My entire experience was awful. They lie to get your business telling you they don’t contract out. My items were moved at least five different times before they got to me. Subcontracted to a terrible company for my delivery as well. I was given misinformation about how to submit a claim and was screwed out of any compensation for all of the damage to my items. I am absolutely disgusted.

We were moved last days of May. Thieves missing a lot of items and damaged. They didn’t unpack because we were not able to at the moment. Missing personal items. It’s a long story didn’t report because I knew they wouldn’t do anything. Because when I called he was rude. There was only 3 people and we helped to get it unloaded. Was wanting to charge another $2000.00 if it was unloaded that day. Missing many, many, personal property and collectible items. Nothing was not labeled. The saddest part is that I paid them to steal.

BEWARE!!! I really have no idea where to start. I have done several moves due to a travel job. This company was by far the worst moving company I’ve ever dealt with. They lied from the beginning regarding things in my quote etc, and you will never be able to get ahold of the original person you spoke with. You can only deal with the customer service team after, and they are rude and unprofessional. And take “no responsibility” for what the sales team committed to. I opted in for the packing service, they smashed things into boxes without protecting items. Very late delivery of my items and I paid an extra fee for a guaranteed delivery date. I’m still waiting for a credit for that fee but no one responds. They have you pay a deposit up front, I paid $1300, but at the end they wouldn’t deduct the deposit!! I had to fight tooth and nail to get them to deduct the deposit. They also don’t allow credit card payments, which is fine but I’m now being harassed by the delivery guy saying I sent the money to the wrong Zelle account. But I sent it to the number he said and had him confirm it. And he has my cell and won’t stop reaching out. Very sketchy company. Please save yourself what I’ve gone through and use someone else! There are so many other better ones!!

Not good at all. The first contact sales pitch was awesome, all down hill after that. Late for pickup, WAY Late for drop off as in weeks. Always having to call myself for updates. Stuff finally arrives and we are talking major damages. Broken monitors, printers, VERY expensive BBQ island, fire pit broken. Nice Ebikes scratched, bed dented. Promised to put furniture together and the guys said oh we don't have any tools sorry. All this great service for $7K!!!! Run from this company. I have have insurance claims initiated, not holding my breathe.

All the other negative reviews are accurate. This company purposely underquotes you then once all you stuff is on the truck they raise the rate - we were quoted about $7,000 for our moved and once all of our stuff was on the truck they told us it would be over $11,000. We were extremely thorough when detailing all items for our move but they still said it was more than they thought. We counted every box - every lamp - every item. Then they lost our hardware to assemble furniture during shipping and multiple pieces of furniture were returned damaged, scratched, or cracked. They treat you nice on the initial phone calls then after that - trash. They’re rude and know exactly what they are doing. Scammers.

Absolute nightmare! In full disclosure I find the moving industry as a whole fraught with deceit. In my case, I had a small load (500cuft) that was being moved for my 90 year old dad from Florida to Idaho. I was told that they could get it into a trailer immediately as "there was one heading that way with a little room left in it" LIEThe pick up of the items was seamless but from there, the load was sent to 4 different warehouses in different states before I notified them that they were already passed the 30 days and I wanted the items delivered45 days later I was told the truck was enroute. I had confirmed the ability to park a 55' trailer behind the unit where my dad lived but their driver called and said that he could not make the turns (it is maneuvered weekly by other delivery trucks to this senior community). I agreed to let him rent an additional truck to off load the items simply for ease. I knew this would increase the cost. When they arrived at my dad's unit, they refused to offload ANYTHING before getting paid in full. My dad had the final payment in a cashier's check but now we owed $200(?) for the rental of the additional truck. Because it was Saturday and my dad does not drive, I offered to zelle the money but the driver didn't know the zelle account that I was to transfer the money and no one at Safeway was responding. I had to drive 60 minutes to get to them to pay the money and was charged $350 per hour that they waited... EVEN THOUGH IT WAS THEIR FAULT! Keep in mind that they will pay you $30 per DAY that they are late in delivery!!!So I disputed the case and the time it takes to jump through the hoops necessary to place a claim are beyond reason. In the end, I received $134 to compensate for 15 days late, 2 missing marble table tops, 3 broken items and their complete incompetence to even know who I was to zelle money to.Save your money and use a pod or pay a friend to move your items!

This business is really a scam. Stay away at all costs. My friend is moving to a new city on the East coast from the West coast and has been waiting for two weeks for his belongings. His belongings are sitting in a warehouse in Texas with no word on when they will arrive so he can move into his apartment which he is already paying rent on. If you use them, be prepared to add the cost of a hotel for 3-4 weeks to whatever bogus estimate they have already given you. Law enforcement needs to get involved with this business.

