this VET sucks! Terrible and emotionally draining experience with Dr. Jacobs!!!!!Second time she exaggerates things to worse case scenarios. She doesn’t even let me talk. Knows I am extremely worried about her lies and just leaves while my jaw and mouth are completely dropped in response to her lies!Stained my cat’s eye knowing he just had an upper respiratory infection. But OK. Willing to throw an extra $80 for my baby although it was probably not necessary. Both her and her technician scared the hell out of me saying my cat had a NASAL TUMOR. The technician talked so much and did not let me speak too. She pointed out the concerns for a nasal tumor were: he was dripping only from one side of nose (although she had pointed nasal drip crusting on the Right side too before DR came in) his mouth smelled and his nose looked deformed. She then helped me bring him to the car while saying she was SO sorry and sounding so pessimistic making sure I understood this was probably the disgnosis. Then I read the written report and it is completely different from the lies they told me!Turns out I get depressed for 2 straight days and the cat just has a minor uper respiratory infection.I go back for a “complimentary” second opinion and they try to charge me again! Then the new DR. clarifies it is an upper respiratory infection…. Not herpes or a nasal tumor…..Says tumors are going to happen and that he might get one later on…. I asked if he was more prone to it and she said that illnesses like kidney disease are usually a sign the cat has lived a good life as they apprear when cats are older. Wth? So depressing.Dr. Jacobs was so rude last time too: Saying my cat had MITES when he only had a little of junk after I rescued him from a trailer home. She left the room yelling JESUS!Ughhh this vet sucks! Stay away from them.

First visit for our Maggie Mae with Dr Longo, Kate vet tech, and Jaire at the front desk. We were warmly welcomed and checked in. The facility is clean with a lovely welcome board naming each pet coming in today. Kate was friendly and professional, taking a thorough history and sitting on the floor to let Maggie develop trust. Dr Longo was knowledgeable and clearly communicated each step of the exam and treatment plan. Highly recommend!

After having multiple problems with another vet practice (not a VCA location) we went to for 8+ years, we made the switch to VCA Firehouse and we were very pleased with our experience. The front desk is super friendly, the availability for appointments is so nice, and they often have next day if needed. The vet techs were great, and Dr. Melberg was so kind, passionate and through! We also liked that we didn't have to wait long for our appointment time slot and the actual appointment wasn't drawn out and lengthy. We will definitely be back and fully trust VCA. Thank you for a stress free appointment!

Took my puppy in for her first wellness exam post adoption and they encouraged me to get lepto vaccine. They didn’t tell me any side effects until they were literally administering it.. AS 1 woman is giving the shot the other says “side effects include swollen mouth and vomiting/diarrhea.” Had they told me this prior I would’ve said no because we’ve only been together 3 weeks and it’s been really stressful. Despite this making me really upset & uncomfortable I thought “it’s probably safe, they’re experts.”It’s been over 48 hours and my dog has not been the same since… no appetite and severe behavioral changes. Did lots of research and this vaccine is KNOWN for causing side effects.. Multiple dog owners in the area have had similar experiences to mine and there are multiple fb pages with tens of thousands of people talking about the dangers of this vaccine.. :/My only hope is that we wake up tomorrow and she’s herself. If not, I’ll be calling in the morning to figure out what solutions we can come up with to rectify this. I’m really worried for her health and my own & hoping we can come to an agreement that makes it clear VCA cares about the well being of their clients. Especially when said clients weren’t able to provide informed consent. And by informed consent I mean - I was not made aware of the full spectrum of risks associated with the vaccine (or any) before they administered it.

We took our dog for an annual wellness visit after moving to Denver this past month. Everyone who took care of us was kind, thoughtful, and friendly. Special shout-out to DR Jacob’s and Kate who made our dog feel special with treats and love. Grateful to have a vet center we trust while navigating a new place.

This is long overdue as I've been bringing both my cats here for a few years, but my senior kitty has had some health problems recently that have really brought to light how fantastic the VCA team is! My older cat developed hyperthyroidism earlier this year and was shortly after diagnosed with early-stage kidney disease. We've figured out the right dosage and diet to keep him healthy and although there have been a few bumps in the road (he stopped eating shortly before Christmas), their quick responses and vast knowledge have helped us get back on track. I am so grateful to the Firehouse office staff for their friendliness, clear communication, and overall helpful attitudes. CareClub has genuinely been a lifesaver for my little man!

Very nice staff from the time you walk in the pre visit with the vet and walking out the door I have been coming here since they opened up!

VCA Firehouse is awesome! We had a great wellness visit with Dr. Melberg, who took extra time at the beginning of the appointment to bond with my reactive pittie, Luna. This little bit of extra effort on his part made the visit go extremely smooth! Luna warmed up to him quickly, and thus was comfortable with the poking, prodding, and vaccinations. Our vet tech, Kate (maybe Katie?), was friendly, kind and super helpful.Anytime I call the clinic, the front desk answers promptly with no hold. Theyre super helpful with scheduling, answering questions, and even expediting prescription authorization with chewy (although they’re pretty fast with this as is). They’re very transparent about costs and I find they are reasonable and don’t pressure you to incur treatment costs that aren’t needed. When my dog was bitten, the clinic had me send pictures of the bite to assess visually if she should come in before her next appointment which had been scheduled a couple days out. I appreciated their helpfulness to provide reasonable guidance and not charge me an arm and a leg to go an animal hospital or add another visit. (My dog ended being fine anyway with no issues!)Lastly, they offer happy visits Where you can bring your dog by to get pets and treats to get more comfortable with the clinic. We haven’t tried this yet but definitely will soon!Highly recommend this place!!

I can’t say enough amazing things about VCA Firehouse! Dr. Adams is our go-to vet! She is the sweetest veterinarian and my pets are so calm under her loving & gentle care. When she is not available, Dr. Longo & Dr. Martinez have been wonderful! Ryann at the front desk also deserves a shout out. I have personally pushed my appointments back so that I came on a day where both Ryann and Dr Adams were there!! They love my fur babies as if they were their own and that is everything I could ask for! Thank you VCA Firehouse!<3 Freckles, Wilbur & Madelynn
