Honestly have nothing but wonderful things to say about Tru. I love my Toyota more than anything and feel so confident that all the guys at Tru love it just as much as me and treat it like they would their own. From scheduling an appointment to getting explanation of service, to picking it up it has been nothing but an incredible experience. I will be forever taking my 100 series Land Cruiser to these guys because they are truly the best!!

Used to be amazing when they were smaller but since they have grown service and repair quality is an issue. Most recently the bumper they added in 2017 was found, by another shop, to have been rubbing on a hose on my AC for years and caused a leak. $1,400 in so far but could be more. Pics show the install clearly rubbing. Could've been wear and tear but could have been install. With other issues I don't trust them anymore. Prior issues include a squeak in the front bumper install that they thought was brakes and replaced the brakes a second time. I paid for the first set as I needed them replaced before the squeak. Second time was on them as they thought the first set was faulty. After second set of brakes replaced still squeaked brought it in again. After pressing to have the owner look at it as the tech couldn't figure out where the squeaking it was from their work from front end. The bumper that has been rubbing on my AC hose. I get it but the misdiagnosis cost me time and seemed not too hard to find once I had the owner look at. Thanks for the free brakes but cmon. Different 2001 four runner brought in. Leaking oil. Diagnosed with one expensive repair and paid them. But after speaking with a friend it didn't make sense why that repair was the cause of a large oil leak under the vehicle. I just trusted their recommendation. Asked again and the owner said it was a nut on the oil tank that wasn't put on correctly from the last oil change. Again, had to speak to the owner to get straight answers. That's what was causing the larger leak not the recommended paid for repair. We did had a little leak from the top of the engine but the larger leak was not addressed until I asked after fact. Plot twist, they had done the most recent oil change and dint put the nut on correctly. No mention of a faulty nut until I asked. Another occurrence. They are unresponsive in a timely manner for a build requests. Looks like another review had the same issue recently. I emailed several times without a response but they had done what seemed to be good work in the past so I wanted to go with them. Other shops responded within a few hours. I drove to the shop after several days. I would get a response, ask another question and then wait a few more days. They stated they were busy but when I stopped in the staff, including the manager were all sitting in the shop eating breakfast burritos and watching YouTube. I get you need breaks but didn't seem too professional or too busy. I have recommended friends to this shop and they have experienced the same. Long response times for build requests. Ive also seen a few recent reviews that mention the same. After asking to speak to the owner as I worked with him in the past before I did go forward with build and pre-paid for everything. Unfortunately I did need a refund last minute for that build as we had a financial emergency. It was nice to get a refund but I paid a ton for return shipping fees. I didn't ask for an invoice to see the return fees but I did feel it was excessive. I appreciated the refund so I didn't worry too much about a receipt. The owner is great but that's where it stops. Kinda basic or below average service from anyone else. I hate to leave a poor review but there are other shops in Denver that can offer great builds, service and prices. Shop around. This experience has put me out over a grand in poor work that had to be redone. The shop I am currently going to, to fix the faulty work, is wonderful and not hard to find though a google search and talking to other Toyota owners. I hate to leave a poor review but I think people should know the experience they could too have when spending their hard earned money.

I recently had the pleasure of visiting Tru Automotive for some much-needed car repairs, and I couldn't be more impressed with their service. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with a warm and friendly atmosphere that immediately put me at ease. The staff at Tru Automotive is not only highly competent but also incredibly knowledgeable about all things automotive. They took the time to thoroughly explain the issues with my vehicle and provided a detailed estimate for the repairs. I felt well-informed and confident in their recommendations. What truly sets Tru Automotive apart is their reliability. They completed the repairs on time, and I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of their work. My car ran better than ever after their skilled mechanics had their hands on it.Trustworthiness is a rare find in the auto repair industry, but Tru Automotive embodies it. They provided me with honest and transparent pricing, and there were no surprise charges or unnecessary upsells. These guys do an amazing job. Took my Raptor there to get a new bumper on with a light bar. Time and price was fair and it looks amazing. I sat in their waiting room while it was getting worked on so was able to hear their conversations with other customers as well. Very honest shop, if they cannot do the job they are going to find a place that can do it better than them. I will be using them again for installs and basic maintenance.Service: Body & Trim

