 7:00 in the morning and speed things up, but there are still crowds and there are less workers. This equates to slower, more miserable checkouts. If you go at night, there will be an armed guard. Typically, he will be talking to the cashiers (i.e., slowing things down) or outside leaning up against the building (i.e., on break). This guy isn’t helpful and should just go away.I could go on (e.g., parking, the constant new hires, the produce that sometimes doesn’t last a day when you get it home, the layout of the store that drives you toward cold goods that will melt or rot before you pay for them, etc.), but it’s pointless.I hope you have a better experience here. For me, it’s a 1 star.

This might just be the worst managed King Soopers in the entire metro area. I'm sad it's the only one near me. The checkout stands are never open. There is currently one checker and one self checkout. All with about 30-40 people waiting to check out. NOT EXAGGERATING. Do better King Soopers.
