Without fail, the hot items at the deli are always either burnt to a crisp, several hours old or both. This is especially true when that rude man is working in the deli. I've asked before for fresh ones, and even when he's confirmed they're several hours old and clearly burnt, he refuses to make a new batch.
Worst, driest chicken tenders I've ever had in my life. Every. Time.

A package of strawberries had mold on it and several other items are expired on the shelves. Took this picture 3/29/2024. Gross. It's a small store, I won't go back but it might be ok if you need a quick stop for 1 or 2 things.

I like to go late in the day or before closing. There is hardly anybody there and the shelves are being restocked, it's quiet and the employees are more friendly and willing to help you with any questions and it's just a nicer and cleaner store than the other big grocery chain here in Denver.

It's like a backrooms horror video game. Walked in, halfway down the aisle heading to the back of the store, the acrid stench of rotting fish and ammonia hits you in the face, the closer you get to the meat section the more face melting it becomes. This is not a one time thing.
I went to get a brisket, and the meat had sticky brown blood all over the packages, which got on my hands. No napkins or hand sanitizer was on the meat counter, but I know the bathrooms are filthy so I decided to not wash my hands. Headed over to the bread and milk area and there were already eaten chicken bones just laying on the floor. Is this supposed to be normal? It's crazy in here. I go up to the cashier, oh. There are none. But there's a hunchback boy in a dress. Wonderful. I'll avoid that too. Way to be nuts Safeway. I feel like would have a better shopping experience in Venezuela or perhaps North Korea.

No cashier lanes were open early Sunday 3/3. Two boys were sitting near the self check machines. I politely asked if I could check out. One
boy opened a lane to check my groceries and then asked me if I wanted bags? How would I carry my groceries without bags? He bagged most of my items, but left them on the counter, I had to put them in the cart myself. No work ethic.

Overall this store is fine. Very thankful this is not a Safeway that is locking bathroom doors, however, this womens bathroom is GROSS. Please clean up.
