I've lived at The Birch for over 4 months now. I really enjoy the location in the middle of Glendale and it's so close to I-25 it makes going anywhere in Denver easier. I have a 1 bedroom and I love how big they are and spacious plus the big windows for my plants was a plus! It is an older building so you will hear your neighbors from time to time but it's nothing crazy.
What gives The Birch 5 stars was the management team, especially Ali the Property Manager. She has been amazing and extremely helpful. I understand she is very busy and the entire team and they always responded to me within a few days.
Recently Ali helped me with a very unique situation that I've never encountered before. She went above and beyond for me and helped so much! If it wasn't for her I wouldn't be happy at all. She really knows these properties inside and out and really does care. I am grateful for a great management team.
The Birch is a cheaper apartment building and that is something to remember. Don't expect amenities that you would get from a $2,500 a month apartment. The building is older but still maintained well and maintenance moves quickly and respectfully. This was my starter apartment here in Denver and I'll be forever grateful! It is a great place and great price!
Thank you Ali and team!

do not recommend living here. All the apartments are infected, not just me. If I could give them a star, I would. They are the worst. I wouldn't even recommend them to my worst enemy. It is very easy to receive the money each month and pay on time, but they are incapable of having a little understanding with their inhabitants. On several occasions, I said that they would move me and they told me no. That if I want to change, I have to pay a new deposit and a new month's rent so they can move me. Or if I want to terminate my contract, they fine me for non-compliance, but they don't see the damage they cause to the staff who live in these apartments.

This place is disgusting. Below are just a few photos of my time here. I left the unit in better shape than when I moved in and they took my security deposit anyway, (I have proof of this) and refused to respond to my dispute. No one in the office is helpful or has any idea what they are doing. Every time I went in there it was someone new.
They also have a log of secret charges in their rent. $45 a month for a “common area maintenance fee”…..the photos below are from the common area. That’s one of many fees they put in.
All they want is your money, otherwise a pretty lax place to live if you don’t mind dog shit in the hallways and stair wells, people who smoke inside their units, and cockroaches.

Do not move here.
People let their dogs defecate in the hallway, and management does nothing about it. It stays there for days, sometimes even a week at a time. I notified the office of the problem at the beginning of May. There are dog feces in the hallways and common areas almost every day. It’s unsanitary, unsafe, and downright disgusting. I can’t believe I’m paying $1350 to live in dog feces and roaches. There is no way this can be legal. It’s absolutely appalling.
I would never recommend this place. And quite frankly, the unprofessionalism and the disorganization of the leasing office, I wouldn’t recommend any of the properties the Collective Glendale has to offer. I am deeply saddened to live here.
Please don’t move here. I regret my decision to stay here for as long as I have, as there are so many other options that are cleaner and more professional. Trust the negative reviews. Stay away.

The Birch is under the umbrella of the Glendale Collective, a typical corporate apartment group. They manage 500+ units including The Birch.
Our apartment was not ready upon move in, and we were placed in a different apartment and forced to sign a new lease, even though we had already signed one.
Our primary complaint is the BLATANT LIES told by management regarding utilities. We were told utilities were “included in the rent” and we only had to pay electricity. This is a lie. Upon signing lease you will be charged for all other utilities directly from management. You pay electric directly to XCEL, and then all other utilities will be billed in your rent from Conservice LLC, which might as well be named Theftservice LLC, since you won’t be made aware that you’ll be on the hook for Conservice LLC until after signing the lease. They also will lie on the phone and claim you only will be billed for XCEL, but they WILL BILL YOU. LIES!
Management is impossible to contact. We were given a non-functional mailbox key and called several times about it only for them to delay for over a week before we had to go in-person at the front office.
When you go to the front office, be prepared to wait in a line of several other people. Whatever issue you have, be prepared to waste 20 minutes of your life before you actually talk to someone.
There is no centralized resident portal. No option to pay rent online unless you sign up with Flex, a third party. Which means you have to go physically get a money order, physically go to office, and waste your life. Also, you pay parking separately, which is a pain.
The package delivery system sucks. I never get any code texted to me about the locker, so I have to go contact management. See prior points for how much of a pain that is.
Basically, living at The Birch has been the worst apartment experience I’ve ever had. This one-star rating will remain until living conditions improve.

These people are shady, time of reviews talk about bed bugs. they wouldn't show me an apartment, wouldn't present me a lease until the day before move in? They want a 600$ deposit up front and will withhold it if you back out. What kind of apartment asks for 600$ just to apply? All around I wonder how they continue to operate.

i have lived here for two years and when i say listen to these reviews, LISTEN TO THEM. this was by far, THE WORST apartments i have ever lived in. the roaches are TRUE. they will put a notice on your door claiming to come spray, they either never do or they half ass the job. two years and they never ever leave. the buildings are trashed all the time. people allow their pets to use the bathroom in the hallways and never pick it up. the trash in the main entrance is always over flowing. the mailroom has been broken into several times and the mailboxes were ripped from the wall. the door to the front door is always broken and i have even seen homeless people ASLEEP in the stairwells. parking lots are full of trash as well. beer bottles everywhere from people partying in the lots. the walls are incredibly thin and neighbors party all night and all day long. the building smells like cigarette smoke 24/7 because people smoke in the stairwells and in their apartments so much I can smell it in my unit. management is incredibly rude and not helpful in anyway. maintenance is NOT reliable. i put in a request SEVEN times, they claimed they came and they never did (i have a ring camera and checked each time stamp and they never showed) i also asked for them to call me before arriving and the man tried to arrive at 9pm and opened the door when i was in the shower. I could genuinely go on and on about why this place is beyond awful. please please be wary, if you decide to move in. be sure you know how to fix any issues with your apartment. STOCK UP on roach spray, and buy yourself a good set of noise canceling ear buds because your neighbors love to party. this place is unsafe, unsanitary, run down, and just unbearable. i have never been so happy to move.

Recently walked this complex to rent. I was very shocked to see dead bugs in the unit that they walked me through. From the bathroom to behind the door. Very unsettling and unprofessional when showcasing a unit to rent. The staff was lovely but the unit wasn’t.

UPDATE: snow removal is non existent…be prepared to slip and slide your way in/out of the building. I will be reporting to the City of Glendale!!
Please stay away!!! I’ve been here since September and have had issues with ROACHES, parking unavailability even though we have to pay $10 per month, no heat for almost two weeks during the first snowfall in November (was provided with an electric heater which ran up my electricity bill), the washers and dryers are a joke, packages stolen, my neighbor across the hall had her packages stolen as well, doors left propped open for anyone to enter and roam the building, loud music playing until early morning hours, trash/furniture everywhere instead of in the dumpster and more ROACHES, etc. They offer a free month’s rent and now you know why. RUN!!!

So far so great, I feel safe and my apartment was clean upon move in. Trash is taken care of, the community is nice. I definitely recommend. ?

Had an amazing experience getting into my new home, under short notice. Ali from, The office was the friendliest, most helpful customer service rep. She not only kept the whole experience low stress, but was proactive on helping me through any issues that would have been major stressed.
Ali is always available, or very quickly responds back, she kept the paperwork short and has me excited for a new home.
I only held one star back because I think I should live there first.

Worst experiance with this apartment.I helped my brother to rent him apartmemt, the birch unit 108, the bath tub gets filled with restroom water from upstairs. He(Parshu) created work order so many times, every time they close the work order withought fixing.Because of the dirty water, the room smells so bad.The room’s condition is so bad but still they rent it.We are trying to report this issue to healt department or reporting it to police officer if the management didnot fix in 24 hours
