Rick Peart is the real deal, very professional. I highly recommend everyone include him on your short list for tax help. He made the effort to return my call twice, emailed me my IRS status after checking on my behalf, and explained to me the item by item steps that he recommended, and because of his tax knowledge, led me to postpone proceeding with the plan I thought I would need to complete. He did all this for no charge, just hoping I call him next tax season, which I will. TY

I reached out to Rick at Colonial Tax Consultants in 2023 to help me with taxes I had not filed for 6 years. Rick's response was quick and reassuring as he already had all of the information needed regarding my tax returns. I was concerned I might owe which is why I wanted to hire someone to file on my behalf. I wasn't ready to file at that time but Rick was very patient and kept in contact with me all the way through to 2024 when I was finally ready to move forward. Initially, I was hesitant to work with a tax consultant that I found on the internet as they are based in Colorado and I live in Texas but took a chance, went with my gut and I'm sure glad I did. The previous testimonials gave me the push I needed for this leap of faith.
Rick and Nate we're prompt, accurate, communicative, professional and honest! Not only did I not owe which was a relief, Rick and his team were able to get my stimulus's from previous years and all refunds were exactly as he said they would be! Beverly g. is an absolute life saver!!! she is professional, organized, and really knowledgeable on tax solutions......it took about a year to get a resolution but with her patience and kindness in this crazy irs world I could not have asked for a better result!!!! she is the best....if u have a small tax problem or a huge tax problem she is your best friend when it comes to dealing with the IRS!!!!!! thank you Beverly!!!!!

Rick, Ashley, and Beverly did an amazing job. It was a stressful time for me and I was grumpy at times, but they were very patient, responding to all of my concerns. I had years of unfiled and unpaid self-employment taxes and a balance over ten grand. They were able to completely straighten out my tax situation and reduce my penalties. They also saved me a lot of money by knowing what's important and what's not (if you try to do it yourself). They negotiated with the IRS on my behalf and set me up with a very reasonable payment plan for the remainder of my balance. If you're on the fence, just know I had a great experience with these guys and highly recommend them.

Cannot thank Rick and Nate enough for their help getting my taxes fixed. Rick was kind enough to give me the information I needed to try and fix it myself (quickly became apparent I could not) and graciously welcomed me back when I accept defeat (coordinating with me on a Saturday no less!) Nate was also very kind and quick with his responses and work. Any little detail I had a question about he was happy to go through the information and explore different routes to make sure I was 100% comfortable and onboard with the process. I feel much more confident in myself and such an incredible relief knowing I’m back where I need to be. You won’t find a better group at such a great price! This group is worth every single penny!

My tax account finally has *resolution!! As mine was very complex which I'll touch on below.
To get started initially, I spoke with Rick and Beverly, his assistant --and they were on it right away; Got power of attorney steps started and IRS letters stopped immediately. Though I did initially interview with Rick by phone.. THANK YOU Rick for rescuing me with your skills from the situation. So I can say Colonial Tax Consultants in Colorado, are the best I've experienced.. After realizing what the IRS issues were, strategies/ planning, following the directions of the contract and learning both sides possible- IRS push back and speed bumps, came next. * fast forward in time, I broke down and needed a moment realizing My refund showed up. Plus interest..???!!! I had to find out if it was real..not receiving fake refunds potentially.. Including back IRS interest paid- to -my- account. To be fair, it's taxable too I'm finding. This is to be dealt with next tax season though. Beverly, his assistant who I worked with over time, demonstrated continuous empathy so she always sounded caring, had a way with assuring me, knowing things take time and always patient with me in the seemingly endless process. That was just my case. I saw it wasn't easy.
So, the team had this assigned IRS Advocate working on my behalf coordinating efforts from inside the IRS office. I never felt I had to stop trusting Beverly in coordinating sensitive efforts with them yet persevered mutually with encouragement as well too. As these things go both ways from how I see it. Definitely times of endurance came and had there waves for me no doubt. I especially appreciate they know how to listen and talk to me and my concerns but are fair and do there best and if there's any issue they let me know. I had a lot to sort out and always got encouraged to ask questions as needed. I'm so glad they were always willing to help when asking about my status!!!. Each case is unique and mine I knew was a huge risk going in:that being said with no guarantees. Just being *honest so issues can be handled in the best manner possible goes deep for the success of the case.
While being *very skeptical (didn't want to get burned, again) to consult Colonial Tax Consultants, Colorado. OMG Coming from divorce, threatening IRS letters, levies, pandemic shut down, excuses, previous tax refunds of hard earned money diverted to offset apparent back taxes filing; Issues of vulnerability and money hungry law firms wanting revenue coming in for themselves prior to hiring Colonial, ; while keeping quiet for personal safety and trust.. . Endure pre / post divorce... etc...doing lots of reviews about other such firms. (now to b r e a t h) including those of some employees who talked about the work life, describing the money flow* part?! I discovered someones reviews about Colonials and how they operate . That's how I actually came to know them after firing a firm who had those such strategies.
I'll definitely tell people I here of about Colonial , in Colorado.

