This is not a THRIFT STORE, this is a "used rip off store". The prices are outrageous (easily $3-$10 more than a normal thrift store). They write in permanent marker on the items which is not removeable and ruins the item! It is organized poorly, actually it is a mess. Save your hard-earned money and go to a real thrift store, or better yet just buy it new for the same price. Their only saving grace is their staff, which are very nice.

One of the best thrift stores I’ve visited. Be sure to stop in to the Humane Society next door and give the animals some love before shopping. You can see the the real time benefits of the charity you’re supporting!

This is a nice thrift store, kind of upscale. Prices were ok.I found a little booklet about the pueblos near Santa Fe, a couple of postcards from New Orleans, and some silicone earplugs. I spent a couple of bucks. My friend bought a geode for $5 and a bedside/end table that was in good condition for $10.We were allowed to bring our dogs into the store, which should be fun, but my dog hates to shop. She pulls me around, trying to find the exit door. The lady working the cash register was very nice.

Just called to ask if they had a chair with arms and the man who answered told me, "I can't do your shopping for you. You have to come in." He could have been a little nicer and maybe asked me a couple more questions before being so rude. This experience will be prohibiting me from shopping there in the future.

I'm from out of state and saw a kitten that LPCHS had at Creature Comforts and fell in love with him. When talking to the employees at CC they said that LPCHS takes online applications and it's a bit long but it's also pretty thorough. At the end of the application it states that out of county and out of state applications may be denied. I was heartbroken but my friend that was with me convinced me to still apply, "You never know". Not even 20 minutes after submitting my application LPCHS called to ask if I would be still interested about the kitten... Hell Yeah!!! Good think I submitted my application when I did because they informed me that not even 5 minutes of submitting my application they received another for the kitten. I know exactly who submitted their application after me cause I saw that person playing with the kitten right after me. Glad to say that this kitten is spoiled rotten.

I really want to support this store and the humane society, and they have some unique items. The store is clean and well organized, but the prices are just outrageous. $3 for a broken basket, $7 for a small table runner, $8 for a chipped plate? Often see the same items sitting for weeks.

Great place to shop for second hand items, furniture included, while supporting a worthy cause.

Walked through dog kennel. Then went to the thrift store next door. Pretty nice set up.... traffic patterns around this area and Walmart are rather awkward - be extra careful

This is a fantastic store! So clean and we'll set up. You can find anything you need. And it helps all the animals. Staff is so friendly and helpful.

The thrift store is the best! Displayed nicely, priced fairly (sales go to the animals!), and super nice staff and volunteers. I scored on a Crate and Barrel sectional in perfect shape for under $700. The other sectionals I shopped for were between 2k and 5k. I will say the parking lot can get a bit crazy.

This was my number one place to come to every time i came to Durango. The last few times I've been, the prices have continued to rise. I understand that this is what's happening in our world right now although there are reasonably prices and then those prices where you can say, I can buy that new that's not broken or has wear to it.
