We had our boats docked at Doc's Marina for the last 6 years. Without this service, the quality of life in SW Colorado would be greatly reduced. At 75, this is a great service for seniors. Thanks Doc

Camping here from Arizona, rented a pontoon and had a great time. Owner could not be more accommodating and friendly. Everyone was very helpful and it made for a great experience, we will be back for sure!

This summer I had the joy of having my late father's little sailboat in the water at Doc's Marina on McPhee Reservoir. Such a friendly, family atmosphere--my guests were always treated so well, and there were little gestures of kindness toward me at every turn. When I couldn't find a cockpit plug in Cortez, Doc put one of his own in. I could always be sure of being taken out to my buoy quickly, or in after-hours given use of means to do so. One of the nicest things was knowing that, in bad weather, my boat was being checked on or even watched overnight. Being a solo sailor, I knew if I didn't return to the marina at the end of the day, Doc or Jennifer would come looking for me. I highly recommend Doc's Marina!

Doc'Marina is best ! Its family run operation and they treat you like one of their own. We can confirm this with having our houseboat on a mooring and ski boat on the Lake 3 to 5 days a weeks. Thanks again Doc and family for being a part of McPhee magic!

I live in Dolores and have used the marina since it has been open. I have gotten to know Doc and his family at the marina and observed the day to day goings on for a few years now. I have the highest regard for Doc and his family and believe he operates the facility with great personal integrity and a spirit of customer service. That said, operating a marina in southwest Colorado can present some great challenges due to changing weather conditions on a day to day basis. The very nature of boats and motors and user experience can play a role as well. That said, I’ve learned that I can depend on Doc and his family to provide the greatest service possible.

We had planned to rent a pontoon and made a reservation in person for a few days later. After spending the morning packing us and our dogs, we were met with a mess at the marina. The pontoon we were to be on was missing front railing, no ladder and engine held precariously on by plywood. With two dogs and plans to swim, as we stated when we made the reservation, that wasn’t going to work. Another couple had rented a smaller pontoon that wouldn’t run and no one was there to fix it. A third pontoon was available and a bully of a man decided it was his after he had no longer wanted a ski boat and had not paid. The poor young girl running the counter had no means of handling all of this and we felt horrible for her! Got our money back and left! What a shame this place is such a hot mess as it’s the only rental option on McPhee! By the looks of the place it won’t continue for long. Avoid if you can!

We came down from Arizona to visit family and my husband wanted to go fishing and asked me to check into renting a pontoon boat so I was able to text and get it reserved while we were out with family and didn’t even have to go there until we were ready! We hope to plan another trip maybe next summer.

We had such a great time! Thanks, Doc, for the pontoon and tube rental! Our boys had a blast on the tube and did some fun cliff diving. We appreciate having you there!

This review is not about Doc’s Marina but it’s owner. While on our way to a camping trip in Sedona we had a blowout and this guy in a Jeep stops in the rain to help and completely takes charge. He not only changed our tire but seeing the cargo compartment was full of camping gear volunteered to take the muddy, flat tire into Cortez and gave us instructions to meet him at “Big O Tires” in town. The tire was repaired at Doc’s expense I assumed as Big O refused to take any payment and we were on our way thanks to this stranger who said his name was Doc and he owned a Marina just outside of Delores, CO. My guess is the Marina is a reflection of its owner and like him, merits a 5 star rating.

Beautiful scenery, lovely and friendly people all around the lake, and great rentals of boats, paddle boards, kayaks, tubes and wake boards! Worth everything for a fun day with family and friends.

This was such a friendly business! They went the extra mile to help us. When they saw that we had way too much to carry, they let us borrow a little boat to tow our stuff in free of charge. It is a family-owned business and they were all wonderful. We enjoyed our paddle boards!
