The programs are perfect for students of all skill levels, and the staff is perfectly friendly and helpful. School of Rock Denver is a very professional outfit that will give your kids the opportunity to grow and discover themselves along side others with shared goals and aspirations. My son loves his time and friends there and has become a very talented musician who is far more confident and thoughtful than before he started. I couldn't ask for more.

I love school of rock, I have been playing drums their for years, It has been an amazing experience. They have helped me find my love for music and creating music. The staff is amazing, helpful, and kind. If you have a child, I strongly suggest you try it out even if it's one lesson. And if you do like then try out the band camp it is a great way to make new friends and find other people who love music.

School of Rock has been an amazing for my teenage son (years 14-16). He has done three shows and has become a much better musician and and developed a lot of confidence though the program. The staff, music director and teachers have all been phenomenal. Jim is providing Denver kids with something special.

So far so good. The people that work here are extremely friendly and know what they are doing. My daughter went in for a 1 on 1 guitar lesson while they gave me the tour. Plenty of space and just an awesome atmosphere. Waiting for my daughter to complete her lesson and see what she thinks. $205 /month for one 45min lesson per week $315/month for one 45 min lesson per week and a 3h class per week (group)

Fantastic experience for both my kids. Jim and the team really provide a safe, fun and meaningful way to experience all parts of being in a rock band.

I've really enjoyed taking lessons at School of Rock! I'm in my forties and learning a completely new instrument. It is a challenge, but the staff and instructors have been wonderful and have tailored the experience to my prior knowledge and adult capacity.I would recommend School of Rock for any other adult interested in indulging their inner rock star!

Its sad to see the lost passion. If you want your kid to be technically capable then this is the place for you. He'll get good attention and care. But if you want passion for music then its probably not the place...they care more about money and virtuosos then bringing out the love of music in kids.

School of Rock Denver is in a word amazing! Our son is a student there and loves the instructors and the programs. We have been extremely pleased with all aspects of his experience there and have watched him grow and excel in his musical abilities.

Had a negative experience when trying to pause my membership. School of Rock continued charging my card after I had a phone call with Jim, the owner, in late August, and explained that I wanted to pause my membership. Two months later, I checked my credit card statement, and found that I was still getting charged monthly for lessons that I was no longer taking. I called and talked to Jim, and was initially told that it was a software issue, and that the school audits its software every month to make sure that nobody with a paused membership is getting erroneously charged. I asked why the audit had failed to catch my paused membership account being charged, and was then told by Jim that there was no note of my membership status ever having been changed to paused.Jim asked how I had gone about pausing my membership. I had to explain to him that I had asked to pause it on a phone call with HIM two months prior. He said that he didn't remember the call, and said that I should have sent a written request to pause my membership as well. I was frustrated to hear from the exact person that I had asked to pause my membership, who had assured me on our August phone call that it would be paused, that it was my lack of a written request that was responsible for the school's failure to pause my membership. It stretches my belief that the school would fail to reach out to me as they kept charging my card month after month as I no-showed for the lessons that I had believed were paused. I missed a lesson when attending the school before pausing my membership, and received a phone call that night to check on my absence. The idea that I could no-show for five consecutive weeks, as they continued to charge my card for those lessons, without receiving a single call from School of Rock, is hard for me to interpret as an innocent mistake.I was refunded. However, when I called and asked why I had been charged $400 for lessons I hadn't taken, I didn't feel that Jim's initial response was apologetic in any way. Just an "oh, we'll refund it." No apology until I communicated how unhappy I was over the bogus charges. If I had not checked my credit card statement, I wouldn't have known I was being charged, and SoR would have continued to siphon hundreds of dollars from me each month. I did not get an apology from the owner regarding his failure to process my pause membership request in our initial phone call. I would warn anyone who thinks they've paused their membership to double check their credit card statements, and to put their pause of membership in writing.

The Denver School of Rock has developed a program that turns children into rock stars! My son has been in the program for 3 years and has grown into amazing musician! The staff is fantastic, and really cares about the kids' growth as players, but the highlight of the program (for me) is the many opportunities for the kids to grace the same stages that have seen the likes of the greatest musicians in history (looking at you Red Rocks). The chance to play live gigs in real theaters for real people will take your child from 'just learning' to 'rockin' and a rollin' in no time. As an added bonus, my child's interest in music has grown exponentially! He is pursuing bands with other SoR students he's become friends with, he's playing in his high school Jazz band, and I've never once had to ask him to practice his instrument. To see my child's love of music grow into a full fledge passion is worth way more than what we pay into the program. I'm grateful to Jim and his team for the wonderful 'coaching' they provide. There is no greater feeling as a parent than seeing your child beaming with pride after knowing they just crushed their performance. Rock on School of Rock and THANK YOU!
