Subject: Poor Service and Unresolved Issues – Would Not Recommend
Although my furniture was delivered without damage, I had a very disappointing experience with this company. I was charged a $400 shuttle fee, which I now believe was a SCAM, as I never actually required shuttle service. I would NOT recommend this company to anyone, unless you are absolutely certain that you will need shuttle service.
I've been waiting for over a month for a resolution, calling bi weekly, only to be told, "We'll look into it," with no follow-up or return calls.
Additionally, our sales agent, Barry, stopped responding to any of my inquiries once we had paid in full.
Lastly, the office address listed on Google is not valid, adding to the confusion and frustration.
I strongly advise against using this company—do not waste your time or money.
My Reply to the owners response below:
owner - Your response and lack of empathy only reinforce my desire to encourage others to look elsewhere for moving services. To the general public and tax paying citizens, please consider this as an example of the kind of service you can expect from Rocky Movers, especially when the executive decisions (pertaining to refunds) are left in the hands of the "Owner."
I’m curious to know what investigation your operations team conducted, particularly in light of my last conversation with Danielle, where she confirmed my refund was being processed. She had contacted the drivers, who confirmed that NO shuttle was required. If we had been able to reach an agent during the delivery, this whole issue could have potentially been avoided.
A partial refund for the steady communication breakdown and the inconvenience—like being directed to the wrong address listed on Google—would have been a fair resolution. Instead, I received nothing but a false and inaccurate explanation. This situation is incredibly frustrating, and I’m deeply disappointed with how it’s been handled.
Please note that I am only seeking what I feel is right and deserved, and it’s unfortunate to see that doesn’t align with your business model.
What a way to start the holiday season! This definitely was a "Rocky" Move.

Moved from Albuquerque to Jacksonville
Horrible experience.
Price was double the quote so it felt like a bait and switch
The movers started yelling and fighting in my home
The helpers were running to their cars maybe doing drugs
I had to drive the movers to go get more packing supplies
The car movers were very late which caused conflicts with the new home owners
Lots of broken stuff including our Amish bedframe, picture frame glass, and lamps
I'm still looking to see what may be missing or broken.
Very disappointing and I do not recommend

If I could rate them zero stars I would! They break a lot of items and ghost you! Run if you can this was by far the worst move I’ve ever experienced and I have moved a lot due to the military! Please do not use them! They broke the glass shelves in my entertainment system because they did not know how to remove them. They broke a brand new headboard for a bedroom set. From start to finish they are horrible. They get you on the contract and are nice but after that they are rude and ignore you when you try to set up delivery! They should not be in business!

I went with this company over a larger one thinking i’d have much better service and wouldn’t run into the problems that others have had with larger companies. I ran into every single problem that I thought I was avoiding. First of all, everyone communicates well until you sign the quote. Once you’re locked in, communication fades. Moving day came and my stuff was picked up. I started to question whether my move was being contracted out to another company immediately but realized- what am I supposed to do? I have to be out of here in a few days regardless and I was moving across country. I had to pay more (I did have some more than I had on the inventory so that’s fine) but I also had to pay for a smaller truck to my new location since the streets are tighter- wish I knew about this beforehand. Next thing, my stuff is hauled away as movers do. Luckily, I air tagged one of my boxes so upon checking it, i noticed it was just sitting in storage for a week and a half. I had very specific dates that the owner said would absolutely be accommodated “no problem!”. So why was my stuff sitting in storage a week and a half after being picked up and 5 days before the date I needed it by? I call the company, they say I didn’t have a “first available” date so it’s been sitting in storage. Well, yeah, I did. I have it on all the forms I filled upon starting this process. And I had a timeframe that I actually had to cancel a trip for because of this mess. This is when I realized my stuff probably wasn’t even with Rocky Movers anymore. There’s even a “rocky movers” sticker over another company’s name on the forms I filled out at my house upon pickup. So i assume they contracted my stuff out to another company. Finally, my stuff is on the road. After a really unfortunate experience and watching my air tagged boxes move around the US in a manner that made absolutely no sense to me, and getting the “oh the truck broke down” (if you google this, it’s a classic moving company scam to allow them to take longer and probably add more deliveries) i finally received my belongings at 9 PM. Not only did I receive them weeks late and in the late evening, some of my boxes were completely broken and plastic tubs were horribly smashed. I don’t even know if all my things are here. They also started unloading someone else’s belongings in my house and I ended up with a box that doesn’t belong to me, too. The worst part of this experience- when I reached out about the dates being completely wrong and missing the trip that the owner knew I had, I didn’t even get an apology. Should’ve been compensated but I didn’t even get a simple “sorry” from anyone. Complete lack of ownership on their part. So yeah, all in all, cannot recommend….. at all.

