Really great place, thanks team.Loved talking about the Big boy train with one of the volunteers, I think his name was Carl. He really knew his stuff, you could point to anything on the engine and he could tell you all about it and then some. It was fascinating how he understood it all on such a scientific level. We will definitely be returning, thanks Forney for keeping these pieces of history alive.

Seriously one of the coolest museums I have been to! The exhibits were very thoughtfully curated and I enjoyed the history and stories told in the concise display descriptions! I also loved that it incorporates Denver history related to transportation. I brought my dad who is a car enthusiast here, but saw so many different generations and families there sharing stories and having a blast.

This museum is so much fun – – there is something here for everyone. There’s an impressive collection of early bicycles that really give you an appreciation for the renovations made in the past 200 years. Yes, there is a bicycle hear from 1817! There was an expansive exhibit of Indian motorcycles that is sure to be a draw for any enthusiast. For me, it was the old cars that really got me revved up. I’ll admit it, seeing Amelia Earhart’s convertible was a real thrill. The big boy steam locomotive was a complete surprise and a real delight. We enjoyed learning about the train from one of the volunteers Carl. He was so knowledgeable and passionate that we couldn’t help but feel excited too. We’re already looking forward to a return visit. There’s too much to take in all at once. Plus the exhibit change every three months. Thanks for a great afternoon!

Not as cheap as it used to be. Admission is $17/adults, $9/children.If one has a backpack or purse, one is given a key, directed to a locker room, in which to lock up your bag. As I walked through the museum, I pondered what one would take, as vehicles are enormous and nothing there would fit into one's personal bag.Staff was friendly, said thanks for supporting the museum. It's nice to see the history of the planes, trains, automobiles, bikes - both motorized and pedal powered, etc...

We visited primarily so our, steam train fan, son could see the "Big Boy" Steam Train, and he was not disappointed. We also got a kick out of the "See the USA in your Chevy" exhibit, in part because we were seeing Denver in our Chevy Volt. At this celebration transit innovations, what I found notably missing was an EV charger for visitors to use while exploring the museum. I badgered the poor ticket clerk, that a Transportation museum should have an EV charger, and even suggested a good location for it. But thought I would say something about it here as well.

Secret (for me at least) Denver gem. Went on free day for the first time and my 9 year-old said it was the best day of his life :)

We didn't bring any kids with us, but we had a great time doing the scavenger hunt that was clearly meant for kids.Lots of cool cars, motorcycles, trains, and a few other random transportation related things to see.

Wow! What a blast from the past. Definitely a lot of fun, we were there for three hours. I took an older friend, who was a train engineer for many years. He loved it. Plus, a lot of the older cars and such reminded him of his youth. Definitely well worth the money, but be sure to allow yourself plenty of time. It has old cars, some train engines, a caboose, and other train stuff. Plus old bicycles and old motorcycles. There’s plenty of other fun things to see.
