The easy 0.6-mile loop trail is perfect for a quick hike, taking about 10-15 minutes to complete. Visitors often enjoy family outings and encounter friendly wildlife, including many chipmunks and squirrels. The overlook provides a stunning backdrop for family photos, even on drizzly days when the views are uniquely captivating. While it can get busy around sunset, the experience is definitely worth it. However, guests are reminded to obey signs and not feed the animals. Pit toilets are available but may not be in the best condition. Our trips to Breakenridge always include a quick hike at Sapphire Point. Beautiful scenery, friendly people, family outings. Pit toilets are typical not in good condition.

Great Overlook! gorgeous views and nice scenic hike. Bring along some nuts to feed the 100s of squirrels roaming around.
