I am so sad to leave!! I am going to miss my second home. I stayed at catbird for a month. It is super cool! The staff was like family including valet. I loved the coffee and breakfast. The lobby was so cozy where people were so friendly. I even had a Denver womens meetup there. The lobby included a fireplace, comfy seating and fun games.( Even though Dawn beat me at checkers ). Although I was disappointed the roof top bar was closed we still enjoyed the view and hot tub. It seemed like almost every day there were activities- movie night, yoga, trivia, playroom, gym, bikes, moped, bourbon tasting, animal artists plus more. A special thank you goes out to Dawn, Roel, Juliet, Cliff , Gil and everyone I forgot to mention. You were all great. I’ll miss you.
Rooms: I stayed in the junior suite and loved the projector screen ✌️
Walkability: So much fun things to do in RiNo
Food and drinks: Great holiday drinks

It’s a really cool hotel that is completely different than anything I’ve experienced. Great longterm option with beautiful accommodations free washers and dryers, breakfast, water system and safety. I would recommend taking advantage of free parking on the streets adjacent from the self serve parking garage.

This place is really cool, good vibes, neat rooms. Had a water and ice station on our floor which was awesome. Full kitchen, with fridge/freezer and dishwasher. Bed was comfy and room design was very cool. The only negative was the rooftop lounge was closed and all lights off and the hot tub was open but rooftop was creepy dark and uninviting so we didn’t use it like we had intended. Valet parking for car is $52 a night for hotel guest, which is absurd so we parked on the street for free. Also, on top of all the fees charged with the room, they charge an additional $30 resort fee. Which sucks if you don’t use anything other than your room. The checkin process also really sucked as you did it yourself and their computers system was not user friendly. Projector screen in room on window shade is awesome concept except, projectors make very loud noise while running.
Rooms: Amazing concept and design
Walkability: Felt safe to walk to and from car after dark.
Food and drinks: Near to food and drinks

Lovely staff at every level, I would assume they're treated well. There's great tech in rooms and check-in; if you're here while the roof is open, it's a fantastic experience.

Stayed here for a week and found the hotel to be very nice, clean and unique. The rooms are very large and cool. My only gripe is the fan for the projector was very loud in our room, sounded like an oscillating fan on full blast the whole time we watched TV.
The rooftop has a nice view, the Rino district has plenty to see and do. The free breakfast item in the morning was a nice treat as well. I'm a loyal Marriott person but I wouldn't hesitate to stay in the Catbird again instead.

I really wanted to love this hotel. The rooms were so cute and nicely done, and the evening receptionist who helped us was supet nice, which are the only reasons I'm giving stars at all.
Parking is horrible. You get the option to park on the street and risk having something happen to your car, paying $50+ for valet, or having to park in a parking garage slightly up the road and paying their prices. If I don't get free parking with my hotel stay, why am I paying an additional $30 amenities fee at the end of my stay. $30 for things a normal hotel rolls into the normal price.
Dont even get me started on the breakfast. Horrible. I guess I was expecting a normal complimentary buffet type breakfast, not pick two items for your entire room. The two items we got were horrible, and their "gluten free" marked items definitely have gluten triggers in them like oats.
Again, I really wanted to love this hotel, but the $30 amenities fee was the breaking point for us. We weren't even in our room for enough time to warrant using their "amenities" unless we were charged extra for sleeping in their beds too?

A truly exotic experience that's exhilarating, refreshing, and undoubtedly surprising—a cut above the rest when it comes to accommodations.
Exquisite comfort and competitive pricing, Catbird Hotel in downtown Denver, Colorado, is the perfect choice. I give it two enthusiastic thumbs up. Well done!
Former CBS Radio personality and a retired international mystery shopper, I can confidently say this place stands out.

Not very bad at all. The location is nice, and self check-in and check-out. The kiosk can be a bit temperamental to scan you id, but other than that, I have a great stay.
Rooms: Very functional rooms, a bit small but overall great.

We stayed a single night in November for a quick weekend trip in November. There was a room available when we arrived and the hotel is in a great location about two blocks from the train station. The vibe is great here and there's plenty to do at the hotel itself. All staff we interacted with were friendly and helpful. It's within 10 minutes walking distance to many great restaurants, breweries, and other spots. The room was clean and had a good view despite not being listed as a "view" room. The bed was very comfortable, with higher quality pillows. One of the best hotel showers I've experienced.
The only issue I had was when I did the deposit for the room I was later charged for the night despite pre-paying on a third-party site. I was only supposed to pay the $30 facility fee. I contacted the hotel and they did fix the billing error, but I never received a response. I'm not sure if it was user error at self check-in or a system error between the hotel and the third-party site.
Rooms: The room has an elevated bed with storage below. They have a screen that projects the television, which is cool for movies in bed and it looks neat from outside the hotel. The bed and pillows are high quality and very comfortable. The shower design and size are one of the best I've ever experienced in a hotel, great for tall people.
Nearby activities: There are lots of restaurants, breweries, shops, and sites within 15 minutes walking. I recommend a stop at Fish N Beer. It's in the River North District (RiNo). It's a few blocks from the river.
Safety: Standard door locks. We felt safe at all hours in the room, hall, and outside the facility. Staff are present on-site at all times, too.
Walkability: The hotel is about 2 blocks from the train station on mostly flat sidewalks, making it easy to bring in luggage from the train. There are lots of restaurants and spots within 15 minutes of the facility. Sidewalks are well developed, typical American urban design. We felt safe walking the area day and night.
Food and drinks: We only tried the complimentary tea and coffee in the lobby. The drinks and food for purchase looked good though.
Noteworthy details: Self check-in, rooftop bar, rooftop hot tubs, cozy lobby with board games, valet parking.
