My husband purchased an expensive necklace for our anniversary and after 30 days the inlay fell out. It was repaired but I was told it was something I had done wrong. This is not great customer service. I suggested this will happen again and was told the next repair would be my responsibility. I asked if I could exchange for something else and was told it was past the exchange date. We have purchased many items from Shane Co and never had any issues in over 30 years and all of their jewelry has a lifetime warranty. I would highly recommend not purchasing from this store

Gottah support the Hawai'i kine jewelry it's a whole different kinda style, than the ordinary. To be out of the ordinary makes it unique and rare. ??Mahalo nui Na Hoku

TL; DR Repeat customer who will never shop here again based on horrible customer service. Seems to be a theme in their 1 star reviews. Wouldn't let me return something despite it never having been worn/taken out of the box (which they knew because it had been shipped to the store and they were handing it over) and treated me with a complete lack of kindness or respect in the process. We honeymooned in Maui and celebrated our anniversary in Kauai. Each time, my husband bought me a piece of jewelry at Na Hoku (on each respective island). He bought me a piece here for our most recent anniversary, and while thoughtful, it was not my taste. We looked around the store together and didn't see anything that stood out, so we exchanged the necklace for something that is only sold online. I went to pick it up, having decided that we'd rather not pay over $1000 for something that, while nice, I didn't love. Though the necklace had just arrived and hadn't been taken out of the box, the salesperson refused to let me return it and shared several "reasons" as to why I could not. First, she tried to say it was a special order/custom piece, then she told me I needed the original paperwork and then she told me that we were beyond the return window. As if being forced to keep something expensive that I didn't want wasn't enough, I was treated to a condescending mini lecture about how I can't keep changing my mind because that is not okay. Mind you, neither piece has ever been even taken out of the box and could have been returned had the salesperson wanted to (we were not past 21 days of having placed the online order after making the initial return). I'm not an unreasonable person and would have happily been willing to pay for the shipping or a restocking fee, etc. for the inconvenience caused to the store had I been asked instead of lectured and told no in all the ways the salesperson could think to, valid or not. Will never shop here again (in Denver or in Hawaii), because I value a shopping experience where I am treated with respect and where the vendor wants the customer to be happy with their purchase. This is really too bad because this experience completely tarnished my otherwise very positive memories of Na Hoku.

The first time I went to the store was amazing. The customer service was great. My ring turned out great. However, fast forward four years customer service was horrible. I went in to have my rings, cleaned, and another ring added to my current ring. When I came back to pick it up man that was helping me with very rude, demanding and not helpful. I was trying to figure out if I liked it on my finger and if they set my stones correctly. It was like I was taking up too much of his time which really was only maybe five minutes He did not like that. He repeated I want to say about 10 times. well that’s how it turned out and that’s how it’s going to be send it back if you don’t like it send it back if you don’t like it send it back if you don’t like it very very rude. Needless to say, I ended up taking the ring to another jeweler to have it fixed. I will never go back

This company is hands down the best. My wife's 1st Mother's Day gift got broken when our child got a hold of her necklace and gave it a tug. The staff took one look and said they could have that fixed in-house in a matter of minutes. Not only did they get us one the way but took her wedding rings to the back and got them shining like new! All this was done without any new purchase pressure and the little one exploring the store.

Me and my woman are both happy brides to be and enjoyed our experience with Na Hoku. This was a learning experience. It did take a handful of trips. Paulette is a truly talented saleswoman with a good intuition and she is personally invested in the customer. The Wave collection offered us something timeless, secure, and sentimental. Also had good experiences with Kay. Thanks so much. Would return for bands and other pretty things.