Thank you to Dmytrii and Nich for the delivery to our final destination in the winter in the Pacific Northwest especially with blizzard conditions the week before delivery!! They exceeded our expectations with the delivery and placing the items where needed. Highly recommend!

They made me feel like i was crazy until i came to the reviews and found everyone complaining about the same thing as me...shocker.... They will severely underestimate your origional contract so that way they can add whatever they want when you are already locked in. Wish i could give 0 starsThey are not thorough in their initial estimate call but they still just put all the blame on you when you are surprised about going 300 cubic feet over the OG estimate. I Guarantee you will pay at least $1500-$3000 more than your first contract and their lackluster customer service will not have an ounce of empathy for you. I should seen this cheap service coming when they tried offering discounts and price breaks right from the start, its always too good to be true.Look out for shuttle service fees. They realize they can charge you an extra $850 for the shuttle so they will ALWAYS say they cant fit the 18 wheeler and are forced to change to shuttle, knowing they make a quick and easy profit off it since you have no choice.Online will tell you this company has the best value, but please use INTERNATIONAL VAN LINES or any of the higher end company trust me its worth paying a little more up front than to be swindled through the entire process.... despicable company honestly..... especially you MARK you are so misleading and you knew it the entire time.

I hired Safeway movers to ship my belongings from New Jersey to North Carolina. I didn't have a house in NC, so put all my belongings in Storage in New Jersey. I found a home and had all my belongings shipped to NC . This all took place in one month. I was 100% satisfied from beginning to end with theShippers and drivers. I want to give a shout to Richard Larusso, who was assigned as our go too representative. Rich was with me from beginning to end. Always very professional , upbeat, answered , solved, any question I had.Very happy my move was completed with Safe Way.. thanks Rich.

Sad and taken advantage of - in a nutshell. This felt clearly like a scam company. I ended up cancelling my job with them because they quoted one price and then when they showed up to pick up items they tripled the price!! I had 4 extra medium size boxes and a small ice chest and another item or two along the same lines. For that small overage - there was hysteria on the part of this company and it’s employees. I was in a different state and had not seen the items as they were packed for me during Covid. - hence the few items that came out unaccounted for.The guy they had call me from the site was raring to go - listing all the overages like they were outrageous - exaggerating and claiming everything needed repacking. When it was all said and done - they upped the bid to triple the quoted price!!!!I got the feeling this was not an unusual tactic.Luckily I had asked the warehouse manager where the items were stored to stand by and not let them load anything until I gave the say so - although they tried to load anyway.I cancelled the order because of the exorbitant increase - and I no longer trusted this company with my goods at that point.I lost the entire $1,200.00 dollar deposit - as they have in their contract - when I cancelled. Then to top it all off - Joseph - the contact from Safeway that gave the bid in the first place called me up after I cancelled to yell at me and tell me I was a liar!!UNBELIEVBLE!!!These people are not only scammers but they throw in harassment to top it all off. Shame on them and shame on lawmakers for not having better regulations to protect consumers. Worst moving experience ever! Please Beware- save yourself - do not use these movers!

I was told that it would only take around 3 to 4 hours for the movers to pack everything up. It took nine. The movers were very messy. I left water, Gatorade and snacks out for them as they worked, and they left the garbage of those items all over the house. we had our cat locked in one of the bathrooms, which was obvious by the way she was meowing, at one point the movers let her out, and nobody told me. The front door was wide open and she is an indoor cat. Fortunately, I found her before she could leave the house. At another point, they went outside to get the only patio furniture, but we had our dogs out there and again the front door was still wide open. They just opened the door and the dogs came running in and ran towards the front door, and we had to catch them . Then they left the gate to our backyard open, so when we went to put the dogs back outside we had to rush to close the gate before they left out that way. When I initially got the estimate, I explained that we had several glass display cases, and a very large TV. But the movers said that they would have to disassemble the glass cases, which was supposed to be included, but asked us if we even really needed them. I guess they didn’t want to disassemble them? And then proceeded to tell us that they wouldn’t be able to reassemble them even though when I got my estimate I was told that wouldn’t be a problem. Then they asked us if we were taking the TV. Which is a really odd question. I don’t know a lot of people that just leave their living room TV when they move. They told us our stuff would be delivered at the soonest the following Wednesday. This was on Thursday of the previous week , they told us to call on Monday to get the estimate. I called on Monday and was told someone would call me back later that day, but it was Tuesday before I was able to get in touch with anybody. Then I was told, very rudely, that our stuff hadn’t even been scheduled to be shipped. That it was going to have to go on a truck with other people’s stuff, and it would take three days just to load the truck. And that part of the process hadn’t even been scheduled. That it was possible that it wouldn’t even start to get delivered until the following week. And by start, I mean, load the truck and start driving across the United States. They told me if I wanted a direct delivery, that I would have to pay extra, which was never explained to me. I was never told it was even an option. So we just have an empty house with no furniture nothing to cook with, nothing to sleep on , and when I mentioned this to the woman who scheduled the deliveries, she said that they told us to take anything we were going to need, which isn’t true. We were never told that, although apparently, I guess it was in the fine print somewhere. Not that it matters, it’s not like you can exactly pack a bed. Long story short, I would, never, ever, recommend this company for a cross country move. Especially if you want your stuff in a timely manner.

