I had to transfer to this pharmacy due to the one I normally use closing down and I wanted to see if this one would be a good fit. It's not! Waiting 2-3 days for medications you need to start ASAP and still not having it ready when you arrive is a little ridiculous. I get being understaffed hell I work at a pharmacy myself that is understaffed and under a shutdown but we still make it work the last time I went people were having conversations and not working instead of tending to the customers needs, may need to go elsewhere for my meds

Never not once has it been a smooth experience. Missing prescriptions, being notified things were ready and being made to wait an hour, wrong quantities of pills in bottles, and the inability to process coupons that have blatantly worked in the past. Unfortunately at that point you are stuck because you need your prescription but having to pay 3x the normal amount is just awful.

I generally like the staff at this pharmacy. Very helpful and amenable.
Recently, a senior pharmacist eagerly encouraged me to get a Covid vaccine booster before international travel. Then, the student pharmacist took over the conversation and when he realized it was a second dose of last year’s vaccine, he refused. He wouldn’t explain why. The senior pharmacist didn’t chime in and the student wouldn’t consult with any other staff. I asked him on what grounds, what policy, what medical advice, was he refusing to give me a booster dose. He refused and just repeated I had already had it and it wasn’t updated. I said I was fully aware it wasn’t the new one and I still wanted what was in stock. I ran out of time before my trip and went elsewhere - they gave it to me with no hesitation, no questions. Train your student staff better please.

Jamie helped me out the other day when I had Covid and needed to get a Rx filled. I felt like absolute garbage and he was able to help get my Rx filled promptly which was a life saver.

This pharmacy is SO bad I’d rather give it a zero. It typically takes them 2-3 days to fill a prescription called in by my doctor. And even then I have to call at least once, but often more than that, to find out if they’ve received the prescription, if they have the drug in stock, if they’re able to process it. It’s nuts.My last (and I do mean LAST) prescription was an absolutely terrible experience. First, I called to check on my meds the day after they had been called in. I was told that their system had been HACKED and so they couldn’t process my order. No explanation of what “hacked” meant and how much of my private information had been leaked. We finally agreed that if I paid cash, I could get my meds that afternoon. Mind you, they’ve been billing my insurance for years. When I arrived at 5:00 (6-7 hours later) to see if I could maybe, just maybe, get my medicine, it wasn’t even ready. So I had to wait 15 minutes for them to get it together. When I finally checked out, I asked (mostly nicely) why it wasn’t ready before, I was told “We’re short staffed here [nb that’s been true for years]. We’re doing the best we can - that’s all the answer I can give you”. And then she turned away and dismissed me. Bear in mind that when I walked up, there were 3 people standing around, chatting and laughing.Never, ever, EVER again. Safeway should be ashamed of themselves.

My parents are 91 and 93 and needed to get the RSV vaccination. Everyone in the pharmacy was so friendly and helpful. We had been trying since September to find a pharmacy that would bill their Medicare supplemental insurance. Caryn took the time to work with United Healthcare to find out how to do that and then spent days working patiently with us while Medicare billing was down. I have moved all their pharmacy needs to the Safeway Lowry Pharmacy. I recommend them very highly!

Karen might be the best pharmacist I have personally worked with. She has gone above and beyond multiple times to help me out.

Most staff, with the notable exception of Karyn, have given up on even making a pretense of caring about work. “Date of birth” is the new greeting and any extra question seems bothersome. Yes, it’s a busy place, but it’s not the customer’s fault that they are understaffed.

The Safeway Pharmacy at 200 Quebec Street Denver 80230 is WONDERFUL! The pharmacist Karen is extremely knowledgeable, kind and very helpful. Prescriptions are consistently filled easily and quickly. I’ve always received GREAT assistance from the hard working employees at this Safeway Pharmacy.

This pharmacy has triple the staff of any of the local CVS or Walgreens locations and is incredibly organized, with all of the filled prescriptions in labeled bags before you even arrive. Impressively painless experience!

I have a fever and the only cure is more cow bell... but seriously this pharmacy has the cure for what ails ya. I see a lot of negative reviews but honestly I have found them to be very professional and helpful. The pharmacist is very good at what she does and has helped me get my prescription despite the shortage of it that currently exists. Two thumbs up from this guy.
