I gave this 3 stars because of the rooms electricity. The power was constantly going out in our room. They must have an electrical problem. I would have to call the front desk with my cell to tell them room 921 power went out again. They would say they were sending engineering up. It would take some time for the power to turn back on.Mind you it had been snowing and its 34 degrees outside.Other than that the room was nice. Beds were comfy. No stains on the bed or sheets. Shower was fine. Side note our bathroom power would also go out and all the other lights worked vise versa.Good location. We stayed for 420.

A very nice hotel right in downtown, so it's close to everything.

Pretty disappointing experience. Stayed two nights last weekend. Two out of the four elevators in a 21 story hotel didn’t work. At times we waited almost 10 minutes to get an elevator. Other times we just said screw it and took the stairs. Water pressure in the bathroom sink was non existent, water temperature in the shower didn’t get hot. Cable TV didn’t work one of the nights either, because of rain? It’s 2024 cmon. Oh, and our room wasn’t made up when we were gone the entire day. There’s many better options in downtown Denver.

Visited a friend at this hotel. The rooms were decent and spacious. The elevator was crowded and slow with a few out of service.

My recent stay at the Sonesta in Denver exceeded all expectations! From the moment I arrived, the staff went above and beyond, providing exceptional service with a genuine smile. As a gesture of appreciation for my military service, I was pleasantly surprised to be upgraded to a better room, which truly made my stay extra special. The culinary experience was a highlight as well. The hotel's restaurant offered a delightful array of dishes, each bursting with flavor and expertly prepared. Whether enjoying a hearty breakfast or indulging in a late-night snack, the quality of the food was consistently impressive. The bar also served up delicious drinks, perfect for unwinding after a long day of exploring the city. While the overall experience was superb, I did notice that the elevator seemed to move at a leisurely pace, making frequent stops on each floor. However, this minor inconvenience was easily overshadowed by the exceptional service and amenities provided by the hotel. In conclusion, the Sonesta in Denver is a gem of a hotel with its incredible staff, delectable dining options, and thoughtful gestures like military upgrades. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a memorable stay in the Mile High City! ⭐⭐⭐⭐

Horrible horrible service tonight! It’s April and no cable service, due to weather, stayed here multiple times, no microwave in any rooms, elevators have been out for months now! Asked for a HDMI cable was told to Uber it to the hotel!. Won’t stay again we will put our money somewhere else!Nearby activities: Close to most things but the service was horrible this time around! BYE!

Staff was very friendly, hotel looks unkempt and dirty, dirty rugs, door room wasn’t even closing itself and found hairs inside towel. Attaching pics.

I was disappointed. The staff, while very helpful, maybe, has been dealing with this... But it is not just downtown Denver under renovations. So is the Sonesta. It was very difficult to catch a working elevator. So wait time is silly sometimes, bring your own water for the wait in the lobby. And finding a working ice machine was an adventure. Also, the use of 3 flat sheets between myself, a dirty mattress pad, and a stained comforter was unsettling. There are no FITTED sheets. Or duvet covers. There is ONE flat sheet over the mattress pad. And 2 flat sheets folded over a duvet; they don't close. They fold over the ends. Then, while getting ready for our show at the Buell, the bathroom lights shut off twice, because of tripped breakers from "construction" in the building...The staff was helpful, but this was my first vaca away from my own job in hospitality. Please do better. At least a full set of clean sheets?!

2024 (4 stars) - Have to update after our 2024 convention there. While I still have issues with the size of the closet/lack of drawers in the standard room, the overall experience was markedly better.Yes, the air conditioning died for the whole hotel one day (it was the first hot day of the year I think), but it was fixed within a few hours, and when I reported our room's air conditioning was still messed up I was reassured they'd get right on it. And they did - it was nice and icy cool by the time we got back to our room.Taylor at the restaurant in the morning deserves a special shout out for taking such great care of us all 3 mornings we were there, Shelly was wonderful again. And also Benny (I think was his name) and really everyone on the event staff, and the head chef. We had some random requests, and they were just the kindest and MOST helpful.2023 (3 stars) - Stayed here for a work convention so to be fair I had no control over the room I was booked, but our 2 queen bed suite had only a small closet (2 feet wide) which was half full because of the full size ironing board, no dresser or drawers anywhere so my coworker and I both were living out of our suitcases. The first room we were assigned we couldn’t get in to, and the second room had the most touchy door to try to get in - by day 2 we figured out the trick was pulling it more closed after the card unlocked it, then try opening it - which worked about 75% of the time. And the air conditioning went out on the third night at 12am. I did not call the front desk because I had an early call, so I cannot advise on responses.Breakfast was good, and bar service was great as well! Shout out to Shelly at the bar, she took great care of us.Proximity to restaurants and everything was awesome. We were able to walk to everywhere we needed.I’d stay here again only if I could get a room upgrade to something with clothing storage.

Wonderful location! Great place to stay! The rooms were clean and beautifully decorated. The staff were all very attentive and amazing. If you’re coming to Denver, this is the place to stay. Can’t wait to come back!!

All I want to post about is our experience at the bar. It was absolutely amazing and that was because of our beautiful and fantastic bar tender Shelly. She was so sweet to my sister and I, we were cutting it close to the 10pm cut off time and she was so sweet and got a drink whipped up for us. There was also a guy super drunk and hitting on us and Shelly was great and making sure we were okay and easing the awkwardness. Shelly is a vibe. Shelly is a queen. Come to the bar for Shelly and tip her well!! ❤️

The hotel's location was a bonus for me as it was within walking distance of the Denver Convention Center, where I had to attend a conference. The proximity to restaurants and shops was also convenient. The staff was great during my stay, and the room was comfortable. However, the furniture in the room could be updated to improve the overall experience. Despite being on a higher floor, the noise from the street was disturbing, making it difficult for me to get a restful sleep.Walkability: A few blocks away from the Denver Convention Center.

We had a lovely experience at this hotel. It felt clean and staff was very friendly. Specifically Evan Wright. There was an unexpected water leak and their team held it together to overcome the challenges. I’ve stayed at multiple hotels in downtown and all have been positive experiences. But the staff at this hotel truly made me feel the most welcomed.

Hotel looks mostly nice but is quite dated. Doesn't look like there's been a proper remodel in a while just a face lift. One of the elevators was out of commission intermittently, the water pressure in the shower was absolute trash (barely enough to wash off the soap) and the hot water kept coming and going. The hvac unit in the room has the sound of a broken locomotive but actually worked well. The bed was comfortable and the staff pleasant. In the morning when people are getting ready you can hear other guests clearly through the walls, not recommended if you want a proper nights rest or a guaranteed shower in the morning but the location is hard to beat. Unfortunately for this particular hotel there are many other lodging options very close by so I hope they improve.Walkability: Easy to walk all over downtown, capitol hill and Union Station.Food & drinks: In house bar until 11pm and on-site breakfast with many other options nearby.
