After having a post office box at Edwards for 20+ years, I am now being charged $200 per year. Why? Because supposedly a notice was put in the box (There was no notice). My option pay or get a new PO box number. Theft and extortion. If there was ANY other option than USPS, I'd take it.

Have to laugh at all the bad reviews. This tiny post office has to deal with mountains of packages, most of them from Amazon, because many folks can no longer be bothered to purchase things locally or make a periodic trip to Frisco or Glenwood for their needs. I've had a PO Box at the Edwards location for a year and they haven't lost a single package or letter, so I have to believe a lot of the issues reported here come down to user error. Learn the system, know what you're ordering and who they're using to ship, and maybe also consider doing what people did for years, i.e. going to actual stores to buy stuff. And yeah, tons of people have moved here, so there isn't always PO Box availability and you might have to go to a different town to get one. Sucks but that's our 2024 reality. Thanks for hanging in there local PO crew.

I’ve had a PO Box for over two months, come to find out the person that registered me the box never changed the name on it. So all my mail has been forwarded to the previous persons new address. Packages that my family paid for, letters etc are gone and never got returned to sender or delivered to me. Today USPS informed me they made a mistake and are “changing the box to be in my name now”. Are you for real?? You didn’t think to do that when I got the box?

Gross incompetence. CONSTANTLY having my packages returned to sender for no reason or scanned as undeliverable. Have made countless claims on amazon to get refunds on packages that these workers lose.
I am convinced that whoever runs the afternoon mail route gets too lazy to finish their route and just starts scanning things as return to sender or undeliverable to make it someone else's problem. I've lived in Dillon, Avon and Vail which all have less than stellar reputations for their post offices, but this one is far and beyond the worst out of all of our crappy mountain town USPS locations.
I've tried to be nice, I try to go in with patience and understanding because "you can catch more flies with honey than vinegar", but I have had it. I have wasted so many hours of my time going in to this post office to try to understand why they continue to offer such an unacceptably bad service. If you show the worker that your address is perfect and ask them why it was returned to sender or marked as insufficient address (which I have over a dozen times at this point), they never know the reason nor care to find out why.

I don't understand why my packages are sent back to send with Insufficient address, when it's clearly on the labels. I've lived here for over 25 years and this has cost me time and money reaching out to the people that they send packages back to. They can't keep employees, and if they do, they don't care if you are upset and don't care that it's their mistake. This is the worst USPS facility and I don't recommend anyone opening up a box with them. They will lose your package or send it back. I think they send them back on purpose just to make us all miserable.
All I can say to the staff there is to READ THE LABEL. It's not that hard and it's in the format they THEY requested. Soooo over it.

Horrible service. Packages were delivered TUESDAY. Still nothing. It blows the mind that people put up with this BS. There should be HOME MAILBOX DELIVERY HERE IN 81632. Cannot wait to move out of this PODUNK TOWN.

Only putting one star because it will not let me leave no stars. This place is absolutely ridiculous. Tried setting up a P.O. Box the lady said none were available. I asked her how to receive mail which she replied with I have no answers. My wife and I have had multiple packages arrive at the facility then get sent back for absolutely no reason. I tried picking up a package that was returned to the facility. The SAME lady told me she was not allowed to go through the returned packages even though I had the tracking number and all of my information. This post office is a complete joke.

In the last six months I have had *four* packages returned to sender for "insufficient address" even though they were properly addressed using the address provided BY THE POST OFFICE. I also frequently (more than once a week) get important mail in my box that is addressed to other people leaving me to question how much of my mail is regularly mis-delivered. At this point I am convinced one of their employees is intentionally sabotaging their operations because that is more likely than there being that many incompetent people working there. I have no choice but to deal with their hilariously unreliable package and mail handling because they won't deliver to my address which is less than 3 blocks from their building. Dealing with something as simple and institutional to this country as the USPS should not be this difficult. I've never seen a USPS office in any other state or town I've lived consistently drop the ball as badly as the Edwards Post Office. It's the single most frustrating thing about living in this town, without question. I wish I could give them zero stars because they will no doubt misplace the one I did give them.

Honest review due to multiple encounters with male employee at this post office. Very flat, rude and dismissive male employee. Very unpleasant whenever I have to go and he is the one that helps, next time I would rather wait for the female employee to assist. Never even says hi or replies to how are you and does not appear to enjoy his job and it clearly reflects. I understand being short staffed is common problem here, but basic courtesy is also a standard customer service expectation from an employee.

An envelope with important papers never arrived and they returned it due to lack of information and they did not call the cell phone number.

I was trying to get a PO Box and the system was trying to charge for the box. Alex was extremely helpful and patient while he tried to work out the issue. He fixed the problem even though I am sure he was frustrated with the issue. He worked through it with a good temperment and I did not have to pay. I appreciated his perservance.
