A+ Hardwood Floors did a great job at our home. We took a large pony wall and they seamlessly weaved the new flooring with the existing, added new flooring in our dining area and sanded and finished the entire main floor to perfection. The dustless method used is amazing. The entire area is sealed off from the rest of the home, Zipper plastic placed in needed doorways. There is likely less expensive flooring companies around, but you get what you pay for. Highly recommend A Plus Hardwood Floors.

Avoid this company at ALL costs if you want any kind of resolution should you have ANY issues with the work they do. First of all, i NEVER did get a return call from the owner, apparently she just bought the business recently.....she needs a course in customer service! In addition, the manager, Heidi was extremely rude when calling to find out why the owner hadn't bothered to return my call. Or email me back for that matter. Upon having their "pro" come out to look at my issue, he said that my wood floor was in the "1% category" of floors that "just have problems" and there's nothing they could do about it; and in fact any other company i called would give the same analysis and response. He said he'd been in the business 10 years so he surely knew what he was talking about, since i DID NOT agree with his analysis. He said it could NEVER be fixed and it would happen again even if they did honor the warranty. He told me to call a reputable company, not a mom and pop shop. Even gave me a few companies to call, one being Denver Hardwood. (sidenote...call them, they were awesome!) The guy from Denver Hardwood came out, took one look and said it was a total adhesion issue. That the installers had not prepped the floor properly and that the guy who said my floor was not repairable (1%)was laughable! I could go on about the lack of professionalism from the owner and her complete lack of customer service as well as not standing behind her company's work. ALL IN ALL....DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!!!

It was a long story with a happy ending. Showed up during their business hours on a Saturday to check out options and the alarms went off and no one was home. Worked with my HOA to provide specs on materials, but overall communication and responsiveness was poor. I had to constantly follow up rather than receive proactive communication. The floors I picked would have caused a month delay. The second choice I picked ended up getting lost and causing more delay. Half this stuff wasn’t A+ flooring fault, and I recognize that. They deserve 4 stars because my floors look and are Great. Just not a fun process of working with themServices: Install flooring

I had called at least five hardwood floor companies. Many of them were booked months out. Excellent for them, problematic for me. A+ Hardwood Floors came out to give the bid within a couple of days, the bid was below others I obtained. The floors at my Grammie’s home are the original 1964 hardwood floors. There was some water damage from a portable air conditioning unit that had leaked, my grandma had had the carpets covered the entire time she lived in the home. So the wood had been protected except where the air conditioning unit leaked. Upon discovering the damage as I ripped up the carpet, I fully expected those damaged boards would to have to be replaced. The guys that came sanded, filled the gaps where water damage occurred and finish the hardwood floors. It is not noticeable, at all, where the water damage had been. The guys worked quickly, efficiently, and performed an outstanding job.Heidi, who runs the office was friendly, and even took the time to talk to me about my grandma having had just passed. She was so compassionate & kind.I really like this company and I love their service. The floors are beautiful! Thank you A+!!!

A+ Hardwoods is the name, but C- is the service. We have used A+ Hardoods since 2015 for four different projects, and they used to be great. We recommended them to multiple friends. I guess all good things come to an end... We had A+ refinish our existing oak floors in 2015 with a stain and oil-based polyurethane. We then had them add oak to the kitchen floor, stain, and poly to match. You can't even tell where the new floor starts - the match is perfect. Last year we had them add oak treads to our existing staircase and patch two areas in the existing floor where there were holes from ducts. A+ did this work while we were out of town (planned) since the oil-based poly is very stinky for a long time. When we returned, there was no smell, and the stairs were rough - you could feel the texture of the wood. We brought this to the attention of A+ and they told us that it is normal, but that they would apply an "extra" coat at no charge. They did this, and again it had no significant smell. We let them know that this didn't seem to be oil-based poly, and they gaslighted us saying to us that we didn't know what we were talking about. After pulling teeth, we got a manager on site and they confirmed that it was water based poly rather than oil-based. It didn't match the existing floors and it is less durable. The "fix" suggested by A+ was to "roughen the surface" and apply what we thought was an oil-based poly. The crews came out and scratched up the floors and applied a shellack finish that is verrrry shiny. You can see the swirl marks from the "roughening." The finish is extremely shiny and doesn't come close to matching the existing oil-based poly finish adjacent. It is hard to take pictures that show the scratches and shiny finish. We were tired of the constant crews in our space and the apparent inability to fix the issue, so we settled for a finish that didn't match. Then came the peeling!! About 8 months after installation, the floors peeled when we put down painter's tape for 30 minutes to paint the risers. This does not happen on the oil-based poly original floor. This brought to our attention other areas that are peeling where NO tape was applied. It looks like the "roughening" process didn't work, and the shellack is not sticking to the water-based poly underneath. Needless to say, this is not the finished product that we paid for. The stairs cost over $3,000 so it was not a cheap job. When contacting A+, they first did not return my emails for months until I finally called and got ahold of Heidi at the front desk. Finally, my emails were forwarded to the owner, Brittney Skelton, who responded that she had just bought the company a few months ago and therefore wouldn't honor my warranty. Also, they said that since tape was applied it voided the warranty. If oil-based poly had been put down from the beginning and I applied tape 8 months later, this would not have happened. But if it did, it would be on me. This delaminated because it was a "quick fix" job and the second applied coat is peeling off the second coat, even where no tape was applied. We have asked the owner to make it right, but they have no interest in doing so. Avoid A+ at all costs!Services: Install flooring

