My mom was a customer of Depew Liquors since it first opened when I was a teenager and I continue to be a regular customer to this day. Love this store for the huge selection and the friendly family owners! Plus it's within walking distance from where I live now!

Easy to find, clean, decent prices. Downside is that they have a fairly limited selection of speciality liquors and liqueurs. I would have hoped for a better selection at a boutique liquor store.

I had my first overtly ageist experience today at the Edgewater Public Market. I went into Depew Liquor store to buy some wine. The price of the wine marked on the shelf was $19.00. The guy at the checkout said that will be $25.00. I said wait a minute. You can’t do that. The guy says “I can’t help it. I’m not the owner.” I said, “no you can’t charge me a different amount than what it says on the shelf.” He said, “it’s not my fault.” I said, “It’s not my fault and I want my money back and I am never coming in here again.” He said, “You are so rude. I said, “No, I’m not. You can’t do that. Just give me my money back and I will never come in here again.” Then another employee walks up and wants to get involved. I said, “Just give me my money back and you will never see me again.” She tells me that she can’t do a refund on a charge and has to give me cash. Then she warns me not to come back the next day and show the boss my credit card statement and try to get another refund. The guy who originally waited on me was rushing away and he said … wait for it…“you are so rude and so old.”I couldn’t believe he said that. No one has ever said that to me. Then, on top of things, my excellent retort was “I object!” “That is ageist!” It was so pathetic. I just left. But I’ll never be the same.I encourage people to avoid Depew Liquor because ageism is wrong.

Called and asked for a specific wine. The man working confirmed they had it, told the guy working i would be there in five minutes, showed up at 9:51 and he had closed early. Find this completely unprofessional and will not be returning to this store due to this experience or lack there of i should say. This occurred today 3/20/2023 so they can document. Unfortunate as i really enjoyed this store.

The owner was parked half in the ADA space and half on the access lines while he was unloading business supplies. There were plenty of parking spaces all around but he chose to block the Ada space. I will never support this business because this business owner does not care for people with disabilities. His actions show it.
