I was told by a mechanic that I had rust problems on the underside of my truck. I called The Metal Surgeon to ask for an evaluation of the problem before going ahead on the mechanical work that needed to be done. John was able to get me in the very next day and did an evaluation of the rust determining that it is not a serious problem and advised me how to address it myself saving me money and he did not charge for the evaluation. If the time does ever come when I need professional help to address a rust problem The Metal Surgeon will be where I will go.

I had minor damage to the bottom of my mini. The guys at The Metal Surgeon exceeded all of my expectations. They were able to get me in ahead of schedule, super quick turnaround AND the final bill came under the estimate. I would highly recommend this shop to anyone. They are incredible and more importantly their work is incredible!

Very pleased with this company, yes, it is a bit of a wait to get in but worth it. It is one of the few places in town that uses actual spot welding equipment rather than duplicating a spot weld for the older cars. I had multiple areas on my 1970 mustang repaired or replaced and the results were very good.

I was very impressed with the quality of work at The Metal Surgeon. I visited to inquire about work on a Subaru and was able to witness firsthand the excellent craftsmanship of the work done at their shop. The owners were helpful and professional. Definitely the place to go to for custom car work!

The metal surgeon did some work on our vehicle. It was done in a timely manner and turned out perfectly. The staff is very knowledgeable and professional. We would highly recommend them and would use them again if we need more work done.

I had taken my old truck across town to have Jon take a look at it to provide a quote for doing some restorative work that it needs. I never received the quote and the communication from the office was nonexistent. The inability to effectively communicate with me as to whether I would even receive the quote makes me glad I did not ever get it, because if these folks can’t even get a simple quote after three (+) weeks of waiting for it I can’t imagine what life would be like waiting on updates regarding the progress of this project. In the age where customer service is a dying breed, seems like it most certainly passed away at the Metal Surgeon’s shop. I cannot understand why it is so hard to just do what you say you will do; though these days it’s becoming more and more commonplace. Very disappointing to say the least.UPDATE: I did receive a quote for the work that I was looking to have done, but only after submitting this one star Google review. It is so disappointing that this is what it took to get their attention -they certainly were never responsive to my previous emails asking for the quote. What's also disappointing is the quote itself: there are a number of things that I found to be concerning about it.For instance, the quote was written on May 16th with an expiration date listed for May 16th as well. Was this as oversight or a result of the quote just being thrown together last minute? The quote itself was rather flimsy and did not outline in much detail the level of work that was needing to be done. I had previously been given an estimate for the same scope of work from another shop that was extremely detailed at 4 pages long as compared to the seemingly cobbled together one I received from The Metal Surgeon at half a page length. Unfortunately, the shop that provided me with the detailed estimate is no longer taking walk-in out-of-pocket customers, so I was really hoping to be able to trust The Metal Surgeon to take my money and perform the work.I was also upset when I saw the email containing this quote and a message stating, "Please understand we get many requests for estimates daily and do the best we can to provide them accurately and fairly." Well, I had requested a quote weeks ago -and only after sharing my poor experience here did they make good on their word in providing one. If they needed to shove me to the bottom of the stack and deal with more important (likely higher paying) customers, would have been nice to know that. They also had the audacity to state. "We are a a small business and work hard to provide top notch work on customer cars. If you could take down the Google review, I would greatly appreciate it." I replied to their email letting them know that because of their inability to effectively communicate with me on this very basic level, they destroyed any opportunity to gain my trust in their services and therefore I am back to square one in my search for someone who is, at the very least, able to let me know what to expect from them.I have no doubts that Jon and his team do amazing work. This is why I had such high hopes when I found their shop and set up that time to drive across town to meet with him to discuss the scope of the project. I also have no doubt that Valerie and whoever else assists her in the office needs a great deal of help in basic small business practices -as in communication. What a simple and easy thing this all could have been, but they chose to ignore my messages and respond only after getting a poor rating. Sometimes in life, you have to learn lessons the hard way. And I hope that in sharing this, they learn how to better treat potential future customers.

I brought a 1969 GTO convertible to them to install quarter panels and wheel housings.. take into account they do not make these parts for a convertible. I brought them parts for a hardtop and they needed to modify them to fit. I am very picky on work quality and could not be happier with the job they did. These guys are masters. I am bringing my 1966 GTO convertible to them next.