They outsource the job. They lost 3 of my boxes and ended up with someone else’s boxes/ and to this day they have not done anything to resolve the issues for either party, if I could give zero stars, I would! Do not use this company!!

FRAUD - DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!They lure you in with in accurate pricing. Then they give delivery dates of 7 to 14 days. I was told by the sales rep Ron Anderson I had to book fast because I was the last one on the truck heading toward Texas. My items were picked up on 9/30 and through several calls I was told my lasted delivery would be 10/14.Ron knew I had no choice but to include my electric wheelchair because I needed other items to fit in my car for the 14 days I would be without my belongings.Once your move is picked up and they have a large portion of your moneyeverything changes.I am now told my items will not be loaded until they have a completely full truck. Regardless of delivery time provided. They called with a solution for my wheel chair today. That solution was they would pull my wheelchair and Fed Ex it to me but I would have to pay for that. I had to pay extra to ship this wheelchair with them and now although they fraudulently are holding my belongings past the delivery date I am suppose to pay even more. This supposed resolution tool 5 calls, w emails and 3 texts. Prior to that I couldn’t even get anyone to speak to me.Stay far away from SAFEWAY MOVING.I thought I was supporting a VETERAN OWNED COMPANY. No true veteran would treat someone disabled like this.

First of all, the tag line, "Stress Free Move" is a joke. I did a cross country move last year with a different company, which was stressful, but nothing compares to the nightmare that this move was. Please do not use this company. The major things I want to flag are major communication issues, lack of clarity and trust, horrible customer service, and the business not doing what they say they are going to do. I was told that the estimate I was give was fully adjustable in a phone call with their "quality team" a few days before the pick-up. I was given an estimate, I added a few things and then the price went up by almost 1,600 dollars. I did not think I had that much extra stuff and I was told repeatedly, "This is just an estimate, based on how much space you fill up in a truck we will adjust the total price." It does not say that in the contract but this is what the customer service person told me. The movers were late and when I called customer service, I was told to, "Just calm down and get out of the way. This isn't a big deal." When the movers got there an 45-60 minutes late, they complained that they had driven 5 hours from New Jersey and they were tired and that since I was upset they were late that they were considering not moving my stuff. It took the movers 7 hours to pack my items and they only used one sheet of paper to wrap one-of-a-kind valuables. The bowl below was commissioned for me by an artist who is now dead. I told them how important it was. It was packed in a towel with cast iron pans on top of it. The movers smoked inside the back of the truck with my items in there, they left the back open and unwatched and then threatened that something would happen to my items if I didn't tip each person 10-20 percent of the total move (the cost was around 7,300 hundred dollars-- so you do the math). The movers told me had significantly less stuff than the estimate (I have in writing 660 square feet and my quote was for over 700 square feet). When I called to ask about an adjustment one of the customer service representatives told me I was lying and I didn't know what I was talking about. It took 5 days to finally talk to someone. The representative told me he was going to try to help me because he listened to the call and told me that the representative I talked to told me the wrong thing. They offered me 581 dollars (not the 1500 they added to my move), when I asked for more back- to go back to the original estimate- I was told I would hear back by the end of day. I never got a call back. I had to call daily for 5 days until I finally got an answer. I never got an answer about why I never heard back and I had to call. I was mocked by the customer service representative for not knowing what Zelle was. I asked for a check and when they sent a picture of the check and envelope, only the street name was on the check. I have not received the check. I spoke to someone on a Monday 10/2 who said my items had been loaded onto a truck but there was no driver and they didn't know when the driver would be available. I was told they would tell me on Oct. 5 when I could expect my items. I got a call on the 5th that my items would come the next day. I was out of town on business. Nothing about this move was easy, or stress free. It was awful and horrible. Do not use this company. I have a number of items that are broken, dented, smashed.
