The truck was visually inspected briefly before turning it over to me as the customer. And as a customer i completed the necessary app and 360 walk around before leaving.
However, once i got to my destination there was trash between the passenger seat and the passenger door. which tells me that the service tech did not open all doors and verify its cleanliness. Also, in the rear of the truck up in moms attic there were boards that i would assume were the cross slates for a bed. They could not be seen if a individual was standing on the ground. Again, a thorough walk through was not performed.
Regarding u-haul corporate for pick up:
the truck i ordered was no where near its destination. I had to drive almost 100 miles away to initially pick up the truck. This is horrible customer service because that alone consumed one of my moving days and it did not add any additional days to my rental. lastly, in a previous rental the Sterling, Colorado location had amazing customer service and drove out of his way to retrieve a truck prior to my pick up because that is what the contract stated for me as a customer. That is how business should be done.
Regarding u-haul corporate for drop off:
The individual that contacted me regarding the new drop off location was horrible.( Las Vegas, Decatur location) I firmly told her that i will not be taking the u-haul to a different location for drop off, and that my contract states a particular location and that is my contract. So what she did, was she went into the system and changed my drop off location anyways knowing that the system would charge me a rate for the new location as if i dropped it off at the wrong location AFTER WE GOT OFF OF THE PHONE. ( Dishonest and very conniving to the literal meaning of the word)
It took me 2 days after my move and 2 calls into u-haul to finally get a representative to change the location back to what my contract originally stated and to the best of my knowledge as of right now, not charge me any additional fees. (we'll see when the final charge hits the Credit Card)
U-haul, you need to do better. If there are not enough trucks in a area. Hire the employees to transport and or hire a transport truck to accommodate trucks in a particular area. bestowing that burden on the renters last minute the day before they pick up their truck is horrible customer service. In addition, to changing drop off locations and charging people more just because they have the power to do so and not the authority to spend my money for me. Not to mention how morally wrong that is to change a contract agreement. Add it to the system to not be able to chose a drop off location if too may vehicles are already there.

Deplorable! Was given a truck with NO gas. The customer service person said if I didn't like I should contact corporate. Most absurdly, my debit card was charged 3x. DO NOT do business with this "U-haul".

As many of the customers on here have pointed out, the font desk guy Caleb Negri is unprofessional, rude, demeaning and extremely patronizing. He simply would not hand me the keys to the van because I told him I'm not a toddler and there is no need to talk to me in such patronizing manner. He then called me names, and threatened to call the police if I don't leave. Can you belive the audacity? He claimed I wouldn't return the van within 3 hours, however, if you check my locations, it'd take me a bit over an hour to accomplish my move, and I had it reserved for 3 hours. I ended up looking for a van all day in the rain. Yes, I ended up booking with U-Haul at a different location, but I am not sure If I ever wish to use this company ever again as they don't vet their people. Moreover, I belive his actions were racially motivated.

Way to screw us over. Katie or whatever your name is, you need to learn how to be nice to people. I get you hate your job but it's customer service, stop being a total Karen. Also: RESERVATIONS need to be honored!!!!! Don't call it a reservation if you don't tend on keeping it. I reserve a table at a restaurant SO NO ONE SITS THERE!!!! THAT IS THE DEFINITION. I don't care about people "living in your trucks" that's not my problem. But you have made it so my pregnant behind and my husband on dialysis had double the work and we get to spend MORE money so we can get to the house we bought on the east coast where we are getting him on OTHER transplant lists. I hope NO ONE goes through you guys anymore. What a joke of a business.

They didn’t have all the equipment I reserved through Uhaul.com when I arrived at the pick-up time. The guy at the desk was AMAZINGLY rude and unapologetic about their mistake, and why the heck didn’t someone notify me of this before I arrived? Wow, SO RUDE. A TERRIBLE customer experience. I’ll never use this location again. Beware!

I went to pick up the truck before the store opened because it gives you the option for a mobile pickup. When we arrived the owner didn’t have the truck ready, insisted we were wrong, and then called us a**holes and was dropping F bombs.

I'd recommend this place to get a U-Haul if you're within the area and need something quick; the online ordering process was simple enough and it cost me less than $35 in total...However, I'd stay away from Caleb Negri. He interpreted me entering the store in the middle of an emergency crisis call as being "rude," even though I told him what the call was about and to let me know if he needs further info from me.He called me "argumentative" when I tried to understand exactly why he was about to refuse to rent a truck to me and send me up the street. He kind of coughed into his arm a couple of separate times within minutes of my visit and I told my responder that I had to end my call to wrap up the U-Haul transaction because I was concerned (my grandma recently passed from COVID). He got offended at that point, even though I really didn't make the coughing that much of an issue. Either way, I was on a time crunch that day and had to focus on the move.Worst of all, Caleb lied to me & told me that his name was "David" when I asked who he was, even though his name was on the rental invoice clear as day. He told me that he'd rent the truck to me, but I "BETTER NOT write a bad review." I'd have let all of this slide had he not lied to me after trying to escalate an unnecessary confrontation. Fist bumps & fake rapport can't conceal unprofessional behavior, Caleb.
