I did business at this location starting over a decade ago with the original owners. However in the past year, book keeping concerns I have involving the main office caused me to close out my storage unit. When I did so I had an outstanding pre-pay balance of a little over $116 on my account. Despite the amount being acknowledged by Carrie and a refund request signed by her, I have never seen this money back. I was told to wait a month and if I didn't see a check to contact the office. I did so, and a Samantha responded that I would hear back from the owner or manager. I was then promptly ghosted by this company and have been unable to get a response or my refund despite any avenue approached. This has been going on for 2 1/2 months now. Do not prepay with this company you will never see that money again, it was just pocketed. I have the emails and paperwork to back all of this up. Also watch your late fees. You may get one depending on when they decide to open the mail, not when the check arrives. I got one because it took them two weeks to check the mail, not because the check arrived late. A check even sent on the 1st doesn't take until the 12th to show up.
UPDATE: I finally got my money back, it only took getting the BBB involved to get them to own up.
RESPONSE TO OWNER: The beauty of the digital age is that your claims can be tested. Not once did you try to contact me to see if I received my refund. That is a flat out lie. I tried to contact you twice with no response. It was not until over a month after the BBB complaint was filed that received an indirect written response through the BBB that a refund had finally been sent. Almost 3 months after my unit was closed out. The only direct contact I got from your office was yesterday 6/17 at 3:14pm when your office attempted to bribe me to change this review.

DO NOT STORE YOUR THINGS HERE!!!!!
Storage facility heist in March, 2024. Twenty units were burglarized over a two day period. There ARE NO SECURITY CAMERAS WORKING -FOR 2 years even though they advertise them. Clearly the managerial foot patrol isn't in place either or this large two day heist would have been discovered.. No apologies- either from the surly young staff in Dacono or headquarters in CA.
This place is not secure and if they tell you it is, they are lying. BEWARE!!!! I am forced to give it one star in order to post this- but actually they deserve negative stars.
I cannot stress enough the potential danger to you of storing your items here. There is NOT the security that advertise- no cameras working, no person on premises and no "walking the beat' to make certain everything is secure. It's a lie and because of their lies a 15 unit heist took place over a two day period in March 2024. Nothing was recovered and no help from personell or their headquarters in Los Angeles CA. BEWARE !!!! and store your things some other place.

Y'all let me tell you about A-American storage I been with them since they were a different name. I started getting mad they they wouldn't understand that the $36 late fee is messing with me so I called and explained I dont get paid till the second Friday of every month. They are working with me. Thank you to the office ppl and the boss for understand!!!.
