Excellent service, weird room layout out, glass doors seemed to be a security risk, Easy walk to downtown.

Lady receptionist started questioning why I was there and tried making me pay a deposit which I've never had to do through Expedia. Thankfully she eventually let off. It was 5 am and I had my gf and her daughter with me after a long day of work.

The location is awesome and down the street from downtown. The pool and jaccuzi are indoor and open 9-9, so you can definitely hear children shouting sometimes, which could interrupt your sleep or if you're looking to have a late soak. However, the staff is friendly, accommodating and great. The breakfast was great and my husband and I appreciated the complimentary happy hour drinks, very nice! There was plenty of room for parking so this was a good hotel, plus it's pet friendly. Very clean and ideal for a balcony breakfast (careful of the door auto locking behind you) nice views and you don't hear the train at all.

This place is amazing! Nestled close to downtown, you can walk just about anywhere! Friendly staff! Brandon and Karen are exceptional! If you hate the sound of children's laughter, don't come here! Best place ever.

This place has it all: excellent continental breakfast, free happy hour from 5:30 - 7:30, pool and hot tub, friendly staff, and awesome location. The only complaint I had was how hot the rooms were. It was freezing outside and I had to open the window! The heaters are loud too, but honestly i wouldn’t complain about it.Rooms: The rooms surround the indoor pool which is nice. Some are accessible from the outside which I would not prefer but I’m sure those are just as good.Walkability: End of the Main Street. Simple to just get out and start walking to all the shops.Food & drinks: Excellent continental breakfast with lots of options. They also have free happy hour from 5:30-7:30. 2 tickets per person per night!

This is our go-to in Durango. Right in downtown but quiet, very dog-friendly.The breakfast buffet is typical for a chain, but has good potatoes and a waffle maker. The indoor pool is lovely and their happy hour is a bonus.

This place has so much potentially going for it… HOWEVER… the downsides are huge enough to tank the whole experience.IF you don’t have small children I highly recommend staying far away from this place.First the pros: nice rooms with balconies, free drinks happy hour, pleasant staff, passable buffet style breakfast, nice indoor pool and Hot tub that are actually functional. And The cons: the pool/hot tub hours are 9-9 and are packed with kids screaming their heads off the entire time, so forget about any sort of an after skiing/dinner/drinks soak with your friends, there’s just not gonna be any room for you and it’s not gonna be pleasant. Honestly an adults only late night hours could help with this, but it still wouldn’t help with the fact that the layout of the hotel has almost every room opening into the balcony of the pool area and the French doors do absolutely nothing to muffle any of the LOUD, even amplified/echoing pool guest’s screams from open to close. If you’re a late night person, you WILL NOT be sleeping in, and if you’re a nap taker after an adventure filled morning or afternoon “no you’re not”.TL;dr “MARCO….. POLO” will be haunting my dreams for the next week.I mentioned all this to the hotel when they asked how my visit was and basically told me “yeah, that sucks huh?”

A hotel with friendly staff, happy hour, a yummy breakfast, and a WORKING HOT TUB — these things are rare in 2023. I actually loved how close our room was to the pool area, if you have kids it’s really convenient. I just thought the architecture and whole layout was so cute. Plus, it’s in a great location, in walking distance to a lot of things. Thanks so much for a great stay, we will absolutely be back :)

This hotel had it all! Walking distance to all the attractions, especially the Polar Express. Complimentary breakfast that is out of this world... from the great coffee to bakery items to fresh fruit (including blueberries , strawberries ?, raspberries, bananas, oranges ? and more), real scrambled eggs, bacon ?, sausage, potatoes, biscuits and gravy, waffles , yogurt and an amazingly friendly and accommodating staff that even helps with office services and is available 24/7. There's a bus stop right around the corner for a little red bus that takes you anywhere for 50 cents. Then there's the heated, indoor pool and jacuzzi open 9 'til 9; and a workout center and laundry (open 24/7). There are dog-friendly rooms that open to the outdoors; and a little dog park. But there's more! A complimentary cocktail hour from 5:30 to 7:30. Non-alcoholic beverages are available, of course.

We highly recommend a visit to Durango, a charming little American town with great energy! Our stay at the hotel was pleasant, the staff were pleasant but nothing more. However, we had a leak in our room (in the toilet) and they were very responsive: someone came very quickly to see what was going on, even if they weren't able to fix the problem immediately. We had a comfortable room (well, I found a long hair in the sheets, but that's the kind of thing that can happen) with a lovely view of the mountains and the steam train we took the next day!The hotel offers its guests two drinks a day during happy hour, which is very much appreciated. Breakfast was just right. There's also an indoor pool. Note that this is bound to cause a damp smell in the hotel, so if this kind of detail is important to you, it's not insignificant :-)

perfect hotel if you want to chase or ride the Durango and Silverton train. easy walking distance from the depot. very good continental breakfast. more like a small buffet. eggs, sausage, biscuits and gravy, make your own waffles, bagels, muffins, fruit, etc. rooms had a microwave, and fridge. all room entrances are enclosed so you don't freeze in the winter. they had printers next to the elevator. no problems with service. Air conditioner/heater was next to the computer desk so you would freeze or cook when it came on. temp was hard to control as well. A distinct lack of outlets in this hotel room. there was one outlet with a plug strip attached in the back corner behind a chair. all outlets were difficult to get to.

Friendly staff, easy check-in, clean, laundry facilities (have soap, dryer sheets and will give you change. Costs a little less than $4 total to wash n dry, soap is a dollar I believe) pool area is clean and has a whirlpool/ hot tub, outside is clean and free of debris, feels safeRooms: Clean, some have great views of the mountains with a balcony, some right off the pool area( which in the middle of the night the lobby/ pool area light comes thru the door windows and makes you think it's morning), microwave and fridge.Nearby activities: Walkable to scenic train station( train yard literally right behind hotel), lots of shops, restaurants, a little local movie theater, distillery's, pot shops, liquor stores and great gormet popcorn shop ectSafety: Area feels very safeWalkability: Walkable to everything you would want and need on vacation.Food & drinks: They have a happy hour at the hotel with free drink tickets at check in and hot and cold breakfast options.