First experience with TRU Automotive and definitely will not be my last! The whole crew was dedicated and customer first in their approach to not only me but all the others I saw coming and going. Advised me of the issues the Jeep was having, installed the customer supplied parts and even fixed the mistakes of the Jeep Dealership to make the wrangler how it was suppose to be from Jeep. Can’t recommend them enough! Thanks for growing a customer and look forward to working with them again soon!

They changed the coilovers on our truck and everything went well. After a period of time, the truck had weird noise so we sought for their help again. They helped cleaning out sands from skid plate (we felt embarrassed the noise was caused by silly sands) but they were super nice and helpful.Services: Steering & suspension repair

went in about 6 months ago to have my rotors and pads replaced on my honda. I went back with in the month for the brakes were still making noise. Went to another shop come to find out still had the original rotors from Honda so they never changed them out n I paid full price. Not honest mechanics too bad I was rooting for this shop.

Kudos and many thanks to Austin and his team at Tru Automotive for the outstanding craftsmanship and engineering they did on my 2016 JKU: - Upgrade the differential gears. With all of the weight we added to the JKU over the past seven years (35" tires, winch, full steel plating, overland storage, roof top tent (RTT, etc.) we noticed less power on mountain passes. Austin recommended upgrading our stock 4.10 gears to 4.88. On the way home from Tru Automotive after the 500-mile break-in diff service I was first in line at several traffic lights. I wouldn't say that I slammed the gas pedal, but I did press it with a little more spirit. And boy did the JKU respond! I'll look forward to having fun on the trails (and on the way to the trails) this year. Austin gave me the opportunity to see the work in progress and have an opportunity to speak with the master mechanic. I was impressed with the time Billy took to clean the rust out of the axle, insert the Nitro Sleeve Kit and find the proper spacing for the Nitro gears. It was an incredible work of a real craftsman who took pride in his work. - Replaced the serpentine belt. I sought Austin's advice on replacing the serpentine belt since it had rubbed the ground wire on my winch last year. Austin said that I was on the edge of the window for normal replacement and I followed his advice to replace the serpentine belt since we frequently travel hundreds of miles from a service station. I will rest easy knowing our serpentine belt shouldn't fail for some time. - Upgrade the RTT. The cherry on this year's project was the upgrade of our RTT to a to a GFC V2 Platform RTT. Austin listened to our concerns with the old RTT (height, total weight and weight disbursement) and went above and beyond our expectations. With my approval he and a colleague designed a custom machined bracket (6 of them) to attach the GFC RTT to the existing RhinoRack backbone. With Austin's ingenuity and passion to resolve the concerns with the old RTT he and his team reduced the overall height of the JKU with RTT by about a foot and reduced the weight on the roof by 37 pounds by eliminating the RhinoRack Pioneer platform. If you do a lot of off-roading, you should recognize that this will provide me with much greater comfort on off camber trails. The GFC RTT and Austin's design will also be much more aerodynamic on the highway. And the bonus is the GFC will take 30 seconds to setup compared to the 5-10 minutes the old RTT took to setup. - Lastly, Austin took the JKU for a drive before starting the work and noticed a spongy feeling in the Teraflex brakes I had installed by another company several years ago. His team performed a big brake service and it is wonderful to have confidence in the brakes again. In summary, I was very impressed with Austin, his machining colleague, Colter, Billy (the master mechanic) and Austin's GFC installation team. If you want outstanding craftsmanship, pride in workmanship and exceptional service at a reasonable price then Tru Automotive is the place to go.
