Booked the reservation online with a coupon, expecting a reasonable cost of $900. However, upon arriving to pick up the truck, we were bombarded with numerous complications and hit with every conceivable fee imaginable. The primary issue arose when we discovered that paying with a debit card was forbidden. Although my companion had a credit card, they refused it due to him not being the main driver on the reservation. Consequently, we were forced to change the driver's name, forfeiting any discounts we had. During the process, additional unanticipated fees emerged. Things like, roadside safety net fee, cost recovery fee, fleet management fee, youthful driver fee, and an energy recovery fee. The grand total skyrocketed to $1463, a staggering $563 more than our initial online quote.To compound our distress, the toll dolly provided had missing pins, leaving the wheel straps precariously loose. This negligence resulted in the car we were towing rolling off while driving. Fortunately, we were within a residential area and not on a highway. We were forced to purchase the missing pins ourselves to secure the car.This ordeal was not only massively costly but also posed a threat to safety. I'd appreciate it if a customer service representative can reach out to me about these serious issues.

I reserved a moving truck a month in advance (7/11/23), arrived the morning of my reservation (8/13/23), only to be told they didn't have the truck I reserved available. I reserved a 16' truck specifically for the loading ramp. The only option given to me was to rent a 12' truck with no ramp. Additionally, I was told that 5-6 people the previous day had reservations for trucks that were canceled with no other alternatives. The customer service agents explained that their bosses' boss overbooked the truck rentals and continues to do so on a regular basis. Would not recommend or return.

I told them I wanted to waive the optional protection for renting a truck, and I was told that I couldn't rent the truck unless I got it. I as stood there contemplating what I'd been told, the guy started pressuring me, saying I had to hurry up because other people were waiting. I later discovered that it was illegal for them to coerce me into buying the "optional" insurance, and that they snuck on an additional road service charge for $90+.Also, the truck they rented me had low PSI in the rear tires. The PSI was supposed to be 80, the tires were at 55. It could have resulted in a tire malfunction while I was driving on the highway.Don't trust these people or this place!

Terrible experience.Customer service and counter clerks are not connected. The on-site clerk did all she could to help but she was tied to what the reservation said. There is nothing worse than being stranded in a strange city with no car, no way to rent a car on a Sunday with everything closing.

Reserved a mini van two months in advance, and Rhett didn't have one for me when I went to pick up my reservation. I'm not pleased with Budget and won't give them any future business.

My husband picked up the truck, before leaving the lot, he went inside to tell them the check engine light was on. The guy told him “don’t worry about it, it’s the catalytic converter.” The pick up spot is 6.8 miles to where we were loading it. We drove it from there in Colorado Springs to Englewood, which is 65 miles and for the sake of it we added another 10. We paid for 125 miles. We have been charged for 181 miles. There was is no way that is even possible. He also had to drive it with a flat tire. We tried to air it up, but there was no way to.The cab was not quiet at all and it advised as a quiet cab. As he was driving, it would lose power and would not pick up speed.Both locations and customer service are unwilling to help in anyway.

Tells me the car is required to come back with a full tank of gas, didn't realize till I left the lot that it's on half. Called someone in India, he said he'd note it but I'd still have to return it with a full tank.

I rented a cargo van from California to Denver and it supposedly had unlimited miles in the contract but when I handed it over at this time they told me that I spent more than a thousand miles and they charged me for those miles and they never returned my deposit and also the women who They are behind that counter, they are monsters, they treat you horribly and they make you sign the final contract to keep your money honestly I will not rent with this company again I do not recommend it, they steal your money, they are ungrateful I handed over the van very clean and with the tank full and the delivery before the agreed upon and the crazy women and witches from ai or treated me horribly I'm going with penske they are kinder and give very good customer service

Booked my rental over a month ago. Three days before my move and they cancel my order.I call their customer service and the guy who answers is the most aggravating person ever. I ask if there’s any way to check other locations, I really need a truck as it’s such short notice. He responds “we’re giving you 72 hours notice, that’s plenty of time”. First and last time I try booking this company.

You cannot use your own debit card with actual funds unless you can pass a credit check. Otherwise you have to have a credit card and pay interest... Didn't find this out until we showed up to pick up our rental to head out of state. thanks for the heads up! We'll be sure to not rent from you in the future!
