I went to go have some balloons inflated for my daughter's 2nd birthday on 12/9. Unfortunately there was no one in floral, but the manager did not want to simply send me away. Instead, he asked another associate to teach him how to use the helium. He took time away from his own duties because he wanted to help me make my kid's birthday special. Even did a few of the foil balloons I brought in with her favorite movie character! I really appreciate it! I wish I could remember the name of the manager, because he deserves to be recognized for his hard work and customer service.

The prices aren't horrible, but the whole store is horrendously understaffed. The poor employees are run ragged and the management is just plain hostile.

Produce is always moldy, wilted or on the verge of going bad. Lettuce so limp it is absolutely unbearable. The Safeway for U mobile app coupons never work and items often ring up for more than they are supposed to. Be prepared to take a picture of the shelf price of every item you purchase and screenshot every deal and be prepared to argue with the cashier on how items aren't ringing up correctly at the cash register. After arguing for a solid 15 mins and after the cashier realized that I would abondon an entire cart load of food did she relent and honor the listed price, while muttering under her breath "why am I not surprised?" I can not wait until they build a King Soopers in Elizabeth.

Sucks that most every time I come in there is something to complain about. I hate complaining. Shopping shouldn’t be a bad experience. Please clean the coolers by the produce side entry doors. When walking through those doors being greeted with a awful smell is not ideal especially when you’re shopping for food. I could also complain about the associates, a shorter dirty blonde haired lady in the self check out is always so opinionated. She likes to ask ridiculous questions then continue to give her opinion on the answers. Making it very uncomfortable to check out and could possibly make a customer distracted and leaving with product not scanned.I am a supervisor in retail. This store needs a new culture.

This place is horrible. Expired food, dirty, and extremely rude staff. Stay far away from this failint store. Had been going there for 18 years but no longer with lazy, rude staff and lack of product stock or care.

I purchased two gallons of 2% Great Value milk on Saturday July 16 with an expiration date of July 26. The first gallon was fine. Opened the second gallon on Saturday July 22 and it was sour. I called the store and spoke with Erica. I introduced myself and told Erica what had happened. She said I needed to have my receipt. I unfortunately do not save my receipts. I told her that I could bring the almost full container of milk back to the store as it was sour 4 days prior to the use by date. I told her that it was a waste of my money if I couldn't bring the milk back. I asked if there was a way to look up my purchases. She said no there was no way to do that. Interesting because both King Sooper and Sam's Club track your purchases. In any case, when I said I didn't want a refund, all I wanted was my milk. She said emphatically, "THAT'S WHAT I TOLD YOU. YOU CAN EXCHANGE THE MILK"Good grief, I am the customer here, not the enemy. Just be nice to people!I attached a photo of the gallon of milk. I have tried to fill out the "contact us" form but when I hit "submit", it doesn't send

My review is for the bakery...Ordered a birthday cake and it wasn't very good. The frosting was so so thick, we had to scrap off most. We ordered a cake with raspberry filing, half the cake was filed with Another layer of Thick frosting and there was only a small very THIN line of raspberry filing in the middle.

Ok so I got treated so rudely by a guy that is a personal shopper collecting groceries. IWe apparently were in his way and he made an obnoxious comment to us. I went and spoke to store manager who acted like he didn’t know what a personal shopper was. I told him who did it to us and he acted unconcerned. He said sorry but that was it. I’m a local here and I will avoid this place and give my business elsewhere.

Every single time I’ve been here, it has been nothing short of a nightmare. Staff is extremely unfriendly and unprofessional, especially the blonde manager. She accused me of returning an old, expired item that I had purchased an hour prior. I had to prove that all of the particular items were expired by bringing her to the shelf and showing her. I’ve never been treated like a criminal for no reason. 75% of the items here are expired and the store is absolutely filthy all the time. We had food poisoning from many items as well. I will not shop here ever again and I will take my business to Walmart.

They are always so friendly and helpful at this Safeway. I only shop here, even if it's a little farther. Thank you

One of the dirtiest Safeways I have been to. The main front entrance always smells of trash. I never see anyone working in Floral, and the flowers are always wilted and brown. Some employees are friendly and helpful, others not so much. I try to use other Safeways.

The store is consistently out of stock of key items. The only time they are ever in stock is when they're expecting a visit from their upper management. ( Example: the ready to eat section, think sandwiches and salads and soups in the deli section has literally been empty for the last 14 days, miraculously it was filled today because they were getting a visit from. I would assume the district or area manager)The meat department is severely lacking. The few cuts of meat that they have available are subpar, cut super thin, or not very appealing. If you're able to make the journey, it's definitely worth the trip to head to either the Castle Rock or falcon locations. The store director here is literally the worst and I would assume the only reason he has not been replaced is because they cannot get anyone else that wants to manage this store.

I always choose Safeway when I need to grab something quick because the store is physically smaller. I see a few issues with Safeway to consider it for my regular shipping. One is check out lanes, especially the self checkout lanes, which seem to always be busy with long lines. The regular checkout lines, it seems that they typically only have one or two open and the aisle way to get through the whole center portion of the store seems to be very crowded every time I go in. When I need to get something quick. Oftentimes I have to go to the fresh produce section which is on one end of the store and the deli and dairy sections are on the complete opposite end of the store making it a long walk to just go grab a few items. Maybe that's by design, but certainly not convenient. The next issue I have is with the gluten-free options available in the store. It's very difficult to find gluten-free items because they aren't marked as clearly as other grocery stores and the variety is lacking in many areas. For this reason I don't choose to shop at Safeway as my regular store. Rather a quick in and out. The quality of the food is fine and the service seems fine. I think a better store layout and better product mix would increase my rating here.
