Very disappointed with Mike High Propane. There are better options in Canon City. Service in the office is not customer friendly. We had a propane leak at some point and weren’t living there full time and no one said a word about the massive increase or strong smell of propane. They just kept filling it and sending a huge invoice. The tank is also old and unpainted. Last month we paid our bill by phone and it didn’t clear my account. I called back after I noticed it hadn’t cleared and they charged a $20 finance fee and wouldn’t budge on it. I’m thoroughly unimpressed and will make other arrangements. I let our realtor know of our challenges and suggested she not recommend them. I will definitely warn others of our experience. Glad they got their $20 buck finance charge out of this. It was the final straw for me. Grinches.

Did business with Mile High and enjoyed talking with Edith, she would get things done. About May 2023 the wheels fell off, must be a new owner, charged me $87 for a restocking fee because they never used my prepaid propane, I moved to a competitor and turns out they're not much better, San Isabel propane both deserve a 1 from the middle of my hand.... learn how to do business

I’ve lived in the same house on the same address for 12 years and every month they can never get to my house (3 hours late) I also tell them to fill the tank and I get 80% someone either doesn’t know how to read or write. Then to make me really angry they left both of my gates wide-open for my dogs to get out and the horses so now I guess I’m gonna chase them around I do not recommend a mile high propane! There are tons more unsatisfied customers!Facebook and we are reporting this company to the state!

Ever since Mile High Propane company took over Affordable Fuels and Edison Propane it has been a complete nightmare!!! Prices instantly went up (higher than any of the competitor propane companies in the area), they started charging 2 surcharges without any notifications to their customers. I have been loyal customer for 1.5 years with zero late payments, since the merger I am now forced to pay upfront/COD because Im a renter, again this change happened with no notification. They demand payment upfront but cant tell customer when to expect delivery, just they "will add customer to the route." Unfortunately, I do not have option to switch to a different company or I would have months ago!!On a positive note, Becky in office is the only person that is nice and actually decent to paying customers. Otherwise customer service is horrific.

Evil CompanyCalled to get propane, said they would deliver Friday, they never showed up. Then they said it would be Monday, still never showed up. Almost two weeks later and Now the weather is freezing. Called yesterday they never returned our call. They won’t let any other company fill the tank. I’m running out of Propane and it’s two days before Christmas and we have two little children. I called the office manager Chris, she said that per policy she had two weeks to deliver and be glad she isn’t charging us a $250 delivery fee. Chris said since we got mad and upset with her she would bump it out and not fill the tank today either. She hung up on us and said the owner said they don’t have to listen to upset customers. This is plain evil. This is a liability, I have no contract with them and they won’t get us propane. The tank was here when we purchased the house. This new company just took over, we have nothing in writing with them nor do we know their policies. They were sure to charge the lease fee but still have not delivered propane. Now it says they wont be open for 4 more days. This company is trash

Went during their business hours, no one there. Gate locked. How do they expect to do any business if there's no one there???

I signed up with Affordable Fuels then they sold out to Mile High Propane. Ever since, it's been nothing but rising prices and illegal business practices, such as claiming the tank lease agreement I signed with Affordable is still valid. If that were true, then why am I being charged DOUBLE for the tank lease this year? The tank lease I signed says $75, not $150. I have no tank lease agreement with Mile High. Also, Affordable's tank lease agreement has no language regarding a tank pickup fee or restocking fee like Lisa, the office manager, was trying to foist on me. Beware this unethical and morally bankrupt company. Research them on the local Facebook groups - many people have had similar experiences with them. I switched to a new company yesterday, July 13, 2022, who isn't even charging me a tank lease fee for the remainder of 2022 and $120 starting in January 2023. Global Propane was SO much better to work with, have at least 20 cents a gallon lower prices, and they don't price gouge in the winter like Mile High does. I have emails into Mile High telling them to pickup their empty tank and any charges billed to me will be handled by my lawyer. Don't let this horrible, corrupt company illegally charge you anything you didn't agree to!

Thank you to Chip at the Canon City office. I am with Kinderkirk School Age Program (daycare) in Pueblo, we had a tire blow on HWY 50. We were blessed to have Chip come and help us change our tire so we could take our kiddos up to see the Dinosaurs. Thank you Chip, so much for saving our day. We truly appreciate you going the extra mile to help us.

I have been using Mile High Propane for my business for over a year now. When I met with the owner and manager I explained my situation and asked what we could do to improve it and make things easier for my tenants and myself. We devised a solution and came to an agreement. While things proceeded we did have a few small issues but I can assure you that nothing was left unresolved or disregarded. Their service tech is very prompt and knowledgeable. The office staff is supportive and attentive. The manager and owner are both readily accessible to me if there is any issue or request. I try to understand the situation and think about how I deal with entitled people. I know I would not want to answer the phone all day with demanding, entitled customers who are trying to save a few dollars as the price of propane skyrockets nationally. I do not believe that these ladies or this company regulates the price of propane which they have to purchase and resell to the customer.I often wonder what happened to personal responsibility and respect? My tenants have not run empty in 2 winters due to Mile High. They keep the tanks topped off and if a cold streak is forecast they make sure to inquire about our needs. I really cannot say enough good things about this company, and no I do not have a stake in it. I am just a very grateful customer who appreciates good quality service. If I need a friend or therapist this is not under "Propane". Please keep up the great service and my tanks filled.

Mile High is by far the absolute worst propane company (and there are some pretty terrible ones out there) I've ever had the displeasure of doing business with. We told Shay from the beginning that we didn't want random deliveries and that we would call. We wanted to know when they were going to be on our property and what we were paying per gallon. They still showed up randomly and topped off our tank. They even left our front door open once when they left the invoice! Customer service isn't even practiced at all let alone a priority. Shay and Rochelle are unbelievably rude and definitely should not hold customer service positions. I was misled by Shay from the beginning about having a 2nd 500 gallon tank. We were so happy about being allowed a 2nd tank to try to save on propane costs. We were upfront about that from the time we requested the 2nd tank and I even informed Shay that we were hopping to only have to fill up once a year. It was no problem. They came and installed the tank. We were billed for the installation and 1 year lease of the tank. Great. Untill we realized the tank was leaking. It took a couple service trips out and a couple credits back for the propane that was leaked. Then the tech tells us the tank is no good and he's gonna swap it for another. Okay whatever. Well come to find out the company has no intention of swapping the tanks. They decided they're just gonna come get the faulty tank and that we don't use enough propane for 2 tanks anyway. I'm then informed by the owner of the company, Lewis, that we should have been told about the minimum usage requirements beforehand and that he doesn't know why I wasn't told. I expressed to him my concern over the cost of the second tank and he agreed it should not have to be paid. Now I'm being told I have to pay for part of it even though it was their mistake. Every time I try to contact the owner they give me the run around. I honestly don't know what to do at this point. I'm beyond frustrated. I don't feel like I should have to pay for their mistakes just so I can be rid of them! Eveyone do yourselves a favor and save yourself the headache and wasted time and energy. Do not use Mile High Propane!!

From the start these guys were great. I’m originally from down south and I will say everyone up here are amazingly nice (except when driving on the road) lol. But MHP reminded me of home and the southern hospitality that came with it. Absolutely nothing hard about these guys. They work to make sure your experience is effortless. From creating an account to setting the tank, effortless. Bill pay, effortless. This is the way a business should be run and I wanted to say “thank you Mile High Propane”!
