The rooms are newly remodeled, the location is perfect with the lake right outside.
The breakfast was a good spread and they refilled everything very diligently.
The only thing I would want are more charging plugs and the check-in staff to be a little more friendly.
Will be back for sure.

⭐ DO NOT STAY HERE ⭐
We had a terrible experience at this hotel. We were given a room in the basement that was very musty and smelled strongly of mold and mildew. The rooms have NO A/C, so there is very little air circulation — making the musty, moldy smell even worse when no one has stayed in them for a while.
If your room is off a hallway, the only way to get any air is to leave your door open — which feels UNSAFE — or crack open a tiny window that doesn’t help much. We informed the hotel staff within 2 MINUTES of entering the room that we could not stay there because of how unhealthy and unsafe it felt. The only thing they offered us was a FAN, which did nothing to fix the damp, stale air. They refused to give us a refund or any reasonable solution, even though we did not use the room at all.
It is completely unacceptable to rent out damp, unhealthy rooms with NO AIR CONDITIONING and then deny any accountability. I hope management takes this seriously and does something about it — but I strongly recommend you STAY ELSEWHERE to avoid the same experience.

We love Ptarmigan Lodge and have stayed here several times. It is the perfect location on Lake Dillon. It's an old school style motel with clean rooms and comfortable beds. Very polite staff when we called to make reservations who were welcoming when we arrived. Nice breakfast each morning in a small dining room with a view of the lake. Good selection of foods - waffles, eggs, bacon or sausage, bagels and cream cheese, cold cereals, oatmeal packets, packaged pastries, yogurt, coffee, juice, milk. Choices also included soy milk as well as gluten-free and sugar free options. Each time we check out we look forward to our next stay.

A fun hotel in the mountains, it felt like summer camp.
Amazing breakfast!!
The hotel is right next to the Dillon Amphitheater, that was cool to listen to the concert.

Just stayed one night, but it was a great spot. Older Best Western, but super clean room and the beds were comfortable. We stayed for a show at the Dillon Amphitheatre and it was literally right across the street, as well as access to Lake Dillon and the bike/walk path. Really awesome location!

The location for a concert is wonderful. However, there is no AC in the rooms and this old building gets very hot in the summer. Leaving windows open doesn’t help because you can hear I-70 traffic, and the traffic on the three local roads that sandwich this hotel. Very difficult to get quality sleep here in the summer without AC because of the noise.

No A/C in the rooms which can make them a little hot in the summer. There was a ceiling fan and screened openable windows to let in cold air though which helped. I have horrible insomnia and can't sleep if it's hot but with the windows open it was fine for even me. Outside of that, the service was friendly and great when I called. The breakfast was great with bacon and eggs (they said sometimes they do sausage instead of bacon) and lots of other options. Beautiful view of the lake during the day. Sauna and hot tub that I didn't have time to use. Took 1 star off for the lack of AC but still worth the price in my opinion. The room smelled a little funny when we first got in but opened the windows and it went away

Very hot rooms with no ac in the summer. There was a loud concert nearby that kept my kids up. Basic solid rooms.

I visited this hotel in the summer, but it is not difficult to see that this is definitely the best choice for skiing in the winter. There is a locker for storing ski equipment at the door, the hotel has a SPA, and the door faces the lake, which is definitely a beautiful view worth praising.

There is no A/C in this hotel, and we were never advised of this. When we called the front desk to check on this due to a hot, stuffy room, their recommendation was to go to the office and get a box fan from them. Our room was ground level facing the parking lot, so we would have had to have our windows open facing cars that were pulling in and out. Needless to say, we left the room around 8pm and thankfully loved to another hotel despite having to pay double lodging that night.

Upon arrival we wanted to Check-in and have the bill split and they said no worries, Just do it when you check out. when we went to check out the next morning at 8 AM.They said oh Well your card was already charged at six thirty this morning and the price was different than what we were told the night before.
I thought the hotel was very clean. The outdoor areas were filled with nice plants.
You couldn't get a better view right across from dillon lake. A couple of picnic tables with umbrellas were fantastic for sitting down enjoying our dinner. It was very quiet.
Rooms: A little outdated, but very clean.
Safety: Very quiet. Everybody was very pleasant that you ran into.
Walkability: You had Dillon lake right across the street so you could walk around that.
Food & drinks: The breakfast was fantastic. Nice selection, very clean. The coffee was delicious.
