Cancelled my insurance after 2 months without notifying me. Tried telling me it was because I didn't set up auto renewal, when I did on the first day.I have Statefarm for another vehicle with a different agent and had zero problems. This guy probably messed up paperwork on his end, and would not own up to it. I found insurance for this car with Geico for half the cost.Statefarm not only tried to overcharge me, but this agent couldn't even get the paperwork right, or notify me of cancellation. A simple call would of been fine, but the agent could not be bothered to let me know.

Rick is incredibly unprofessional. I am a first time insurance carrier for auto insurance, and so I have a lot of questions to make sure I am doing everything correctly. He is constantly ignoring my questions, so after asking again, he gives one word answers that typically make no sense. He has shoved me off more times than once and I am always having to get his attention. After having a family member talk to him, I was told he called me "noisy". You would hope that someone who is supposed to have your best interest when it comes to safety, would not talk poorly of you to someone they don't even know, and you would hope working with a first time insurance carrier that he would be more understanding and willing to help with any confusion. Instead, he has showed carelessness, caused more confusion, and is downright rude. Please go to any other agent in Aurora, Rick will NOT help you. I am so surprised that State Farm has kept him around for as long as he has been. I hope my "noise" is loud enough for anyone reading to not go see this agent.

I have worked 25 years in the insurance industry myself as an agent and this man is the most unprofessional person I have ever had the misfortune of coming across. His behavior is incredibly childish and adversarial. Would not lift a finger and insulted my daughter who is his policyholder. Not only does he refuse to give service, he wrote incredibly insufficient coverage for my daughter. Would not provide a declaration for us as well and he blamed the COVID pandemic for State Farm not providing the paperwork. This man should be terminated by StateFarm.

In our team's dealings with Rick, he lacked professionalism, was not willing to help a mutual customer, and nearly caused a delay on the customers mortgage refinance. The customer and I had to contact State Farm directly, and after 45 minutes, we accomplished what Rick said he could not accomplish. Rick berated my team member who was simply following up on a request for insurance that we had made numerous times with little to no help.If you need insurance in Colorado, I would advise going through another agent or company.

Rick Simmons is a very unprofessional and inconsistent State Farm agent. I’ve had State Farm for many, many, years and never have I had to deal with such unacceptable and irresponsible behaviors as my husband and I have had to from Rick Simmons the past numerous weeks. He is never in the office and doesn’t return phone calls. He actually shredded our check today from a serious motorcycle accident my husband was involved in which we are entitled to and have waited many weeks for. Who he thinks he is, is beyond me. Rick lacks professionalism, customer service skills and he is not reliable nor dependable.I am shocked that State Farm as an agent still working for them that lacks all of these character traits and more.Thank you for allowing me to share.

I regret that I have to give even 1 star. There should be some sort of a negative scale. The office is not open at the times the sign says. This is the MOST unhelpful insurance agent I have ever dealt with in my 60 years. I recommend dealing with anyone else. Period. If you do business with Mr. Simmons, you WILL BE disappointed at some point.