I had a home that was repossessed back in the early 2000's after which the IRS sent me a statement for taxes they assessed in 2005. My wife passed away in 2007 and I am on disability, so they continued to send me a yearly statement adding penalties and interest year after year. This year, 2024, I began to wonder if they were going to eventually pursue me for the back taxes. While doing my research, I came across information on the IRS website that said the IRS actually has a 10 year statute of limitations in which to collect the back taxes. Of course, there were some restrictions and situations that could possibly suspend the statute and extend my liability. I figured it would be best to seek help with this situation from someone with experience in this area. I came across Rick Peart and Colonial Tax Consultants. Not only did they have multiple good reviews on their website, they have an A+ rating with the BBB. I contacted Rick and he reviewed my case before giving me an opinion. He said that from everything he found, I qualified for the 10 year statute of limitations clause. He didn't charge me anything for my initial consultation and assured me that I was under no obligation to use his service to handle my tax situation. I received his contract by email, which was straight forward. His charge for his service was very reasonable. Once I submitted my contract and the agreed upon fee on Wednesday of one week, he immediately went to work on it and had it resolved by Friday of the next week - along with the documentation to prove his work. I just want him to know how much I appreciate Colonial Tax Consultants.

CTC handled an IRS problem and it went exactly how they said it would. I was kept in formed, they were always there when I had a question and I was able to talk to the person handling my account. I would recommend CTC to anyone dealing with the IRS... These guys are good, really good !

So I was ripped off by another company that was supposed to do what these guys actually did for half what I paid to the other people. I'm here to tell you that Rick really is my night in shining armor. He said it could possibly take up to a year for the irs to reply. Well after we sent in my documents, it took less than a month to get a resolve! I went from owing $15,000 to $700! You need these good guys on your side. I now have my life back after 10 years of stress and threats from the irs.. Thank you so much for helping me, not ripping me off and actually being genuinely caring. I'll never ever forget this. You deserve everything good in life that comes to you ❤️

Well, I simply called for a consultation. I had been backed up on taxes since Covid. Enter Rick. I called to understand my options and asked questions based on what I had heard. I was met with rhetorical questions like “…why would the IRS reduce your penalties…”, or even this statement of “…I don’t have a magic wand…”. Are you kidding me?! Isn’t the idea of a consultation to ask questions based on one’s situation to be informed? To be provided options? To inquire of my options and get answers in the forms of questions is unnecessary and rude. If I knew the answers to your condescending questions, I wouldn’t need a consultation Rick. Moreover, he easily could’ve just said what I heard was not accurate and he was sorry and couldn’t help me. Not belittle me because I was misinformed or unaware. I’m also confused, so what do you guys do then? I called because of posts like this: “I had been working with different firms to find resolution to my tax issues. In the summer of 2018 I contacted Colonial Tax Consultants, after my initial conversation with the owner, I decided to engage their services. Since that time, I've worked with Nick Pittman, CPA, to resolve all lien issues and have resolved all past taxes, penalty issues to a very reasonable settlement. I highly recommend their services for any of your tax needs.”I have past tax deficits, I have penalty issues, but Rick never stated any options for a settlement. Strangest/worst consultation I’ve ever had.

Had a somewhat complicated tax situation , tried two other places prior , these guys are the BEST they will save you thousands of dollars vs other companies and they skip the fearmongering / I never even had to go into the office ! They did it all online . Very professional, friendly service for literally thousands of dollars less than their competitors. Great experience
