This store is usually very helpful. Unfortunately, my feelings now are the opposite. I bought a hand held staple gun for a simple DIY project. This thing didn't work. It jammed constantly. When it actually stapled it spit two out with one being twisted. I went back to the store to return it, no return on tools. Not why, whats wrong, let me take a look. Just a shady attitude like I was trying to get over on the store. No offer to exchange, store credit, nope. I cannot shop some place who sells a piece of junk and won't try to make it right. Went to Home Depot, bought another and finished my project. Bye, bye Ace Hardware.

I went to multiple Lowes and Home Depot’s, and even the other two Thornton’s Ace Hardwares and no one knew how to re-key lock cylinders. Nathan @ this Ace was super knowledgeable, friendly, and was able to do it on a Sunday. Will be back to this location every time now! Thank you Nathan and Ace!

Called ahead and asked about the part we needed. The staff didn’t just check for it—they held it at the counter until we arrived. They were extremely friendly and helpful, we were glad to support a locally owned business today. Went at 9:50, 4/29.

They have the hardware be hide a counter so it makes it impossible to find the right hardware you want!

I didn't even buy anything here. I ride a motorcycle and needed some fasteners to attach the license plate. But when I arrived I was told I needed to leave the back pack I wear up front!! I'm 50. I can afford anything in the store. But won't buy nothing when you question my integrity.

Very, very helpful staff (she looked up an item for me (showed me the choices on her computer screen) informed me of when to expect to be able to pick up item).. Walked me to to the exact spot i could find another item i was searching for. Kudos to her & the store 05/2024.

I aimed to return three unopened gallons of Penofin stain, which were in stock colors already visible on the store shelves.Issue Faced:The front desk staff member immediately adopted a dismissive and rude tone upon my request. He expressed an unreasonable concern over "losing out" by accepting returns of products that were identical to what they already had in stock. His logic was perplexing and frustrating, as these were unopened, resellable items that matched their current inventory.Customer Service:The encounter was far from the professional and courteous service I expected. The staff member's unwelcoming attitude made a simple return process unnecessarily complicated and uncomfortable. It's disheartening to face such resistance when trying to complete a basic transaction.Resolution:No effort was made to resolve the situation or accommodate my needs as a customer. I was left with no choice but to leave the store with items I had no use for, feeling undervalued and mistreated.Conclusion: This experience has significantly tarnished my perception of Ace Hardware's commitment to customer satisfaction. The refusal to accept a legitimate return, coupled with the staff member's rudeness, highlights a serious need for improvement in customer service.
