I shipped a package to an overseas address today, and the staff at the post office were very helpful, professional, and efficient.

If you want earlier appointment than crowded city locations, and for quick, efficient passport application processing, go to this post office! This is a quaint little post office having helpful employees with an amazing attitude! I just can't believe some of the low ratings here... obviously some irate customers who don't know what they are doing, or they might reflect experiences with previous employees...I was struggling to get an appointment for my twins for passport renewal (re-application really as minors can't get theirs renewed) in and around Denver. I even tried walking in at a couple of post office locations and had an ugly experience in both, standing in line for a long time, only to be told no more walk-ins would be considered.I then realized that when we search for post offices to get an appointment, the website tracks our location and gives us nearby locations which may have appointments more than 3 weeks out. All we need to do is put in the name of the city around which you want to try - lo and behold, a lot more options open up when you try suburbs.Late last night, I got an appointment for today at the Erie post office which is 29 miles from home, but just a 35 minute drive - way better than standing in line for an hour at the Denver downtown location. The Erie post office is quaint and small, with hardly any place for people to form a line. I reached there with my kiddos 10 minutes before my appointment time. There were 5 people ahead of me of which one was for passport. I got to the front of the line in just 10 minutes. The employees attending to customers were super efficient and pleasant throughout. Alana and Jessica deserve a shout out.Jessica handled our kids' applications and both the applications were done within a matter of 10-15 minutes total. Absolutely pain-free experience!TLDR: Check out this post office if you live around Denver and want a quick appointment and want to be dealt with by very pleasant and efficient employees!

They lost my original adoption paperwork from my passport application and was extremely rude to me when I asked if it may have been left in the store, fell out somewhere on the truck, etc. They didn't even look, and just told me "no, why would we have it?" So, I never got them returned to me. The passport center had the return package certified on a certain date, so the post office WOULD'VE HAD IT. Then, as of LAST WEEK, my mail dashboard says I should've received the tags for my car, but I have yet to receive them. I've let them know it wasn't delivered, but I have yet to hear from them. Now that'll be another headache I have to deal with. I'm just surprised that such a small town is having this much trouble with their job.

I figured the Erie P.O. could use a good review for a change, and I had a very pleasant experience with a young woman-employee today.Maybe they hired some new staff since the bad reviews? If so, major improvement hiring her, I'd say!Note: I went in on a Wednesday morning the week before Christmas (for comparison to other peoples' experiences).

Definitely my least favorite post office anywhere near here. They have lost multiple packages. They put the mail in the wrong mailboxes in our neighborhood every other week. And currently they have lost an insurance check worth many thousand dollars. Go to UPS down the street on Arapahoe instead

Man I hate doing this but left me wanting more…. I mean, I know you’re a post office so the bar is low, but I’ve also been in some pretty impressive post offices… it’s like, don’t just bask in your averageness, but rather try to make people feel halfway content with their trip to your establishment…. Lol

Just waited 25 min for the person behind the counter to chat up the customer well after their business was done and dealt with. Very poor customer service, consistently. If you need to drop something off that is prepaid and ready to go, then go for it. If not it’s worth the drive to the next closest post office. Wow.

I had to get a new passport and the woman (sorry, didn't her name) and gentleman (Manuel) were very helpful and quick. I even had to call afterwards to make a correction on my application and they were able to assist. Thank you!

Super rude staff, they constantly lose things and packages come damaged. They also just threw away one of my packages when they somehow didn’t deliver it???? My tracking just said “disposed of”.

Staff was so helpful! I was able to call the Erie post office with a mail emergency while I was out of town. They held onto a package I needed for longer than they were required to, which I am immensely grateful for. Thank you!!

Veronica was very helpful. I had a radon test that I needed to ship back to get the results. She helped get my package weighed and the postage calculated, while multitasking and continuing to check-in multitude of packages for other postal customers.I feel like people take the postal workers and postal service for granted. Thanks again Veronica for the great service and helping me to get my package sent!

This is by far the worst post office I’ve ever encountered. They lost our international certified mail in their premises! This mail piece made it all the way from Europe, thru US customs, to postal "facility" in Erie and was lost by the employees inside Erie post office. Just imagine your mail piece that you have been waiting ( actually our sons birthday present from his grandma in Europe) making it half way thru the world and being lost when out on the delivery by your local post office. They even admitting it that they received our certified international mail that was addressed to me, that it is sitting somewhere in their post office but they just cannot seem to find it. If I could give them 0 stars I would. What a disgrace.

We needed passports for our kids, and the woman who helped us (Jessica) was pleasant, fast, and knowledgeable. I was really impressed. She completed all of our documents, packaged them, captured and printed photos of our kids, directed us on payment, and had the whole ordeal completed in about 10 minutes (which is faster than we can take just one passport photo at Walgreens). I know a lot of people have complained about the Erie Post Office, but I've always been helped by the nicest people and have never had an issue.

The person I talked with had no idea how to correctly fill out the change of address form for a trust. I recently moved to Erie after my husband passed away. I forgot to have the mail for our revocable trusts forwarded. When I asked her how to fill it out, she said she didn't know. I asked if I should put the full trust name in the Last Name section, or ?? She said, "Sure, try it and see what happens." Well, I don't want to randomly try things, I want to know how to fill out the form. Very frustrating. Who knows if I will every see that mail.

All workers were processing large quantities of packages or passports. After spending 10 minutes in a line that wasn’t moving, I left. There should be a self service station for easy transactions.
