I wish I could give this post office zero stars. Every visit never ceases to amaze me. The people that work there are both retarded and rude. I didn’t know that it was possible to be both, but they nail it!

If I could give this place zero stars I would! Just went to the post office at 7 pm to use the kiosk and it says on the door that the lobby closes at 7:30pm. I have run by this discrepancy of posted hours as opposed to when they’re actually open many times! Also, I’ll get a text saying that a package was delivered when nothing was delivered. Then several days later the package will show up. And often, I will look at my informed delivery email to see what mail is coming in that day and many times the mail pieces shown don’t come for several days. I’ve even had coupons delivered that were expired by several weeks. This place is a mess and very frustrating to work with! I try so hard not to utilize them, but sometimes you don’t have a choice.

I sure wish there were other options in Durango. Every time I interact with an employee at this location, I leave feeling frustrated and unresolved. Tragic, truly tragic!

Snail mail? Horrible! Horrible! The Pony Express was probably better.
Packages don’t arrive and sometimes get returned. I had to pay twice to pick up the package that never arrived. I can’t get through locally with their automated system or without tracking number to even file a complaint! Guess they don’t want to hear from their customers.

I’m sure that the employees are doing their best, but I have packages lost frequently. I was supposed to have 3 packages delivered this Saturday and received a notification that they were held at the customer’s request. I did not request this, it seems like they’re too lazy to walk up my flat driveway to drop them off. I went to pick them up at the office where they were supposedly being held, but they had no idea where any of the packages are.
It was a one of a kind item I had ordered, so now I’m out $50 and missing 2 birthday presents from my family. I know that the local employees are doing what they can, but I’m getting pretty sick of constantly missing mail.

I received notification that my package was undeliverable due to no recipient available at the time of delivery. NOT CORRECT. The service post person DID NOT COME BY THE ADDRESS....DID NOT LEAVE A NOTICE OF attempt. CALLED THE PO this morning and after 30 mins on hold was instructed the package will be delivered today. I asked if it was common practice to LIE about the delivery attempt and was instructed...the package will be delivered today. No explanation as to why the attempt was falsely made! Poor service Poor customer service......I have to give it 1 star because there is nothing less.

I don't know what the delivery persons problem is but I've recently had a major issue with them slamming packages down so hard that I can hear it from up an entire flight of stairs while sitting in my living room. I get important packages for my second job that I have to review for extra income. In the last 6 weeks I've had 3 packages thrown so hard that it damaged the actual product itself. Also one of the ladies that works the post office counter is rude! I called repeatedly trying to get ahold of the post office and when I show up there's not a soul in there being helped. Just a snotty rude employee, irritated I was there making her work. Y'all get paid better than I do and I don't treat my customers/clients like that!

Absolutely a joke. Went to get a passport. Their system can't even get online......absolute waist of my time for 2 hours. Had to rewrite the application process to come back and find out on top of that they can't even do their job....awesome

Old, dingy, and outdated. The building is depressing and the employees don’t make it much better. The posted open hours are not followed and sometimes even the lobby is locked. Long lines when it is open. Scheduled mail pickup will NOT happen and “failed delivery” items have disappeared more than once. Go to Hesperus or Mancos.

Tried to call during business hours on a Saturday. Simple questions on "why am I not getting mail?" and "who do I contact when mailbox is broken?" No answer - no machine. Why have a phone number? Are you open? Does anybody work there? Do I have to drive down the mountain to get simple answers?
