I am a disabled American who requires a seizure trained service animal accompany me at all times. The Service Animal is a 5# dog that stays in a sling pressed to my body to monitor my heart beat, breathing and speech patterns, and body temperature. The Service Animal has been prescribed by both of my current VA doctors.I was denied service and fully discriminated against by an employee of the Durango Telluride Bud Company on December 19. The employee not only denied me access to the location, but proceeded to embarass me further by loudly arguing at me in front of other customers in line. I was told that if my "Service Dog was real I would have a card." When asking what card he was referring to, I was again obnoxiously and loudly told he "didnt know exactly but it was a card." He then told me that my Service Animal patch was fake and could be bought online by anyone. The Americans with Disabilities Act specifically states that a Service Animal does not require licensing or certification of any kind. Requiring this is an act of discrimination in itself. It is the equivalent of requiring a wheelchair to have a license plate. A Service Animal MUST be prescribed by a licensed physician or therapist.A business is legally permitted to ask two questions to a disbaled person presenting a Service Animal.1) Is that a Service Animal? 2) What service does that animal provide? That is all the ADA law allows. The law does not allow an employee to deny service after both of those questions have been answered. That is the literal definition of discrimination. The law most certainly does NOT require a Service Animal certification. That is a huge discrimination. There are websites that offer "service animal certification." They are fake and a known scam. Please research this, preferably before making policies that violate the Americans with Disabilities Act.The ironic part is the picture hanging in the lobby that makes mention of the Colorado law passed to prevent people from having fake service animals. One major reason for passing this law is the multitude of websites that now SELL "Service Animal Certification." The "card" that the employee is so hell bent on seeing..... I tried to point this out but he was on a horse too high for reasoning. It can be difficult enough for persons with disabilities to navigate daily activities. Making them feel bad for those disabilities, making the person feel inadequate because the disability is not visually noticeable, or being hostile and stand-offish just to make an incorrect point are all main reasons the Americans with Disabilities Act was created in the first place.I would like to speak directly with the manager. I would like to take 20-30 minutes to read the Americans with Disabilities Act together so that you may have a proper understanding of how to enforce this.I also want a sincere apology from the employee that discriminated against me. His behavior and mannerisms were appalling. Being denied access because of faulty policy is one thing, and something he should not be held accountable for. But treating someone like trash, talking down to them and calling their disability "a fake", while in front of other individuals, is unprofessional and says alot about the person as an individual. Please provide a time and name of person to call to speak with about this further.

Great place for me every time I go in and they're really good at taking care of their locals/regular customers. They have probably one of the best prices in town from everywhere else I've shopped at and their happy hour makes it that much more compelling for me to shop with them. Last time I went in Shawn (hopefully I'm spelling it correctly) took excellent care of me and was super friendly and patient with me when I was undecided on what to buy and made sure I got everything I was looking for at the best price, thank you again Shawn! I'll always keep coming back here.

Expect to walk in and staff just to stare at you blankly. No hello, Hi, or anything, just stares at you until he nods at your pocket and you get the idea to give him your I.D.Very turned off by the whole place, vibe, and customer service. PLUS they have expensive and mis-marketed prices....not sure really what is going on with this place, considering Rocky Mtn is across the street, better prices, better service.Young guy tried to sell me a case of joints and said they were $25. Upon ringing up, he gave over a $40 total.... I asked why and even he wasn't sure, but "maybe it was just the percentage?".... Would Not Recommend. Needs work.

Good reviews are by employees, friends or one timers just passing through.Watch out for the pre-rolls and cheap deals. That's the worst product they can't sell otherwise. If your lips go numb, that's dirty product. Stop using it immediately.Cleanest options are live resin, natural terp vapes. But that's if you want to pay ridiculous prices. It's hard to find a dispensary with integrity, this isn't one of them.

Go to google, put in telluride bud, company, Dirango and get taken to the Telluride website where whatever you order has to be picked up in Telluride instead of Durango pretty bad service. Pretty bad design pretty bad system pretty bad products……

Clean and well-stocked store. I wish that I remembered the name of my budtender because he was very friendly and knowledgeable. I typically stop at a different dispensary when I visit Durango, but decided to try out Telluride Bud Company. This was a better experience and pricing. I will be back the next time I visit!

Generally good but Colorado's weed laws need updating as does their DMV office. Renewing your license shouldn't be an ordeal and neither should buying cannabis

Wow. I've been happily loyal to this company for 3 years. I voiced a concern over the new no dog policy, specifically the additional sign inside indicating how they can prosecute if you present your dog as a service animal falsely. Seemed excessive and threatening a little bit. Such a remarkably stark change. I don't care if my dog can go in or not (although he Loved it for the 10 minutes we were there). My concerns were dismissed. The bud tender raised his voice, overtalked me, quickly changed the topic and was incredibly rude. He did ask what else I needed "this evening" at 8:15 in the morning. I'll never go back. There's a dispensary every few blocks. It costs way less to retain a customer than market to and obtain a new customer. Foundational piece to Customer Service.
