How this company stays in business is beyond me and they don't deserve even one star. I can only hope that Star Link will run them out of business. Their customer service is the very worst I have ever encountered. It is extremely painful to call for information and then ask for a supervisor only to hear the same robot style dialog. Why do they bother answering the phone? We plowed through 3 agonizing years of using their so-called high speed service which allowed us to access email and browse the Internet. Don't even think about viewing a U-tube video or heaven forbid, a movie because streaming was an impossibility. I'm so relieved it is over.

DO NOT USE. There are betterr options.To start its a 2 year contract with 600 up front to buy there junk. Service is under 100 mgs. Office staff genuinely tries to rip you off. After your 2 year contract if yiu dont pay them every 45 days they cut your Service and terminate you as a customer. Causing you to start a new contract and buy new equipment. Do not use!

Waste of money. Soooooo slooooow. Can't stream, can't browse, can't even use internet for wifi phone calls. Starlink is vastly superior, a much better value for your money.

The service is terrible and they rope you into a two year contract. They charge you to have someone come "fix" their extremely slow internet and nothing changes. It's $300 to cancel!

Hughesnet is a terrible service. The speeds are good. The service technician who installed the dish and comes to service it is a nice guy. He deserves a raise as no doubt he sees a lot of unhappy customers like myself. But the service is absolutely horrible outside of those two points. The first modem they gave me broke within weeks. They gave me a new one which has worked well for awhile. But they take more data than you use. I have consistently documented this and reported it to customer service. I purchase 3GBs of data, and am given 1.8GB. I present this as simple math, and the reps consistently argue with me for 30 - 50 minutes before I get tired. They typically give me 1 or 2GB when I complain, but I don't want free data, I just want to receive the data I pay for. The outsourced, overseas customer service reps are impossible to talk to. The chat reps have 2 or 3 chats going on at a time, so they take 3 - 9 minutes to reply each time. And when the do, it's a short and irrelevant response, so you have to wait another 3 - 9 minutes. Go elsewhere if you can.
