The staff here are the best and the only reason I still bank here...hopefully. The third party company they use to determine credit-card fraud is why I am considering switching banks. I had a double charge and tried explaining to the guy that called that It was likely an honest mistake and I could probably just get them to reverse the double charge. He pressured me for a particular answer and then said "Ok sir your card has been canceled". I asked him to un cancel the card but he said he could not. I was on vacation so it was a huge hassle. The card itself was petty new and unfortunately took a month to arrive so I am not interested in waiting another month for a card and the bank said they can't get me a temp business card. So im 30 days without a card and at this point would like to try a different bank and see if they can order me a card in under 30 days.

I went to Citybank Erie to get some dollar bills. The teller was so rude. I’m not even upset that she could not help me out but the rudeness was unbelievable. I went to Great Western and they were so nice. I’m moving all my banking to them because of their kindness.

Closed my account with no notice or call. Left 3 voicemails for them, no return call. Call corporate they transfer to the branch where no one answers. They still have my money that I cannot access because they closed my account. This is hands down the worst bank and customer service I have ever seen, they should be embarrassed.

Worst bank ever! They continue to charge me service fees on an account where no service fees are supposed to be charged!! My personal banker, April Zuniga, quit due to their incompetence, and when I tried to rectify the problem with customer service, they told me that they couldn't verify my identity EVEN THOUGH THEY SEND ME STATEMENTS, I GAVE THEM MY SOCIAL SECURITY NUMBER AND MY MONEY IS IN THER F-ING BANK!!! DO NOT BANK HERE.

In my experience, the tellers are bankers at the Erie location have been helpful and friendly. However, my husband and I had very different experience dealing with the business lending component of Citywide Banks. Both of us being self-employed, we qualified and applied for Payroll Protection Program (PPP) forgivable loans (made available through the $2 trillion Covid-19 stimulus package: the CARES Act) for our small businesses through Citywide's online portal immediately upon it coming available. We followed up with them and gave them everything they asked for within hours or even minutes. Everything was perfectly in order. They asked for additional documents today, operating agreements and driver's licenses, for some reason, which we gave to them immediately. Then, we simultaneously received an email that stated dispassionately that all SBA funds had been depleted. We called and they said Citywide had processed $1.5 billion worth of loans and 1,200 applications... but ours were not among them. In speaking to other small business owners who applied, not a single one was approved—we had “gotten the furthest” in the “application process” of anyone, yet in the end it made no difference. Ruth’s Chris Steak House, with 5000 employee (hardly a “small business”) received a $20,000,000 PPP loan. Yet here we are, the ones hurting the most, and the response we get? “Sorry, better luck next time.” One thing could not have been more clear throughout our interactions with Citywide: they were intentionally misleading us while having no intention of processing our loans. Truly local banks are pretty hard to come by in 2020, and maybe we would have had the same experience anywhere (that’s all we’re hearing), but I urge you to look around for something better than Citywide as they’re no better or more local than the JPMorgan Chases, Banks of America, Citigroups, Wells Fargos, or other blood sucking megabanks out there.

Citywide tellers need more customer service training. I refuse to talk to the Erie branch anymore for information or answers. Horrible customer service from the tellers and they make me feel like I’m inconveniencing them. Thought I try the other locations but what do you know, same exact horrible customer service. It’s one thing to not know the answer but to have a bad attitude towards the customer and act like it’s so hard to give us good service by bothering them with our questions. So Disappointed. What a shame...

Citywide Bank is amazing. In a world of online banking where we're all just a 'number', this place is a pleasant reminder as to why everyone should have a trustworthy, brick and mortar, Bank. I had an issue where my account was overdrawn by a large amount due to a clerical error that caused a withdrawal to happen twice (not CityWide's fault and not mine either). I was in a panic Monday morning when I saw my account showing a huge negative balance. Thankfully I got a hold of April first thing in the morning and she fixed everything!!! I can't thank April enough. I was seriously distraught thinking about all the automatic withdrawals that were going to bounce until I got the funds redeposited in my account which could have taken a week (due to the incompetence of the 'other' institution that caused this issue). Anyway, I'm so thankful for Citywide and April's service. Other Banks could have merely said, "not our fault", and just kept racking up the overdraft fees along the way. But April rejected the second withdrawal and the missing funds were back in my account before lunchtime! Disaster adverted! Could have been a lot worse was it not for April and her great service. I'm happy to say I'll be a lifetime customer.
