Told us over the phone simple things can be done in store same day , then when we came without looking at it they said it will be a month and no repairs are done same day.

Best Buy is going downhill and taking the Geek Squad with it. Money seems to be more important than customer service. Folks who've been around and know what they're doing get laid off (L.S. for example). Their new credit card is difficult to use, etc. I'm beginning to look elsewhere for my shopping and my support. It's a real shame. They used to be my "go-to" spot.

I've been shopping and buying products from this store location for several years. Recently the laptop I purchased from them about a year and a half ago needed to be fixed, so because I purchased the AppleCare for my MacBook, I only needed to pay the fee for Apple. When I brought the laptop in, the geek squad representative that assisted me said it would be $99, however when she entered everything in the system it showed 84.95, she called the manager, another geek squad person, not sure of their title to assist her as to why it wasn't showing the $99, so he told her to move forward, and I'd just pay the $15 difference when I picked my laptop up. So I receive one voicemail from Danny saying AppleCare sent the laptop back to them unrepaired over the $15, I can't make this up, so today I call and get transferred to a call center that's not on site, and the representative clearly didn't know how to handle this situation professionally, I told her I needed to escalate this, and need the Store Manager or Manager over the geek squad, so Best Buy couldn't pay them $15 due to their mistake, now I'm going on 2 weeks without my laptop, this is as absurd and ridiculous as it sounds, this is not how you do business, you can pay to ship it somewhere, but nothing could have been worked out between Geek Squad and AppleCare for $15? Especially since it was the Geek Squad's mistake, they could even just taken the $99 and follow up to see why their system had $84.95, and the extra would have already been a credit on my account, no troubleshooting was done, just well you'll just have to pay the difference when you pick up the laptop, they do this all the time, no one knew AppleCare had such a strict policy? They could have also called AppleCare to see what they should when it showed at $84.95, So now I have to go pay $15, just so it can be shipped out again which for sure is a WASTE of time and money!

I have nothing good to say about the geek squad in highland Indiana I took my computer in to be repaired It was not even a year old The mouse arrow was moving all over the place by itself in the facial ID quit working they couldn't fix it after having it a week said they had to ship it to corporate geek squad somewhere however something happened along the way they lost my computer when I went online and said it was repaired and shipped out then it said it was picked up they wind up giving me money to replace the computer but in this time since my computer seems to be lost our counts have been hacked they were supposed to clean the computer before sending it out which they couldn't have done somehow someone has my computer in our passwords and the store manager is so nasty and not understanding how this can cause serious losses in fraud on your account.Everything is so automative now You can't even get to talk to a person in corporate office .Somehow someone in Mexico has been trying to get into my Microsoft and canceled one of us from Microsoft and added themselves be careful with the geek squad.

Parker Co geek squad is more like incompetent/corrupt squad. I go to them with as it turned out a simple issue with a recent microsoft 365 office forced update on my laptop. I was getting an error message when trying to open office applications...excel, word, etc. The geek looked at it and said I needed a new laptop. And he even tried to sell me a 1 year warranty for $150 that I had to buy before I buy a new laptop from Best Buy. I said What! I declined, went home, did some research and reloaded office 365 which resolved the issue. I'll never walk into a Best Buy again or seek out an incompetent geek. Like almost all big box stores, Best Buy will soon be extinct. And the geeks, well they're not just geeks but also incompetent. JB

Geek squad used to be great, helpful. We are in Longmont. The guy who was Wonderful no longer works at our Best Buy. We pay a lot of $$ each year for this "service." The last 3 times we went in, the rep' was polite but bascially said, "Can't help you." Can't work on laptop. Can't look at iphone. Apple products. Go to Mac Repair. Most recently, rep' said we need a Squad member in-home. Can't turn audio description off Max. Only Max. It's not on Any other movie/series platform. I was able to turn it off Forever from all our other platforms--PBS, CBS, Amazon, Paramount etc. Just Max has that Annoying "electricty crackles as the letters HBO appear. Man walks into bar." etc.Called 888 number. On hold for 40 min. Person talked way too fast, asked 100 questions not necessary. Asked for name 3 times etc. etc. Then said "you are scheduled. You will get an email for confirmation."Husband works 2:00-11:00 pm.NIGHTS. He told the phone rep' this. He said "we do NOT want anyone here before 11:00 am."So we were scheduled for "between 7 am & 7 pm" 10 days from the day he scheduled the appt.Cancelled. Husband has heart issues. Needs his sleep. We are not going to get up at 6:30 to wait & wait & wait (have read the YELP complaints, obviously this is a big issue--techs not showing up!!!)We'll cancel our MAX/HBO subscription instead.

