Best Western Ptarmigan Lodge is a charming and well-loved hotel located right on Lake Dillon, offering a scenic and convenient setting for guests. The rooms are newly remodeled, clean, and feature comfortable beds, making for a cozy stay. Although some rooms lack air conditioning, ceiling fans and openable windows help keep the rooms comfortable during warmer months. Many guests appreciate the beautiful lake view and the hotel's prime location near Dillon Amphitheater and the bike/walk path, making it ideal for attending concerts or exploring the outdoors. The breakfast at the lodge is highly praised, with a good spread that includes waffles, eggs, bacon or sausage, bagels, cereals, yogurt, and various options like gluten-free and sugar-free choices. The staff is generally friendly and attentive, especially during check-in and breakfast service. Some guests mention the need for more charging plugs and more friendly check-in staff, but overall, the service receives positive remarks. The lodge has a cozy, old-school motel vibe, with a small dining room offering a view of the lake. Guests enjoy the peaceful mountain atmosphere, and many look forward to returning. Additional amenities like a sauna and hot tub are available, although some guests did not have time to use them. Overall, Best Western Ptarmigan Lodge provides a comfortable, scenic, and convenient stay for visitors to the area.
The rooms are newly remodeled, the location is perfect with the lake right outside. The breakfast was a good spread and they refilled everything very diligently. The only thing I would want are more charging plugs and the check-in staff to be a little more friendly. Will be back for sure.

A fun hotel in the mountains, it felt like summer camp. Amazing breakfast!! The hotel is right next to the Dillon Amphitheater, that was cool to listen to the concert.

Just stayed one night, but it was a great spot. Older Best Western, but super clean room and the beds were comfortable. We stayed for a show at the Dillon Amphitheatre and it was literally right across the street, as well as access to Lake Dillon and the bike/walk path. Really awesome location!
