Error in filing 2023, amended return was required due to preparer error. Tax refund from 2023 still not received. Horrible customer service. They promised to make it right with no cost filing this year, then charged me $80 since the credit didn't cover everything. Take your business elsewhere.

I get my taxes done every year with Benjamin Lager. Typically he’s great, but this year he really hurt my feelings and was extremely offensive. I had to take short term disability last year, and he saw that on my taxes of course. When he saw that he stated, “hope it wasn’t mental” and then proceeded to laugh like it was some kind of joke. I laughed it off at the time because the guy was doing my taxes, but afterward I went home and cried because it was for mental reasons and he has no idea what I went through. Then he proceeded to tell me that at the Denver airport he gets in the disabled line because it goes quicker and claims it’s due to mental illness when they ask him what his disability is, and then asked me if that makes him a terrible person. For the record, yes it does make you a terrible person. I’ll be seeing a different tax agent next year. I hope Benjamin Lager learns from this, and never laughs at someone else’s worst moment in their life again, I just wanted my taxes done.

Stay away from this place.
I've had my worst rip off experience at this place. I was charged for more than $600 to file a tax when I usually only have to pay around $300 for filing tax.
The tax accountant who took care of me, upfront he told me that the filing fee will be around $600. Of course, I've disagreed. Then he suggested to proceed saying the actual price can be lower. However, it ended up being a $660.
I felt I was misled which I think is an illegal or unethical business act.
Few days later, I've talked to a lady from H&R blocks regarding the survey I took after my experience with them. It was about why I gave them a bad feedback. Well, I didn't understand why they thought I wouldn't not. It was an overcharging against my agreement and possibly a misleading.
However, the lady told me that the cost was clearly presented upfront. The accountant was transparent and I agreed to it, which is a false interpretation. I never did agree to the over $600 filing fee. And the accountant was not clear or transparent. Rather,
he made it unclear and vague.
I wish I knew this unethical company is in a class action lawsuit, and also about to be investigated for its unethical or deceptive behaviors like they did to me. I'm definitely going report this shady behavior to a certain department of city, state, government, or organization etc...
With all those problems, I do not know how they have a such a high rating.

The older woman with gray hair I had to deal with was so unprofessional and unpleasant right from the start. She forgot to submit my CO taxes - which I received a letter stating this from the state. I had to travel back to the offices, show her the letter - she smiled at it and then submitted it without any apology for her mistake. Then to add to her unprofessionalism she used my address to advertise her personal hobby. I had to let her go.

H&R Block is just amazing at doing taxes.They're really professional, make sure everything's correct, and get things done quickly.They'll go through your taxes carefully, making sure you get all the money you should.Even when they're busy, they still work fast and get things done right.If you need help with taxes, H&R Block is the best place to go.

Not really happy with the online service. From the get go it wouldn't allow me to view which documents were needed for my office appointment.Which btw, online I scheduled to drop off my papers - meaning I had a person sitting in my car waiting for me for the thirty minutes it took the man to actually DO my taxes in front of me. Exactly the opposite of what I scheduled .... Also online. Second reason I'm not happy with the online service.Third which isn't as major but still annoying: online it states $85 refund assistance. Which is EXTREMELY misleading because what they mean is that's the START of the service - it actually costs double that. It's okay to pay because I do appreciate someone else doing the service for me, however very misleading online and again, super irritating!!Honestly I am way late in doing taxes this year and it's my own fault - next year lesson learned, will not be going to H&R Block.
