Safe to say that this Safeway in Broadway near Alameda is overpriced, understaffed, and takes security to an uncomfortable level. $ 6.50 for a meager portion of cheder cheese? Please. Chester Cheetah just jumped from his high tops. Bread takes a ton of bread to buy...why? Safety and security is expensive, and my bread and cheese costs more so off duty cops can make more standing around watching the store? What for? Bring prices down I'm not fooling around. It's hard enough in Dtown

I just had the best shopping experience ever and it’s even the day before Thanksgiving. The store is super busy! I interacted with probably five employees to help me find specialty items. Every single employee was patient, kind and went out of their way to make sure I got what I needed for the price I anticipated.

For the third time in as many months this store was out of chicken except for a couple about-to-expire packs of drumsticks. I would say this was due to Thanksgiving, but it’s not the first time I’ve seen this Safeway with no chicken. This on top of the generally over-priced but poor quality produce and other items that always seem to be out of stock, I would recommend going to another grocery store (since you will have to go to one anyway to find all the products Safeway is missing). I can’t wait until they don’t have to compete with King Soopers anymore, I’m sure that will make this situation even better!

I do not feel safe shopping here. I know it's nothing the employees can do, but I shouldn't feel like I have to keep my head on a swivel at all times inside and outside the store. As for the store itself, it hasn't been updated in decades and it clearly shows. Maybe with the growth of the area it will be considered for an upgrade but as of right now it's very dated and looks shabby. The selection is somewhat limited reflecting the smaller size of the store. With so many others in the area, I would recommend driving the extra 10mins if you can.

The supermarket is a go-to for anyone who values organic options—it's well-organized and easy to navigate. Staff are always friendly and eager to help. Compared to Walmart, there's no contest; this place offers better quality and more competitive prices, in my humble opinion. Highly recommend!

The area in and around the self-checkout is very cramped. There’s barely room to navigate the shopping carts. I also had an issue today where my cart locked when I got to the exit. The alarm went off. I saw employees notice I was stuck, but they didn’t do anything. I had to grab another cart and move all of my stuff into it so that I could leave the store. It’s the kind of experience that makes me want to try the neighboring Sam’s Club… or move to the suburbs.

I've had good customer service at this store before but today I wanted to use the bathroom so I asked a cashier to open it for me. The cashier didn't say anything to me, looked annoyed, and just went and opened the men's restroom for me. As a woman, I was a little uncomfortable going in there because it has a bunch of urinals, not in stalls. I wasn't able to use it because the toilets were covered in fecal matter, it was disgusting.

When you're overwhelmed as hell from grubbing and you're trying to stay classy & not gassy and you look about 24 months along and about to leave, but your good pal made sweet apple pie???????........Tis the season ?☕??❄I love the cooler season. How come no sweet potato pie, though?...

If you want the feeling of shopping in a third world country this is a great store for you. Produce is quite important to me and there was no lettuce, avocados were moldy or all the tops removed (grocery stores need to educate ppl that destroying produce doesn't tell you if it's ripe) no limes, and every artichoke eaten by bugs. Maybe the holiday weekend has issues with staffing and shipping but maybe explain that or something instead of letting your grocery store be something scary to shop at. I believe that Safeway management can do better. Can't wait til it's an illegal monopoly belonging to Kroger.

I like this grocery store when I went there last week, I am surprised why many people put negative reviews. Their prices are the best so far in Denver and if you’re looking for healthy groceries, you can definitely find it there they seemed even cheaper than King Soopers, and definitely cheaper than Whole Foods.

Meat Department was a Mess! Meat packages We're open and meat was exposed. Old blood, hair in the meat cages.Fruit molded left out for people to see fruit trays open again, not properly sealed, God forbid if you have a question. You have no one to ask for help. Store associates seem like they have better things to do than help you.
