I strongly warn against purchasing from them. They are liars. The salesman will say anything to get you to put down that initial deposit.EDIT: The salesman was Derek CarlsonWorst purchasing experience I've ever had in my entire life. When you go to spend a large amount of money, you expect the company to be upfront with you before you put a down payment on a building like this. Be sure to get a complete price of your building before you sign anything. They will tell you, like they told me, that you can get your building put up for less than x amount. Once you sign that first contract. You're locked in and you lose your down payment if you pull out. After that, they're going to get you to sign another contract for things like insulation a door opening, sealing it to the floor, sealing the eaves.Overall, I would never recommend this company to anyone. The terrible part is, we purchased two buildings and expected a delivery date that was the same for both buildings. They said we could save money by shipping them together. My delivery date is a month sooner than I was told and the buildings are being shipped separately.None of anything that their initial salesman told us came true. They are liars.

Unfortunate Experience with Armstrong: A Review on Delivery Issues and Business PracticesI recently encountered a highly disappointing experience with Armstrong, and I feel compelled to share my feedback to shed light on some concerning aspects of their service. My intention is not to harm the company but to encourage a reconsideration of their policies and practices for the benefit of all customers. The primary issue revolves around the lack of transparency during the delivery process. I was shocked to discover that a box had fallen during delivery, a fact that was not communicated to me until the delivery driver arrived. The subsequent information I received from the original truck driver, rather than directly from Armstrong, was disconcerting.Armstrong's policy mandates the completion of a docusign, confirming receipt of the shipment and committing to inventory the items within five days. This is coupled with the requirement of a scanned copy of the cashier's check for the driver. Unfortunately, not all items were included in the initial delivery, yet full payment was insisted upon. This raises ethical concerns and potentially points to fraudulent business practices. Ideally, I should have been promptly informed of the situation, allowing for a collaborative resolution. To exacerbate the situation, I learned from the truck driver that Armstrong planned to expedite a truck with the missing items, without a manifest. This lack of documentation left me unaware of what was missing from both the original and subsequent shipments. Furthermore, an additional box of parts arrived beyond the stipulated five-day period.Had the initial shipment been complete, timely inventorying could have taken place, allowing my team to commence work promptly. Unfortunately, due to the delays and an incomplete shipment, my team had to transition to another project, resulting in a three-month setback. In conclusion, while Armstrong's five-day policy may be designed to safeguard the company, its implementation lacks transparency and customer protection. The insistence on full payment for an incomplete shipment and the subsequent delays have not only raised ethical concerns but also had tangible negative impacts on my project timeline. I urge Armstrong to reevaluate its stance and consider implementing more customer-friendly and transparent practices for the benefit of all clients.MY ADVICE: FIND A LOCAL FABRICATOR IN YOUR AREA. IN THE END YOU'LL HAVE SAVED MONEY AND TIME.

Hello all,I purchased a building from armstrong steel a year prior. I just started putting the building together. When I initially received the building materials. I immediately noticed certain parts were missing from the parts list that was designated for the building design. I received 0 bolts and 0 cross rods for the building. I was fine with that since they sent those after I spoke to them about how they were missing. However, now that I finally started putting up the final structure, I noticed even further parts were missing. Now I cannot finish the building because I am still missing those materials. I contacted them to replace those materials but their answer was that I ordered from them a year ago and they cannot do anything about it. The 1 year mark was on the 12th of December. So even though it is 10 days later they say they cannot send me any parts to finish the building.I bought this shop from them because of the positive reviews that were displayed here. I did not care for price or anything. It was more important to me they had a great reputation rather than the price point of the buildings they were selling. Now I have no way to finish the building due to their inability to fulfill the order correctly. If I could leave them a 0 star review I would. In this nation, if you pay for a service, I expect to receive the service or the product that I paid for.My final recommendation is to find someone who designs similar buildings in your home state rather than from another state. Do not purchase anything from Armstrong Steel.

Make sure you know what you are actually going to get before paying the down payment. Don’t expect a “special deal price” if you want to add garages, additional doors, windows, special colors, etc. If you’re looking for a simple building, they seem great. If you tell the sales person that you plan to create a house and show them detailed plans for openings, and they act like the price will not nearly double they are being dishonest. For perspective, I planned to add 20 window openings, two more walk doorways, and two more entrances. This didn't deter the sales rep from acting like this was easily doable for very little additional cost, but he must lock me in immediately (the down payment). Luckily I read reviews and went in person. Once there, they were very professional and honest, but the price nearly doubled. I wouldn’t have planned for this if I hastily deposited the cash which would have locked me in with using them or losing thousands of dollars. If you’re looking to build a home and adding openings, the price will go up substantially, only after you’ve already provided your down payment.Sales seemed very eager to take my money and pass me off to someone else to add my needs to the building.Read reviews, there are plenty that offer dozens of examples that will mirror your needs, both good and bad. They may be great, but used dishonest sales tactics after knowing my intentions with the building. I went with Sunward, they took the time to provide a great estimate up front, no special sales promises after hearing my plans. One star so people will read this.

Working with Armstrong has been great. Breanna Ibanez is my project manager who has walked me through each step. We made a few design modifications which dialed in my building requirements. Can't wait to see the product onsite and built. So far, my experience has been excellent.

