I'm only giving two stars due to the positive that I never had issues with security here. If you rent from here, expect your rate to go up every two months with no notice. They also continued to try to charge me after my move out date even though the unit was cleaned and unlocked. I'll always avoid Extra Space in the future.

Allison and Astro are amazing! Update: My unit was broken into a couple of weeks ago but the staff didn't know since the thieves didn't actually break the glass doors to get in. Allison has been very helpful in the process of filing police reports and working with the police to figure out who the thieves were that broke in.
Thank you all for great customer service and providing a clean location for storage. Out of the 3 years that I've been here, outside of the recent robbery, we've never had any issues with any uncleanliness and any issues are fixed immediately. Bonus points: They have a big parking lot.
Of course there can be a price hike, but in Downtown Denver it is expected. I am sure the city is constantly raising the price of the building's property tax, same with renting an apartment.

I’ve been using Extra Space Storage for work for the past four years and they’ve been absolutely fantastic. The facility is always clean, secure, and easy to access. I really appreciate that I can have packages delivered directly to my unit — it makes my work life so much easier. The manager, Allison, is always super friendly and helpful, and goes above and beyond to make things run smoothly. Highly recommend!

Facility is nice but after 3 months they doubled my rent. Went from $74/month to $158/month with less than 3 weeks notice
Edit: I did call and they did lower it. To $105/month. That’s still a 35% increase after 3 months. At this rate I will be paying a mortgage to you in a couple years. I also want to point out that no value was added to me with this price increase. No additions to building, no extra services, no anything to justify the price hike other than business want so business take. Genuinely shameful business practice. I also want to be extremely clear that all employees I have spoken with have been extremely nice and helpful, it’s just unfortunate that they have to represent a business like this. One star is too many
Another edit: After another 3 months they increased my rent by 80% again. It went from $105/month to $180/month. I called to see e why and they offered to lower it. All the way down to $150/month. A 50% increase. If you like burning money this is the place for you. I've never seen a business operate like this before, insane

I was renting at Public Storage on Fox street and made several complaints about a rodent problem. So in my search I went to the ESS location on Grant Street and Evette and Allison talked me through their policies and showed me the facility. They were very helpful and knowledgeable ! 10/10 service
