Staff are wonderful, however, if you ever have issues with fraud. Your accounts will be restricted limiting access to the free use of your debit card, and most other benefits offered to regular customers. I withdrew my money and closed my account with them for this reason. Sometimes people make mistakes. And you will not receive forgiveness from this organization.

Their stupid app is driving me crazy. I repeatedly tried to deposit checks over 2 days while receiving a message stating "we are unable to connect to our systems. Please check your internet connection or try again later"after each attempt. At the end of the second day I received a message stating the checks had already been submitted, but they never posted. The automated chat is no help. I was left waiting for over an hour for a real human to answer. Steve assured me my checks would post by the end of business. After 6 days I called the corporate line and no one could find any record of my attempt to deposit the checks. I was directed to the local branch to manually deposit them.Several days later, another check, another attempt, same messages. This time however, the check did post the next day. Today, 2 weeks from the start, another check to deposit. This time I'm told repeatedly that the amount does not match the amount detected. If it weren't for Donna at the local branch and my serious dislike of traditional banks, I would be looking elsewhere.

I give 2 stars only because one can utilize their products if one has money to finance themselves via CD loans and the staff in the Durango office are nice. I give only 2 stars because I have banked there for what 3 decades now and recently was I feel, discriminated against by them. I planned for a year prior to moving forward with a purchase needed to return to work. I needed a pick up. The CU told me the requirements for financing and I placed my order. When the vehicle arrived and I presented everything needed ie appropriate credit score, employment verification etc, the CU told me " you don't need that much truck." They also told me " we don't go by your credit score." Their BS cost me a $500,000 a year job. I left six bucks in my account for them to service indefinitely. I am unbelievable offended by them, beyond being without an adult sized income. Thanks again so much CO of CO.

I just recently wrote a quite unfavorable review for this company because I was unable to get in touch with anyone at the call center without an extended wait time or to get my local loan officer to return my calls. That said, I almost immediately received a voicemail and a phone call from Christopher Hobscheidt, who gave me a profuse apology, all the information I needed, and contact info if I had further questions or concerns.I was blown away by how concerned and open to helping Chris was. Therefore, I have deleted my critical review and I am now leaving a much more favorable one. Thanks, Chris. You rock, and I will continue as a member of Credit Union of Colorado.

I've had nothing but postive experiences with the Crediti Union of Colorado. Their staff is very friendly and efficient in providing services. I recently had an identity theft scare and they met with me to make some changes to my accounts so that my accounts were not only safe but I felt reassured. Thank you CU of CO.

loved this bank when it was locally based, very frustrating entity now; online payments often nonfunctional, long phone call wait, cannot recommend CUofCO since merger

New to the area, I am searching for a local bank. I will cross this option off my list because of the reviews. Not just the reviews, but particularly the tone and perspective shown in the responses. In all, I cannot rate the business since I won't be going there. Two stars is only about how it all appears from here.

Terrible communication between main office and local office. Awful infrastructure, no local office direct call line. Rude employees in the headquarters.

I've had nothing but positive experiences with CUofCO. Yes they don't provide a local phone number, and yes the wait to reach someone in Denver takes a long time, but their mobile app allows you to text someone through Zendesk. Anyone you talk to through Zendesk can resolve your problems the same as if you called someone. I also have an auto loan through them, it was a very straightforward process.

I, too, wish they offered a local number, like they always did before the CU of CO buyout. I'm 32nd in line to speak to someone on the phone - it would be quicker to drive to my branch to simply ask my question. C'mon CU of CO - calling thru Denver to be put on hold for 30+ minutes just doesn't cut it. Be responsive to your Durango customers and provide a local number.
