ABSOLUTELY AVOID THIS USPS LOCATION!!!!!!!!!
I should have listened to the reviews. I needed to ship a concert poster from Red Rocks back home to Iowa, and unfortunately, this was the closest post office to my Airbnb. They didn’t have poster tubes—only a box—which turned out to be a complete disaster.
Tammy, the same woman mentioned in countless other reviews, was the only one working. She was incredibly rude, skipped right over confirming the shipping details, and gave me a nasty look when I asked to double-check the label.
I paid for three-day priority shipping, but it took a week and a half. The package traveled from Colorado to Kansas, then Iowa, back to Kansas, then to Illinois, and finally back to Iowa. By the time it arrived, the box looked like it had been folded in half. My special edition VIP concert poster was completely ruined.
To make matters worse, since it was a purchase from the concert, I don’t have a receipt—so no way to file a claim.
Bottom line: listen to all the other reviewers. This location is a nightmare. Go literally anywhere else.

I was helped by a younger guy with awesome piercings and was in and out in less than 5 minutes! Glad the other reviews didn’t dissuade me from coming here—only saw one other employee while I was in, no sign of the grumpy gal that others seemed to be complaining about.

Incredibly rude older woman works at this location. Unbelievably rude, no consideration for others what so ever. Should have read reviews and not wasted my time considering how many other people encounter this same rude employee. I don't understand how she still has a job with her poor attitude and treatment of others.

The scary lady works there who hates her job and you for giving her one. Go to any other location. I have no confidence my post will be properly guided.

DO NOT USE THIS POST OFFICE UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES!!!!
Before today, I had never had ANY issues with shipping any item with the USPS. Sadly, this has now changed. I media mailed several books from this location as well as one ground package. The ground package arrived at its intended destination with no issues, but the media mail book package didn't leave the post office for a full week. Then, it magically was shipped in two days to the destination which was roughly 3-4 states away. When it arrived at the destination, only 4 books out of twenty where there! I filed an investigation the moment I was informed, and I discovered that the package was 11 pounds when I dropped it off at this post office, and only 3 pounds when it left the post office for a Colorado shipping depot! There where no notes about issues with the package or damage.
Rest assured I will be filing all the necessary claims and working with any and all organizations that can help recover as many of the books as possible AND seek compensation for this shipment for me and the recipient.

Not much parking, but I have always been able to park out front. Quick service. No post cards available except for special order. Went online trying to find how to order the cards. After a long time gave up. Website is a joke.

I went to this post office for my sister whose mail was being held because she is out of the country. I was met by Tammy who was okay at first. She was “sufficient,” however, as I inquired about having the mail held for another 30 days - as my sister will be overseas still, she huffed and said she would ask her manager. She disappeared for a bit getting the mail and “asking the manager.” She came back and shoved the bin of mail at me and said the manager said no to holding the mail. I had the USPS website up on my phone and tried to point out that it stated after a three day lapse, you could request another 30 day hold. She said very rudely “my manager said he will not hold her mail for another 30 days!” She then pointed out that the mail will continue to be delivered to her mailbox and if it gets too full the mail will be returned to sender. So I guess that’s the easier resolution; keep shoving mail into a full mailbox and then whatever doesn’t fit, process it again to go back to the sender instead of just holding it. I said that I live 60 miles away and cannot check her mail every day or every week and she said “I don’t know what to tell you.” I should have talked directly with the manager because their answer to my question was rude and dismissive on both counts and when your government website says something to the contrary, why do you feel you can just make up your own rules. Lazy and ignorant business practices! I guess you’re allowed to be rude if you work for the government.
