The Durango Community Recreation Center is a great community rec center with everything anyone needs. It offers a huge indoor pool, which is the best pool around, with lap lanes, a leisure pool for floating, a water slide, and sick diving boards. There is also a cute kids' section like a playground in water, with a frog slide. The warm, heated water allows for year-round swimming and is perfect for families. The facility has something for everyone beyond the pool. It includes an indoor track, racquetball and basketball courts, a large indoor climbing wall, and a full gym with free weights, weight machines, and cardiovascular equipment like treadmills, bikes, and stair machines, some offering amazing views of Durango. There is also an aerobic studio, with many free classes offered, a youth games area, community meeting rooms, and an outdoor amphitheater. It is a perfect place to visit, relieving stress and adding to a perfect day to relax. Members and visitors are very pleased with the service and plan to keep going back.
Always recommend. They have everything anyone needs. I had foot and ankle surgery. Their life guards watched me and made sure I was OK. I was very pleased with today's service. And I plan to keep going back.

The pool was super fun! We loved the high diving board and the water slide as well as the lazy river/whirlpool.

We could spend all day here… from racquetball courts to climbing walls to killer aquatic center! great for all ages.