Do yourself a favor and choose someone other than this company. We endured a weeks long process that should have taken days. This company is unreliable, unresponsive and will treat you as though you are being unreasonable to ask them to correct mistakes made by subcontractors they use who are sloppy and cut corners.Services: Sanding

We have worked with A Plus Hardwood Floors twice, once at our old house where we had our hardwood floors refinished and most recently at our new home where we have LVP installed. We were satisfied with both experiences. At our old house A Plus was able to breath new life into the original flooring from the 1940s that had been hidden for years under carpet. We wanted to do the same thing at our new house but at the start of the project, we were told the original flooring was too stained to make it worth our while. A Plus suggested we go with LVP instead. I appreciate their honest assessment of the situation and couldn’t be happier with the result. The company was able to quickly pivot and order supplies and install the new flooring within a tight window before our move-in date. The customer service and communication with us was great. Our flooring is attractive, is able to handle kids and pets, and was in our budget to install.

We recently had our hardwood floors refinished by A Plus. We had a lot of wood that was old and had a lot of blemishes. Old adhesive stains from previous kitchen cabinets left behind from our remodel, water damage in front of a door and bleached wood throughout from the old plate glass windows. Not only that, but there was over 22 stairs that needed refinishing as well. The crew that came to our house was Bruno and Andre and they worked their butts off on this job! They started on a Tuesday and were done by Friday. They took care not to damage the trim floor boards or the bottom trim around our cabinetry. They cleaned up each day when they left. They were friendly, personable and reliable and kept in communication with me all week long. For hardwood floor refinishing, A Plus, Bruno and Andre would be a great choice for your project!!

Our experience was not horrible but certainly not great. Sales was great thought we were getting a great company and did not expect to be disappointed however, we are:I will start with a positive the color of the stain is beautiful, it was a mix of two choices and it turned out beautiful. We would give the installers of the #1 red oak a 7 out of 10, they could have kept a few of the joints tighter and they should have asked how close to the sink pipes to lay it they were off by 1/2" which caused us to have to spend another $400.00 on another cabinet to go on the back side of the sink base. They also should have clarified that removal of old stair treads and risers is not apart of their install. They laid the new treads right on top of the old squeeky treads so guess what they still squeek. Had I known they would not remove the old (easy to do), I would have done so myself. Corner bead damage caused great difficulty installing baseboard. Installed the floor in a way that covered the vent partially, the flush floor vents fit however the full vent is not open as it once was.Finishers, (again we love the color), The finisher helper had a spackle knife and some filler and we watched him fill random spots it was not filled from edge to edge which was one of the selling points we wanted. That evening, we went through the entire floor and marked with blue tape all the obvious flaws that were not filled, texted pics to the company and were told dont worry they will get filled and sanded again and you will love it. Next day, we had the assumption all of our tape spots would be addressed. We arrived home that evening to see the entire floor was stained, but could also see the places we had taped still had not been filled. We once again reached out and the company told us that not to worry we would love it once the clear coat sealer was completed a second time. We come home and see swirl marks and raised spots right in the entry. We examine the floor as we have all other times and every spot that really bothered us were still there. In addition we found that they had sealed the floor vents in and they were not removable. Once again we contacted the company, explained the vents not removable, explained the flaws never fixed, we were sent out one of the foreman, who can certainly talk the talk. He proceeded to tell us that it is wood and there are always flaws, on a couple of them he used some filler and stain pen, to try and correct. a couple of them he tried and then said I better leave this for the finisher, he can do a better job. Told us dont worry you will love it. The finisher came back another day, I told him that all of this could have been prevented if my original blue tape marks had been addressed prior to stain and finish. He again told me that they did fill and resand, and the filler must have come out during sanding or vaccuming. (We call BS) we sincerely do not believe our markings were ever addressed. He again used some filler and stain to try and improve upon our main issues. He had to use a razor blade, a screwdriver and a mallat to remove the vents, that now show imperfections around their edges. In the process of removing one of them the wood split, he took it out and apperently glued it back together, put it back in. I asked I saw you split that one will you replace, he picked it up in his hands and showed me it was solid and put it back in the floor. During this time, I was a bit frazled and wished my husband could have been home to deal with this guy. Larry came over & I am not a confortational person so I pointed out the issues and was told that I needed to stop looking at it with a microscope and just live. That once I start living I will no longer see the flaws. My husband called and we did receive a new vent to replace the broken one. All in all, it is what it is, just future patrons be aware, you may have the experience others have had that are great or you may have my experience. Sad when you friends see the issues without being prompted to look and without a microscope.Se
