The people here are such quarter nazis. I have to have them for laundry and it’s like I’m a criminal every time I come to exchange cash for quarters. I know from people working at other banks, that quarters can be gotten in more than $20 at a time. Order more quarters, it’s customer service. I’ll be changing my account especially to a different institution with the poor customer service and all the new fees being implemented.

We recently purchased a home. Kevin Kendall was extremely helpful guiding us through this complicated and confusing transaction. He made everything go smoothly and we couldn't be happier with the service we received from him. I can most enthusiastically recommend him to anyone buying a house.

Charmaine was over the top excellent!! My fiancé and I were first time home buyers and she took so much stress away from the process. Breaking things down in a very easy to understand way. She has strong integrity and I felt like she treated me like I was her own daughter. No hidden fees or fine print, everything was very straight forward and above board. Charmaine also helped us after hours and on weekends, getting offer letters etc. to us asap and she even came to our closing!! It was great to have her there step by step - thanks Charmaine!

I've been a member of Westerra since 2012. My house flooded and they were the only bank to loan me money to repair the damage. So grateful. I also have a mortgage through them. This week, online banking has not worked at all. I check my bank account and make important transfers every day. Having no online access is REALLY inconvenient.

I had been with Westerra for around ten years with a perfect record (credit, checking, and savings). I put a charge on the card and forgot about it and missed one payment. They reported me to the credit unions as soon as they could and refused to do any good will gestures to remove the one time missed payment. Their employees are actually threatened to not help people who make the same mistake as me. I thought that credit unions were supposed to treat their members better than banks, not worse. Stay away from Westerra unless you'll never make a mistake. They almost seemed pleased that they dropped my credit from 800-600.

My experience with the loan officer Shawna Rice was a pleasurable experience. She kept in contact with me throughout most of the process. Things didn't go bad until after Shawna stepped out and the closing began with First American title. First, the meeting for the closing was scheduled in office but they sent the notary to my house instead. Next, First American Title sent out checks to the Creditors (Debt consolidation refinance) instead of electronic fund transfer. I've called the Credit Union that has my truck title several times and the still haven't received the check from First American Title Company. Now I'm late because of pure incompetence on First American Title part. Either use EFT or certified Check to pay off people's debt. Better yet, give the person the money and let them do it themselves.

Absolutely worst financial institution I have ever dealt with. Bait and switched us on our HELOC costing us thousands of dollars. Getting a hold of anyone is impossible.

Never under any circumstances should you join this credit union. I have been plegued with fraud alerts through Westerra. When I speak with Westerra call center and supervision, the supervisors blame Falcon the third party fraud people. I am of the opinion that Westerra hired the third party and Westerra is the controlling entity and I am a member of Westerra. Westerra does not support the member as the important factor. You can do far better than Westerra. Tyr Air Academy, Security Service, Navy Federal or Ent. These folks never let me down.

Since they updated their online banking system this bank has been a nightmare for me. They communicated poorly about the switchover, which cancelled all internal transfers. Now it dropped an automatic internal transfer again causing expensive late fees again for the fourth time in 5 months. Now I will have to spend more time calling and getting bounced around their customer service again to get it fixed. Today I can’t make any transfers, can’t do billpays because I just get a red spinning circle. I am moving my accounts elsewhere.

So so so disappointed to be writing this one! Been a very loyal westerra customer for 10 years just about but Im closing up my account asap... Back in December I noticed a charge on my statement (that I did not make) for a whopping $650! Called westerra, they made it sound like they were going to handle it. Fast forward to 2 months later, westerra has just sent me a copy of the completely fake "invoice" that this fraudster sent them as all the proof they need that the charge is indeed valid. Case closed I guess! Thats as hard as westerra wants to fight with a fraudster and with visa, who has also accepted the very fake invoice as sufficient evidence against my dispute. So I just got totally hung out to dry and left blowin in the wind by westerra, who I have always though was "one of the good ones". $650 is a lot of money to leave your members on the hook for, its such a shame that you are willing to feed us to the wolves and not advocate on our behalf as members when we get scammed. This invoice that was accepted as proof was so sloppy and fake it was ridiculous, westerra reps acknowledged as much to me, and yet....... I still got ripped off. And westerra says "i dunno, file a police report..." (because the police will definitely care!) Thanks westerra, you're a real one!

My boyfriend and I (who live separately and have separate accounts) could only get $20 total quarters through the drive through as she would not service us as separate customers in the drive through even though I have been the passenger doing transactions in the past. We had to go in and wait in line again for me to get my $20 in quarters for laundry. Additionally we had called beforehand and received confirmation that we could get as many quarters as we wanted. Additionally, the online banking is horrible. Yesterday I had no access to any of my online banking information, and I have never been able to activate the points program despite multiple tries and calls that just tell me “the system is down” even though my calls have been months and weeks apart.