I had a great moving experience with them. The quote they gave was pretty accurate, the only thing we paid on top of the quote was the fee the distance to our door being over 75 feet. For the most part, great experience. They are transparent, helpful, and responsive. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars was because we were supposed to get a call to confirm the date of drop off in advance. We didn't get that call until a few minutes before they came. We ended up being home so it wasn't a problem, but they would have had to redeliver if we weren't home. Other than that, great experience.

Awful experience from the start. They’re Folksy enough which might go over well with a certain type of demographic but it’s 2024, we have to offer more
The “inventory list” is an online form that looks like it was developed in the 90s and never updated. Webmaster anyone? Lol
It was buggy, unintuitive and even had double-click action requirement. Yes, on a website
They will spam you if you don’t get the list in ASAP cuz they “want your business” but with the way the site is setup, I’m surprised anyone does it.
Honestly, old school businesses like this have a small boomer demographic who does the inventory on the phone with them, in true hand-holding-needed fashion.
I got a quote from another company like this and they wanted $560 for a five minute distance move down the street and $700 for a move from DTC to Longmont
I used DOLLY and they did it for less than $500… to longmont. The APP (not website) was intuitive, fast, responsive, and the movers were mensch.
Let’s let these small (old) businesses die already, use the technologically advanced and economically aware companies to source actual help, instead. Eventually it’ll pave the way for AI-Everything and we can all just lounge around and laugh at how wild things used to be.

Absolutely outstanding service from Rocky Movers! From the get-go, Barry provided us with an incredibly accurate in-home estimate, ensuring there were no surprises on moving day. The packing service was a lifesaver, too. Tomas and Pablo were meticulous and handled our belongings with such care, it was as if they were their own. We especially appreciated how they helped my parents with their move from Denver to Plano. Every item arrived in perfect condition, making the transition as smooth as possible. Marcio’s customer service was second to none; he kept us informed every step of the way and went above and beyond to accommodate our needs. It’s rare to see a team that works so well together, ensuring every aspect of the move is covered. I’m truly impressed by their professionalism and the personal touch they bring to the job. If you’re looking for a long distance moving company in Denver, these are the guys to call. Five stars all the way!

Top tier crew. Careful, efficient work. You can tell they take pride in what they do. Lenny, Joe, Eileen, and, I'm guessing, everyone else in the office, are also great. They understand how stressful things can be for us instead of treating things like just another order number. I've moved 7 times in the past 15 years, and this is easily a contender for the top spot. No matter how much I learn when I move, there's always some new quirk, some new hazard that I wasn't aware of, so my guard is up out of instinct at this point. I hoped I was in good hands, but, you never know. As soon as the packers started, I was worry-free. We had a snag at the delivery. My antique armoire which I recently inherited couldn't make it through the front door. I acknowledged that this was obviously my problem, but they went out of their way to connect me to a hoisting company to bring it in through the 3rd story window. They even drove it to a mini-storage room I rented a few miles away for free. They didn't have to do that. I am more than satisfied. I absolutely recommend these guys.