July 2023 - I went to Geek Squad today with a new laptop -and- new memory to be installed. "Fine, we'll do it, no charge. (I have Totaltech). "The technician" is starting to take the laptop, charger, and memory from me and says "It'll be back in 2 to 3 working days." Stop. I said - I was told you would do this while I wait. Twenty minutes or so. "No sir, we don't work on any computers here - we send them to our tech center and they do the work." Not even to just install 2 memory DIMMs? "No sir." This is NOT "TotalTech" this is bogus. I shouldn't have to be without my computer for 3 plus days just to install some memory. This is a 5 minute job. TotalTech needs to rethink. I get it that some jobs need a qualified technician. But changing memory? Checking to see if the battery is bad?and other stuff like that should not require shipping and return. - Jim in Burlington, Wa.

I guess Geek squad employees if they don't want to help you is ok just to disconnect the call I was going thru a dishwasher exchange from HE double hockey sticks and was promised a gift card. Over a month later I have not received it. I have called many times and keep on getting hung up on. I am about ready to cancel my longstanding membership.

3/27/2023. 1:30 PM; Had an appointment with Geek Squad for help with my three devices, an HP laptop, Samsung Note 20 -5g and a Samsung tablet. Presented Tech person with a list. 1. Install virus protection app which syncs on all three devices), 2. Copy all passwords in McAfee True Key into Google Password Manager (also make it so Google passwords syncs onto all three devices), Erase McAfee and True Key. 3. Install Google One back and get all three devices to backing up then uninstall I Drive.Tech then told me that to do all this I would need to buy a service contract for $199.00 but then with that a $69.00 Web Root program would be reduced to $29.99 from $69.00. Total bill $225.92.At first Tech continued to wait on customers coming to the counter while I sat at an adjoining table with my 3 devices. I finally told her that if she wasn't going to work on my stuff then to give me a refund (Oops. can't issue refunds). she agreed to work on mine and ignore the people coming to the counter (she was alone although there appeared to be people in the back area.Long story short, of my list I have Web Root installed, Goggle One is backing up only Google files on the phone and the tablet, nothing on the laptop. password manager was not synced nor were passwords transferred, McAfee was still installed with all my passwords and when I attempted to transfer passwords to Google by myself I lost them all. I Drive was still active. In other words I basically paid $200 to have someone install Web Root.Buyer beware, the Geek Squad of old ain't no more. You are far better off going to one of the many independent repair places.

WOW - we've all encountered incompetence, but these clowns take it to a whole new level! RUN! Don't walk away!Took almost an hour to set an appointment at the SW Denver Best Buy Geek Squad. Provided the telephone representatives with the EXACT model number of the 400 CD player requiring repair. She confirmed twice, "YES, we will repair this item". Received a confirmation of the appointment. After standing in line, encountered a rep. I believe the quote was, Oh god no, they won't work on this, they'll send it back".Who do I send the bill to for my time, mileage etc?CLOWNS! Run from this circus!!

Only the Geek Squad in the Northglenn shop, the one on Mexico Boulevard returned my computer in worse condition twice, so I don't recommend that one.

I have 24/7 coverage. I phoned Geek Squad on a Friday at 5 p.m. Two technician's later, approximately at 8:20 p.m., no resolution to a Webcam that had stopped functioning after what appears to have been a consequence of a Microsoft update. The worst part was that the second technician simply dropped - completely MIA - without letting me know that he had been unsuccessful ... or even offering guidance as to possible next steps. Around 9 p.m., I called back and requested to speak to a supervisor. Some guy named "Leo" apologized profusely and said the poor service never should have happened and assured me that he would have someone contact me at 5 p.m. on Saturday to resolve. I canceled two appointments and waited the following day ... for a call that never came. Evidently, this poor service was now being compounded. On Monday, after giving myself time to cool off, I called back and spoke to yet another supervisor - since the first was "not identifiable, due to their being a global call center ". I explained everything that happened. Including that the first supervisor offered to have a technician come out and address my issue, even though I never actually received a follow up call. At this point, the next supervisor apologized and said that, for $49.99, they would have someone come out. She claimed that there was no protocol in place for waiving that fee, despite the incompetence and disruption associated with Geek Squad's technician, and the fact that I had been misled by the first supervisor. Obviously, they have no concern about negative press. And here we are.