If there was a no star option I would choose that. I gave a $6500.00 deposit to "lock in" my price. Signed all papers sent to me by deadline dates. Was told I didn't sign the final design papers on time even though I had not received them before the date Armstrong said they were due. Armstrong changed the snow load agreed upon initially and refused to acknowledge their delay to meet county building code in the final design agreement. I was then told my new COD amount was over $5000.00 more than the agreed upon price and STILL subject to change before COD. I objected and requested my deposit be refunded. Kade (Armstrong Customer Service) was condescending and rude, falsely claiming the delays were mine. I referred my case to the Colorado District Attorney and Better Business Bureau. My advice is DO NOT BUY from Armstrong Steel

Armstrong took my money three years ago, refused to give me sufficient answers for months, directed me through several, increasingly unhelpful project managers, nearly TRIPLED the price, and will not offer a refund or any other actionable direction. I have reached out to them, client advocates, and executives at the company, with no path forward. Stay away!!

While steel prices have gone down, they doubled my contract price claiming its due to increased steel prices. Wish I could give them a 0 star review.Edit: Was told in May 2021 that building would be delivered in 3 months. Paid $8,000 deposit. After 3 months, was told 6 months, after 6 months, 9 months, etc. After more than a year, they sent me a scheduling packet, but never answered questions I needed regarding details of truck access for delivery (I was building a new road for their truck delivery). Not until a year after that do I get another scheduling packet. My questions still not answered, several project managers that had come and gone. And, no answer as to why the price had doubled. According to local news reports they are in a class action law suit.

BEWARE OF FILED CLASS ACTION LAWSUIT in Colorado Court, over 100 class members!! More info can be found by searching. Many issues predate covid and claimed global supply issuesWant to know why there are not more bad reviews? Armstrong threatens individuals if you post a bad review. To cancel a contract, you must remove all negative remarks, or pay $6,000 per incident for any negative feedback anywhere, including BBB. Disclosing the existence of this cancel contract is also against the terms. Would a legitimate company need such a statement in their agreement to cancel?Additionally, they have started having their lawyers go after people with defamation cases, I have firsthand evidence of this from friends - Baird Quinn Legal LLCArmstrong has not reached out, they are only "working with me" by letting me put the project on hold until prices maybe come down, keeping my large deposit hostage. Armstrong if you are really willing to work with me state something here guaranteeing a returned deposit. I have called repeatedly and gotten nowhere, other than a "sorry nothing we can do" You have offered no real assistance, no matter what your internet answering team may claim. Answering these reviews inflates your google presence, why not keep customers happy after the order instead?Armstrong sets the prices, they can choose to honor my contract at any point. They claim price increases are not happening now. That was the case when my contract was signed as well. A friend has not received a building going all the way back to 2016, before covid. Armstrong seems like a good company, and is very helpful on the phone, until they get your money.Original PostPosting anonymously. Armstrong Steel Buildings has apparently threatened people with defamation lawsuits for speaking out. They take your deposit and do not deliver on the contract. they have thousands of my dollars, and are only willing to give me a building if i pay more than 2x the original contracted amount, or I can walk away with nothing! - no return deposit. Their creative approach to fix this is waiting indefinitely to see if steel prices ever come down. I have spoken with the vp at length and they have only been able to reduce the overage slightly, but this is crazy! They have no remorse and arent willing to do anything for meAlso notice that most 5 star reviews are from 1 or 2 review people (no google history of reviews, likely fake) and 1 star reviews are from real people with many past reviews who are having huge issues. They are falsely flooding their rankings; do your research. bbb rating may be high, but they are screwing many real people. Armstrong website make them seem like an ally. This draws you in to trust them, but please go elsewhere. perhaps expensive lawsuits are the reason deposits are not returned they cant afford to return and stay in business. Google "denver 7 abc armstrong steel" to see more info and coverage of the pending lawsuit and issues. Another article is now posted google "armstrong steel class action lawsuit"

My grandfather, father and I have been in the design-build business for over a century. I just bought my first Armstrong Building yesterday after erecting one for a customer of ours on Martha's Vineyard. We do everything from custom homes to metal buildings and have worked with other steel buildings in the past but after my experience erecting the Armstrong Building, it was a no brainer. It's obvious from the detail and precision of every part that they care about the experience even after the building is delivered. I love that Armstrong Steel manages their detailing & engineering in house rather than overseas too. I was able to call and speak directly with the ones designing the building when I had questions. As a civil engineer myself, trust me when I say, that makes all the difference!

When I bought my building, I was afraid that it would be too big of a project to handle but Armstrong made it easy. I needed a new barn, and while comparing my options, I discovered that an Armstrong building was equivalent in pricing to other wooden pole barns. It was so easy to erect that it only took four friends and I, one weekend. When friends see my building they love how it looks, they would rather stay in the barn than in the house! Highly recommended.

Breanna Ibanez was our rep and she was fantastic! Fast to respond and fast to make the changes we would inquire about. We started with another steel company, but glad we found Breanna at Armstrong because her customer service went well beyond the other companies. We can't wait to install our new Armstrong building!