If you are looking for a reliable moving company this is definitely not it. Of course when you call and set everything up they make you feel comfortable and trustworthy. Once you give them payment they pretty lose contact and leave it up to the subcontractor drivers/movers they hire. Your property is no longer in there hands. The subcontractors they hired were rude and unprofessional. They didn’t go by anything in the contract they said our contract is not with them. Very unprofessional and upsetting to have to deal with. Horrible communication. On top of that he tried to keep my property until the following day and charge me a $1000 extra. They did not move my property in like I was told there semi driver had more than enough room in a two lane street to deliver my property but chose not to and leave our property on the street. Neighbors helped us as they seen all of our stuff in the street. They wouldn’t let us count our boxes or view our stuff for damages. With that being said we were missing a couple boxes and some other things as well as they gave us someone else’s property. Our first time using a moving company. Our last time. I’d rather drive across country than put my trust into this company. Horrible experience for my family. What really sucks is that we are missing stuff that has been in our family for years. I hope who ever is reading this finds this review helpful. With the money you spend moving you shouldn’t have to worry about your property being lost or stolen.

Everything started out great with my Denver to Cincinnati move with Rocky Movers. Barry, my original rep, was great, the movers taking apart my furniture in Denver and loading it were fantastic. Even with paperwork, they were in and out within 2 hours for our 1900 sq ft house. Things went south with the delivery. Apparently the truck driver didn’t like where my new home is because the road is slightly busy and cars would have to go around the parked moving truck in order to drive down the road. He told me my husband and I would have to do a shuttle service where the driver parks his semi at a different location, then loads our possessions onto a smaller truck off the semi, then the smaller truck is driven to my house, then my husband and I have to unload the smaller truck ourselves-oh, and it would be an extra $900 on top of the $4,380 we were already paying. I tried to call the moving company that afternoon and never got an answer on how the issue was going to be resolved until the next afternoon while our stuff was being held hostage. The driver eventually offloaded his truck in front of our house with constant arguing with me about it. When he arrived, he sat in his truck for an hour doing nothing and another person didn’t come to help him for nearly another hour. My buffet table and a bookshelf were broken in the process. I tried to follow-up with management about the truck issue, but she never emailed me back. Isn’t this a professional moving company that has experience offloading trucks in various residential neighborhoods? If I wanted the headache, we would have made the cross-country move without the help.

I used Rocky movers service during my move from Colorado to Michigan. Firstly, when picking up my Stuff in Colorado, the team was on time and quick to pack and load my stuff. Everything was properly packed. It took them 10 days to hand my stuff in Michigan. They promised they would move my things to michigan in 10-14 days and they were on time. None of my items were damaged or missing. Again the team in michigan were good and professional. I would highly recommend Rocky movers to anyone who is looking to move.

I didn't get charged more than the quote, I didn't have a single problem getting my items and it was all heavy stuff, breakable and a pain. This was a long distance move and was going to do it myself. It would have cost me more and I didn't have to drive.. feel free to message me and will happily chat with you..

Dropped this review another star due to the response. Apparently this has happened to others, because I've never been to Grand Junction, nor did I move in the winter time. I moved before any cold weather, and moved East to the Midwest. Either this company does not know one customer from the other, or they are dishonest. While the front end was handled mostly well (before money changed hands), the back end was awful. Our sales rep mentioned the movers being their own guys which made us feel more comfortable. They were not their guys.In reality the 53’ trailer showed up without equipment to move our belongings. No dolly, no four wheel carts and no protection for the flooring in our new home.Additionally, the movers were hired off craigslist and argued with each other most of the day. After some time was wasted going to Home Depot to get moving equipment, the movers who were hired off of craigslist struggled all day. I needed to jump in several times. One of the movers was arguing with a girlfriend in front of our house while trying to get her to wait for him (she eventually left him there and angrily drove off ). This guy also pointed out how easy it would be to break into a shed on our property. Also, three movers left before the job was done. These three seemed like good guys but very inexperienced. We have had a hard time finding all the hardware to reassemble all the things that were taken apart from the move. Many things were not reassembled. There was light damage on a few things but nothing terrible. The good: sales guy was very responsive (until he got the signature and deposit). The truck drivers/leads who were Rocky Mover employees did well on both ends. They did get our things to us quickly after closing but seemed more like convenience than customer service.I’m not sure if all these things are common but the move was stressful, questions were not easy to get answered during some stages, and the movers were very scattered. As noted above regarding their response. They either have me confused with another customer, or are being outright dishonest.
