What a wonderful little enclave, quite appropriate for an afternoon day in Denver. Great popcorn and incredibly friendly bartenders. And the main bar is comfortable in a very familiar way.

Wow! First time in the oldest establishment in the country. Listened to the savvy songs of Wil Alston! With the "Legend" herself, Lannie Garrett in attendance!

Somebody called it "a speakeasy for smart people." Take that as you will. One of Denver's last iykyk institutions in a city increasingly colonized by corn hole sports bars

Wow! The Denver Press Club is filled with history. The walls of the building are covered with pictures of great writers and their accomplishments and awards. This place was a hangout for President Eisenhower and many others visited. It's just awesome!

Nice private club for smaller parties. Bar and dining room on main level, poker room downstairs and large area upstairs good for a video presentation.

Attended a social/reception here. All I can say is WOW! Such a perfect venue for our event at this remarkable historic landmark. It's a private club for journalists and beyond and the oldest press club in the country! I was absolutely amazed by the old school charm and the swanky bar on the second floor. Don't forget to take a tour of the basement poker room also. There is history in every corner throughout the building from the typewriters, names of "deadline room", "poet's corner", etc. to all the notable journalists cartoon portraits on the wall. Hope to be back again some day!

Great event location. Staff were accommodating and great with visitors. Parking can be a little dicey, but that's not the venue's fault.

I reached out to organize a cocktail reception for 50 people using the inquiry form on the site. I received a 1 line reply from the Executive Director asking "What is it you are looking for?" - I replied explaining I already filled out the form, what do they need me to clarify... The response received was "You know we are in Denver Colorado?"...This does not seem like a welcoming place ready to host my guests and provide an exceptional experience as I was hoping. I have emailed many places out of state to organize events and this was by far the most unprofessional response I've ever gotten. Needless to say, we'll be hosting our event (and future events) anywhere but here.

Good conversation and great bartenders. Fun activities and interesting event programming. Now with a small menu from Bar Red, the Denver Press Club has it all. Open Wednesday to Friday from 4 to 11, it a great place to pop into for a drink and a nosh. Even better, become a member and support the press in Denver and the Rocky Mountain West.

Truly a piece of Denver history.
