Almost two years ago, my mother somewhat unexpectedly passed away. It was a lot to go through at the time, and investment was the last thing on my mind. I met Dan at my mother’s memorial, where he went out of his way to introduce himself with an amount of tact that I deeply appreciated. I didn’t know at the time, but my mother, Lori Cooney, had been his very first client.
Over the next several months Dan was available for all my questions. He helped me to understand the situation and encouraged me to stay on as a client with him. Dan is quick, communicative, and highly professional.
Dan truly cares for and looks out for the people whom he works with. He is more than just a financial advisor, he is a real person who treats others as real people, in a world where not many people still operate this way.
From my own experience, Dan is not only intelligent and professional, but also a person who is genuinely going to look out for you and your family’s best interest.

We started working with Dan several months ago after an initial consult left us feeling relieved we finally had someone who cared about our financial stability. After realizing we were in worse shape than we initially thought with our current investments, retirement and life insurance accounts, Dan was able to sit down with us and help us identify and prioritize what changes would be the biggest impact to us. We feel much more at ease knowing Dan is on our side and is working with us. His communication is top notch, and his ability to dumb it down for people who don't really understand what we need to do is comforting. He also sent us several recommendations on other folks to use in various efforts we did, including life insurance, etc etc. Everyone has been fantastic and has helped me relax a little bit compared to a few months ago. I had a consultation with Dan just under a week ago; from the onset he has been professional, transparent, friendly and thorough. Dan is also a great listener as demonstrated in the post-call follow up email that I received same-day.Fast forward a few business days later, I have decided to move assets from my current firm to Dan's. While these steps aren't always smooth, Dan has been patient and professional - working with me every step of the way. I do not feel like a number. And that's important to me.Dan has provided me with a plethora of financial resources and offered to meet once the funds transfer(s) have been completed to discuss short and longer-term goals. I have various options available to me but I don't feel pressured in any way.Down the road I'll update my review; based on my initial experience I am very happy with this decision and my experience working with Dan. That said, I recommend Schutte Financial.
